To my Cysters we are in this together !!
On this Episode we have the amazing Dr. Thaïs Alibabadi to break down exactly what PCOS is and ways to help symptoms .

This is probably the most detailed video on PCOS I’ve ever ever came across. I’ve been living with PCOS for well over 10 years and all my doctors have told me is to eat healthy and exercise but I wasn’t losing the weight. I started experiencing hair loss the past year and I could figure out why. Thank u so much for sharing your journey because I definitely needed it.
I know a schoolmate of mine who suffered greatly from PCOS problem ⚠️. Me and my wife never stopped ✋ and until we found the solution for her. She has loose weight without exercising 🏃 and she is having her regular periods now. Many women have become mothers through this extraordinary method. We are willing to help anyone else with this cost offerable method.
Metformin CAUSED KIDNEY DAMAGE!! do your research on this medication!
Agreed. The endocrinologist who diagnosed me didn't tell me this much about it.
Metformin does not cause kidney damage. The kidneys process and clear the drug out of your system via urine. If your kidneys are not functioning properly, metformin can build up in your system and cause a condition called lactic acidosis.
Me too
Im literally crying. I have been suffering with ALL of these symptoms for the last 10 years and its always diagnosed as obesity. Now I know I have the defining symptoms of PCOS and can manage my health. Thank you thank you thank you!!!!
Please do continued videos on what u started eating to start lose weight and exercise that you did ,so what you eat in day for pcos weightloss etc plzzzzzzzzzzzzzz we all need this thanks
Y’all. Please do your research on the effects of Metformin. Doctors prescribe it for PCOS. With long term use it can cause complications like heart failure and gastric issues.
Really great point. I couldn’t get adjusted to metformin I always felt off. Since starting it I have developed diabetes which is already easy to gain with PCOS and I developed Tachycardia (Fast heart rate) which can lead to the Heart failure.
Long term use of metformin leads to renal failure this is something we tell our pts with diabetes. So it’s important to do regular BUN, creatinine and GFR testing
Ovasitol is a great alternative to metformin to ask doctors about ladies !
It’s not for long term use
Usually it causes those who are overweight to lose weight and that reduces their pcos or get rid of it
Good point. I would say that people should look into Functional Medicine by Mark Hyman, they take a wholistic approach to the body and get better results by healing people and getting them off mediciation
I was diagnosed with PCOS 12 years ago and I am 27 and have done extensive research and one thing I hate doctors fail to mention is that birth control
Stabilizes your period HOWEVER it does not mean your ovulating. and if you want to get pregnant you must ovulate. Also seeing a Nutrionist who specializes in PCOS patients helps tremendously. Also long term use of birth control can cause your body to terminate pregnancy on its own . Just as the doctor said suppress symptoms not cure. There are also other natural / vegan supplements that can have the same and even better effects such as inositol. Not saying don’t listen to your doctor but do your own research and question everything . Because just taking a pill or 2 isn’t long term effective in my opinion . Also overly exhausting and strenuous workouts can have a negative effect and actually trigger/ worsen your symptoms due to stress. Slow weighted workouts with mild cardio is best . Not a doctor just have learned over the years
What are the best natural supplements do you recommend
@@AB-qv9ku I use turmeric, ovositol, probiotic, multi vitamins to name a few
Have you had a baby and besides those anymore?
I have had PCOS for years and NO ONE believed me when I told them how much I worked out and how few calories I was eating. It was sooo frustrating to try so hard but hit a plateau and not be able to lose any weight. I swear this video is like redemption for me.
It’s not a vein conversation! PCOS cause hormonal imbalances which effect our mood and triggers depression and anxiety. So on top of that feeling fat and frustrated doesn’t help
So informative. I really wish she would have touched basis on the 4 types of PCOS; insulin resistant, adrenal fatigue, inflammation, hypothyroid. Women suffering from PCOS can have a combination of symptoms from each type of PCOS.
This has been so helpful. I’ve been overweight, and had irregular periods all of my life. Most recently facing depression and excessive hair. Everytime I went to the doctor they say for me to diet and exercise which never works. I’ve been tested and everytime im told that I’m healthy. I’m going to get tested for this PCOS because I’m sure that I have that. Thank you for being brave enough to share this with us, you’ve helped me already.
I was diagnosed in my blood level FSH & LH.
Any updates?
Did you got tested?
@@JaNeeCH Same. Just diagnosed last week. Currently on day 3 of progesterone to bring my period on. To find out what was causing my issues is a relief and kinds scary
I found out 20 years ago that I had PCOS and it’s sad that it’s still not diagnosed correctly. It’s great to use your platform to get this out, so many of us are suffering in silence and in guilt for feeling crappy and not knowing why. Blessings to all our PCOS cysters out here! Xoxoxo
This really made me cry cause girl… I’m tired of trying to find solutions, but I’m going to see my ob and pray maybe this is the solution. That bloated feeling is so terrible and frustrating. This helps so much!
