    So inspirational and spiritually uplifting.
    The Reformation Hymn of faith in the words of Martin Luther,, triumphant over all opposition and odds, woven around John Bunyan's writings. Faith stimulating.

    I remember hearing this masterpiece when it appeared, the composers greatest achievement to my ears. Warlike passages contrasted with thoughtful and beautiful interludes such as a mighty fortress is our god. A holy war indeed. The final declaration confirms that mighty fortress! Beautifully played by the ISB.

    I was there (aged 16) in a seat next to the organ loft directly above the band! This was the Salvation Army Centenary Festival.

    More than a masterpiece, a monument
