GP035 Samior is my EDC. I love this knife. Incredibly light and razor sharp.
The samior also has an aluminum model for the same price as the ceo knife btw
Thank you for this! Really needed it
I just ordered the mini tanto version of the Samior
Thank upload this video very much! Bro.
Is it possible to get a replacement screw that holds the belt clip on? Mine fell off and disappeared, otherwise still love the knife and carry it every day 👍
Thank upload this video man.
Well done comparison - agree with your conclusion.
Never heard the clip referred to as a "belt" clip.
Yeah should have said pocket clip 😁
Hey both of ya, the clip doesn't care what it is clipped to : >
You can also clip it inside, or outside of your wasteband, or onto your shirt, or belt loop. The clip doesn't care. 😊
You can even clip it inside of your sock!
I remember, some years ago, there was a TV shopping channel for knives that always called it a "belt, boot, or pocket clip". Each host said it so often about each item that the words came out in rapid fire succession sounding like one five syllable word.
Great review I went with M390
I think I like the Samior better for breast pocket carry. It's clip and butt-end will easily pass as a pen at a glance whereas the CRKT advertises that it is a knife on the clip
Just bought the ti/damascus one. Hope you still get the affiliate click-through credit as it wasn’t the one you linked.
i have both and like the samior better!
Watched this a couple weeks ago to decide which one I should get. I should have known that I would just get both of them. and then also the crkt lck+, followed by the vortek flipper... and a couple of boker flippers... shit
Only if I had enough funds to afford my knife addiction 😂. But maybe I shouldn’t 🤷♂️
Love my CEO!
Samir has D2 knifes for $25
You got it.
Could you comment on the fact that the CEO appears to have a thicker blade? You state blade thickness is the same. I’m wondering if you feel the thin blade is likely to break.
I don't understand your question .he gave the measurements. the blades are the same thickness. How could he feel if the thin blade is likely to break ?
M390 doesn’t compare to low end Chinese steel. I was about to buy a ceo but looked at the steel. Good thing I stopped and looked at my options! I just needed something cheaper to use everyday, rather than microtechs and such lol
Steel is so much less relevant than most knife bros think. the issue is its used as a marketing gimmick by companies like spiderco. Steel choice does matter. Aand in an edc knife you do generally want a decent amount of wear resistance if you can get it most of the time, especially in a smaller lighter use knife.. but, it doesn't matter nearly as much most think it does. Its not the first thing you should be concerned about at all. Aand most steels aren't THAT much different for a given use. Like the difference between aus8 and m390 is a decent difference, some users will notice it for sure, but the difference between aus8 or say 440c, not so much. At that level it literally don't matter.
I think you mean you low end Chinese steel doesn't compare to M390, (unless you are saying that low end Chinese steel is actually better than M390.
@@warblerab2955 I don't even understand what the OP is trying to say Aus8 is not a Chinese steel. It's a Japanese steel.
Lmfao the ending
Yes, but if you were attacked by a wolf or a bear, could you stab them in the carotid with this? Is it strong enough and long to penetrate? I'm searching to buy the lightest thinnest knife possible for trail running. A friend of mine was attacked by a bear on a run and somehow a pistol did not stop the bear but a knife to the neck did the job in less than a minute.
I would think a neck knife would be a better option if quick defense is what you're looking for. The CEO or similar are gentleman's knives and not really built for self-defense, but would work in a pinch. Any knife is better than no knife.
I always carry some type of fixed blade when in the woods where I have quick access for that possible scenario you mentioned; bear, cougar, or any large predator. Sorry for rambling.
Check out the Buck 'Cavalier'. @@johnnydoe66
RoadToad or DirtSquirt ?
Both at one time or another 😉
@@Hodakaguy , in the early 70's a friend had a dirt squirt I used to ride , I had a Kawasaki , he wanted a combat wombat , but I lost track of him and don't know if he ever got one or not . I wish I could go back in time , I would have ridden more for sure .
Two thumbs up big man .
@@tomstone6247 That's awesome. I have a lot of hours on Hodaka's....fun bikes for sure!
Belt clip? 🤔
ceo is a scam, all these knife are not worth 20 dollars
These things are letter openers. Let's get real.
I every day carry with mine, it's been awesome 👍
They’re designed for “gentlemen” aka people who work indoors at office spaces all day. Of course they won’t hold up to the abuse that knives made for carpentry or survival can handle, they’re made to cut tags off of clothes and open packages,
I got mine to put in my shirt pocket. You never know.
Come on man, most city beta’s only need finger nail cleaners 😂😂
If you care about the future of your free country the Chinese samior is unacceptable. The CEO is Taiwan made and politically aligned.
@ceedub619cameraman3 correct, both my phone and this tablet are made in Vietnam, profits to Korea. Worth noting that iPhones are now made in India, though given their support for Russia through fuel purchases that's not much better. I only buy Chinese goods of any type as an absolute last resort.