This just makes so much since, you have no idea how this video has connected so many dots on what I need to do now! I'm making an appointment right now! Thank you ❤️
I’ve never heard someone go so in depth on PCOS thank you so much for this
Thank you for sharing more of PCOS. I appreciate the dr for breaking down symptoms and ways to making if manageable. I have lived with it for 11years and never had a doctor break it down and show compassion and wanting to help make us all better. I wish I lived in California for i can see your doctor. Please continue the videos and your routine I can’t wait .
This was amazing. I have PCOS and this was the best breakdown I’ve seen. Thank you Candice for sharing.
Omg this video literally made me cry to know that I’m not alone in my frustrations. Thanks for sharing Candace 😭💖
This is the most understandable video I’ve ever watched on PCOS! I’m so glad that I came across this video I’m in tears! I took notes on this and I will present this to my doctor so she can help me finally!!!
Thank you so much for empowering us with information! Without it, we all struggle silently while being dragged along by these doctors who don’t give a crap to become more knowledgeable themselves. 🙏🏾 So grateful for you. Honestly, I had given up on trying to get help. I self diagnosed myself years ago. I told doctors and they offered me nothing but birth control. Said I was healthy, cyst on my ovaries that weren’t worrisome🙄...... blah blah blah.
Thank you so much for this video and your transparency. This video truly brought tears to my eyes because pcos is truly a diagnosis that a lot of people don’t understand. Blessings to you. 🙏🏾
Candice, you have helped soooo many women by being transparent. Thank you so much for bravery and selflessness.
Thank you, Candice! I really needed this video. I have all of these symptoms, and it's very frustrating. I'm calling my doctor today.
I love the way how she broke all of this down ! Very good video 👏🏾🙏🏾☺️💜Thank you
Love the knowledge that was shared here! Also waiting for more Comar vlogs! 🤎✨⚡️
Great chart and video!!
Wow. This was so informative!!! Thank you for this Candice .
I love this breakdown. I didn’t really start experience this until my early 20s body hair and acne. Irregular periods all types of stuff. And because I’m skinny pcos didn’t make sense and they said my testosterone wasn’t that high it couldn’t be that but it was and it made me so insecure. 😩😩so I appreciated hearing her say that even gaining weight is a symptom. I also struggled to get pregnant with my fiancée when I was younger and it made me so insecure as a woman 😭 and I wasn’t sure why because the doctors said you don’t have extremely high levels of testosterone or this or that for you to have pcos. So for the doctor to clear all this up was so amazing to hear.
Thank you so much for this. I have all the symptoms and have been tested for excessive testosterone in the blood. It came back normal I was so confused but this explanation on how you don't always have elevated testosterone in bloodwork in order to have pcos is mind blowing. I will look further and find a doctor that can help. Wish I lived in California to see Dr. Alibadi. Thank you so much!
This is amazing !!!! Thank you for these videos I’m currently going through IVF but once I’m done with this part of my life I’m getting my old self back. The comments of you look great or it’s just a little weight is so frustrating because it’s not me and I’m not happy with who I see in the mirror.
Thank you for this Candice 🤍🤍🤍
This video is everything! So informative and very easy to understand. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you for sharing this Candice I was diagnosed with PCOS i learned so much from this video thank you so much
Thank you for voicing out PCOS. And you look amazing!!!! Thank you for this video 🙏
This video was amazing !!! 🙏🏽 Thanks C❤️
I have struggled with PCOS for 18 years.... It's tough... The comments about not feeling well is spot on, we just learn to deal with it... All the medications mentioned in the video are by my bedside but I'm truly I'm not a fan of prescription drugs..... Would love to hear some all natural routines to wing myself off of them....
This is so amazing.. what’s so sad is that there isn’t enough doctors who care or educated them self... give me all the supplements you take on a daily.. it’s up to us to save ourselves and each
When I started losing hair I literally had breakdowns 😭 the weight gain, the irregular periods, and excess facial hair. It’s just so stressful 🙃
I’ve known I’ve had pcos for 11 years and this is the best breakdown I’ve ever heard of it!!! It motivates me to want to take my medication !
Thanks so much Cormar, July got diagnosed, but wasn't given proper medication insights. But this video is really helpful, I now know what to look out for in treatment stage.
I really appreciate you.
Wow, I have had PCOS for 4year and I have never heard it explained so well. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you thank you thank you,you have no idea people I needed this 😭🤗
WOW this doc deserves an AWARD!
I’ve been on birth control since I was 15 due to irregular periods. There have been times where I have tried to be off of them (because there is this new trend of shaming women on hormonal birth control but that’s a whole other conversation) and the acne, facial hair, and irregularity come back with a vengeance. Now I’m wondering if PCOS could be the underlying cause. Thank you so much for sharing this conversation 💙
I really appreciate this information. I've recently been diagnosed and the recover plan my doctor suggested was not this thorough. I feel hopeful
We all want her for our Dr she’s a blessing
This was super helpful as I have been suffering with pcos since 2013. When I was diagnosed, I kept being told to "diet & exercise". My response was well I am an athlete who plays basketball for a military Base Team doc! Everyday we have practice & have intense workouts & I eat clean so how much more "diet & exercise" do I need lol. I was also prescribed Metformin & Spironolactone but I did not like the way it made me feel & I expressed this to my doctor as well & so I was told I could be taken off but there was nothing else they could recommend (there's no cure) but to send me to a OB since I expressed that I would like to have children. This was so frustrating that I literally gave up & started to research holistic & natural remedies although I felt like they helped, it was a lot of vitamins & herbs to take and eventually I gave up on that as well. I went to NASM to become a CPT & Nutritionist and learn a bit more about my body & how to properly train ($2500, that's how desperate I got to get back to my true self). Am I there yet (my true self)? Hell no! But this video just encouraged me to book my appointment for follow up to get back on the proper meds to suppress the symptoms & trust the process so thank you Candice very informative & definitely a lot more information than what I have gotten with previous doctors!
