  • It's been several days of cleaning out so we can clean up some barley. Gerdie got 42 years of dusty grease taken out and the container got converted for corn storage. Stay tuned for barley cutting up next! Thanks for all the love and well wishes for Elmo, we are happy he is in a great place with a good job ahead. :D Hope you're all doing well and staying safe. Thank you for being here! xx, The Bernards

Another wonderfully perfect video from a perfectly wonderful lady. Thank you so much for all you do Meredith. I love your channels and IG and FB pages. I even read many of the comments on here and agree with and add a 'Like' to many of them ... but there are always a few that must hurt your tender heart - apparently written by heartless, unthinking 'know-it-alls' that think they have to tell everyone how to do everything! Aaarrrggg! Some people really tick me off with their unwarranted, un-needed, and totally unnecessary words and opinions! Sorry for the rant but it just hurts me that some people can say some of the stupid things they do to such a warm, good hearted, caring, lovely, smart, humorous, and beautiful woman as you. OK, sorry again, I'll shut up now. But thanks again for just being you and all the good that you do.

While you lift your loader try keeping the bucket level by canting the lever arm while pulling back and doing the opposite while setting it down. This does it all in one motion vs stopping lifting and adjusting the bucket level. You won't spill anything out of your bucket by using jerking motions. As a caveat, say : "Barley, barley, barley, barley, barley," as you do it so you can remember what goes into the container!

This made me think of. “Stampede “ from Tremors. Golly my husband loved that movie. Y’all have some pretty land. I love your dogs, I had a mix that lived for you to say “load up”. He would sit in the chuck wagon for so long that we would go out just to take him for a ride. I can’t wait to see your son grow into those long legs. It boggles the mind what he/they both will learn from y’all, I wish I had listened more.

We had a little hunting cabin in northern Michigan. There were farms around and one of the fields was kitty cornier across the road from the cabin. I took a super cheap summer vacation and stayed in the little cabin. The beans in the field had nice green pods. I must confess I took a handful for dinner. The next morning that field was bare, just a few roots in sight. The deer had cleared 40 acres overnight.