Thank you all for sharing your stories with us 💖 It’s really helpful
I appreciate this in more ways than you’ll ever know
Thank you for this. I was diagnosed 3 years ago and I’m finally going to my gynecologist to get on Metformin. I didn’t know the injections exist so I’ll be adding this when I see her at the end of the month! Fingers crossed everything goes well! Thank you so much!
Update?
Omg. This video. In 2019 I went to my OBGYN to get blood work (which they charged me crazy) because I swear I could have PCOS (had weight gain, facial hair, irregular periods) but my blood came back normal and I felt soooo defeated. Because then I felt like I had to just live with it. I’m glad to know that I could have it because it would make so much sense. Still have symptoms. Not to mention my dad is diabetic! Wow wow. Thank you for this video.
Love this video! So informative.
This video has truly helped me i have pcos i was diagnosed about 5 years ago and I'm still learning how to manage my weight and all I got told was to do keto but no one ever said a low sugar diet i really am happy that u decided to do this video cause showed me that there is a light at the end of the tunnel thank i soooooo much 😍🥰
God bless you for sharing your story and these details! 👏🏼
This made me cry the first 10 min of this video I been dealing with this since I was 14 just getting diagnosed until I was about 24 I have most of these problems this video helped me out so much
Gracias candice and doc! ❤️
I was diagnosed last month. If anyone that live in Georgia
Dr.Tosha Rodgers specialized in PCOS she helped me so much.
Thank you so much for this video! 💓
Thanks sharing again! I didn’t know about these injections.
This video was super helpful!! I never listened to my doctor haha cuz she never sat down to explain it as detailed as this doctor!
I’m in tears. It’s hitting me that I most likely have it too. I have all the systems except for irregular periods. I’m crying because of relief. I feel like I have something to work with now because I’ve been so depressed.
Love love love this video and it’s content. ❤️❤️
Wow. I finally feel seen. I’ve struggled with damn near ALL of these symptoms and no one around me understands. They think I’m just eating too much (the weight gain), I’m eating bad (the acne), I’m not taking care of my hair (the hair loss), wild periods and insane moody PMS, etc. I knew I wasn’t crazy. I’ve known for years it’s more than just me.
I love this, I just recently got diagnosed with Pcos a week ago. When I was a teenager I always struggled with irregular periods never knew why. Now that about to turn 31 I noticed my body changing more and more. In which cause me to go get checked out. I can’t wait to get in until control so that I’m able to have another baby.
Can you say some of the things on how your body started to change please?
You look really, really good! Amazing!
Candice thank you so much for this
Thank you for this ❤️
I know Victoria Monet and Candice are friends but it's also the fact that they look and sound so similar that really gets me.
Love this video, so immensely educational. Thank you for sharing.
I have been on all of these medication except for the injectables which I will have to try. I think the dieting part is the hardest for me but I did keto a long time ago and that helped so much. Thank you so much for sharing ❤️
I believe it’s more so food than the med’s. I pretty much felt and looked “cured” when I followed low carb. That sugar is real!!
@@elleofellemanagement526 yes ur so right!! The crazy thing is my A1C levels have always been normal. But I’m definitely a carb eater.
Thank you for this video!
Love that you’re sharing you’re story ! Could you share holistic approaches to managing the symptoms. Coming from a holistic background it’d be great to see natural alternatives to medication ❤️
Yessss!! Same here. I make my own soaps, slowing down on harmful makeup etc. low carb diet and water religiously best cure🙌as far as working out, food is most important but working out with weights jump start the issue, not so much cardio but do it all see what works for you! Hope this helps.
@@elleofellemanagement526 thank you 🙏🏽
Try vitamin b8 (inositol)

I think I nearly cried. 😥 this is my life.
This is what I've been dealing with from 2020. I've been in such a depression 😞 and I didn't know it until a great lady doctor diagnosed me. It's such a struggle...
I have PCOS and it sucks I’m gaining sooo much weight now and it’s depressing. I’m Going through the motions with it. Bad skin, chin hair, weight gain like it’s comes with a lot. I went from 160 to 215 currently and nothing helps. This is my first coming over this video and this helped a lot Thank You 🙏🏽🥺
I'm having the same symptoms as you are. My dr does seem to believe I have PCOS though. I'm going to get a second opinion
Oh my God thank you so much
I also have pcos and this is beyond informative.
