man...that complete change in mikes voice after his partner said “get us in” ..those three words was all it took and he knew shit had hit the fan and it was time to book and you could hear it in his response.
That was so cool.
Ya, that was hard to watch.
I could immediately tell something was very wrong when she started staring off to one side...very alarming sign
It's at 7:33 -> if someone is skipping
I started tearing up when he said that, just imagining it was my own baby, the amount of panic I'd feel if I heard that
The way the elderly man fixed his wife’s hair was adorable. Even with Alzheimer’s he wanted to make sure she was alright. My poor heart melted.
Sometimes, they never forget their significant other....and it is really the sweetest thing. I've worked with a few couples that both had dementia/Alzheimer's, and they remembered even after one of them might have passed.
He was very sweet, and I hope it'll not change. My Dad at a certain point did not recognize his wife, my Mom after 40+years of marriage. He'd ask who that woman was. It's a terrible disease, very difficult for the caregiver.
@@jenniferp5916 I've seen it upclose too.. it was my grandma, didn't recognize any of her children.. some days she would tho, sometimes thinking my dad was my uncle and vice versa. horrible disease, i wish i never get it, if i need to die a couple years before so be it. i value my cognitive capabilities a lot, and i can't imagine how bad it must be to feel it slowly going away...

Sweet corn comes out the same way it goes, and unfortunately, I can attest to that 😂

Thepaintrain2013 I had a temp of 106.4 when I was a young kid. Nobody knows what was going on, but I do remember the hatred I felt towards my mother when she put me in a Luke warm bath.
@@amberblyledge7859 she did that to bring your fever down. I remember being put in lukewarm baths when I have had fevers as a child.
How does the mom stay so calm? I’d be an absolute Wreak! Calm moms are the best moms because they are level headed!
I wonder if some of it is shock. She's 19! That's terrifying as a young mom.
I think she didn't really grasp the seriousnes of the situation
She had felt with him going through the situation before therefore now she probably has an understanding of what's going on. Or she pray and believes he would be alright as she pray for him.
I usually don’t have time to grasp what’s happening until I’ve had time to process.
She could have been freaking out on the inside. We don’t know
I'm glad they tell us what happened in the end to all the people. I also watch Nightwatch and I end up wondering what happened at the hospital to those people
I love these two shows as well. But I wish nightwatch continued in New Orleans
Oh thank goodness. I just finished the part where the baby gets into the hospital and I was like WAIT WHAT HAPPENS.
Nightwatch tells you what happened just wait till the end of the video...
Night watch is really stressful to watch there is so much dramatic music and how they scream and talk loudly and stuff. this show their calm even with a serious case they talk sweetly and keep everyone calm and the music isn't dramatic or anything I like nightwatch buts just such a huge difference from this show
Oooo I love nightwatch
I'm American, I've lived in Rhode Island my whole life. It's very interesting for me to see what ambulance services are like in other places. All of the paramedics in this video seem extremely caring and competent.
Wonderful.
I worked on block island for years. I’m from Ohio though!
Is it true you have to pay for an ambulance in the US?
Haya Abdulla of course.
They are all so low key ...... not like here in America. Ours are so stressful.
Driving through providence in an ambulance must be a nightmare tho. I get stressed out just driving normally. Cant imagined trying to get to someone in time.
That little baby had me stressin.

Me too😢
I’m already stressing and I’ve not seen it yet 👀
Oh lord! Omg get it now😰😰😰
Same!!!!
"Mike, Get us in" - man that gave me chills
That was some badass line delivery
That baby girl going totally still like that was so scary! I can't imagine what her parents must have been feeling. The poor thing.
The mothers vacuous look as her baby stares into space makes me wonder if she needs to be a patient too.
@@caraleehagood7732 She's probably in shock or trying to stay calm not to worry her baby
@@caraleehagood7732 that's a clear indication of shock in a patient that may also require treatment. It can become even more complex for first responders especially with an atypical representation of shock.

I love how sweet all of these paramedics and EMTs are with the elderly. I absolutely adore how they talk to them and really take care of them. Such genuinely sweet people.
LOVE that they tell us what the results were for each client.

Here we charge drivers who don’t pull over. We just give the cops the license plate and the owner gets the ticket and points. We don’t even have to prove who was driving the vehicle.

Same thing happened to me last year. My leg started swelling up, and a few days later I started having increasing difficulty getting around. First I would get out of breath walking a couple of blocks to the convenience store, then a day later I was getting dizzy just getting up to use the bathroom. I finally called an ambulance and I spent the next week in hospital. I'd had a blood clot in my leg, it broke loose, and it put clots all over both lungs. They said if I'd gone to sleep, I'd never have woken up again. I'll be on blood thinners for the rest of my life, but it beats being dead. If your leg suddenly starts swelling, _don't_ ignore it.
That must've been scary! Glad you made it, despite having to be on medication. Sudden leg pain with no apparent reason (no injury), heat and swelling can be signs of a clot.
So glad you are okay. My wife died from that.
@@slythdreams I'm sorry to hear that. The only reason I knew something was very wrong is that I had a friend named Frank who died of a pulmonary embolism in his sleep in his 30s, and I had read about them as a result. When I told a nurse about that in emergency, she told me she didn't know what my religious beliefs are, but that she thinks Frank was looking out for me.
@@NoJusticeNoPeace Thank you so much for your kind words. I think Frank was really looking out for you. I really do believe that. Taking blood thinners the rest of your life totally beats the alternative.
I wish our American health system ran half so well as the NHS seems to....$2500-$6000 just for the ambulance being called out and that doesn’t even include so much as a bandaid. I’m very envious!
Or the compassion and help.
@CO my moms emergency trip was 4.7 miles....$5700. The O2, medications, and treatment she needed were another $4000. Then we got to the hospital. That particular 2 night visit was $26000 not including the Drs fees and medications. That was another $8000. Guess I’m in a highly billable spot....😶
The costs of healthcare here are out of control. Its nothing more than a business and many are suffering with the costs and their lives.Totally unacceptable!!!!
Actually the call is free. And a short rose in BLS can be under 1k, ALS is very expensive. At least in the states they rush you to the hospital, delaying care can kill.
Exactly why I won't visit the US. Get sick once and you're screwed for life ! Or if you have no coverage they will not help you ! I'll stay in Canada, thank you very much ! 🇨🇦✌️
This show is giving me some faith in humanity again. Bless paramedics and all they go through to help people.
A baby just freezing is one of the scariest things ever.. I knew something was wrong and was waiting for the paramedic to get up xD
it is 40 Celsius which is 104 Fahrenheit

i could never be an EMT i’m so empathetic i’d cry at every person lol
Thats my side job plan.
I would get super depressed after a while honestly I can't be on high emotions that long.
I think you get used to it after a while
Sometimes being empathic is helping a person do what has to be done at the time.
Cry baby 😭 lol want a 🍼
When he snapped his fingers and she didn’t react i started sobbing. My baby had covid and she was not responding and passing out on me. It was the scariest day of my life. I ran into the Er bawling and pleading with doctors.
I hope all is well.💜
It's amazing to me how cars don't pulled over to the side when there's an ambulance with Sirens in Canada we always pull to the side
We have the same issues here in the States. People who are not paying attention, listening to music too loudly, or just get frozen like a deer in the headlights. Its crazy!
Yeah ikr
Yeah!! Exactly!!! Imagine if a person needs CPR or is choking!

I'm in the US and it makes me giggle every time they someone has "fallen over". I just love everything about the English.💞 Beryl and hubby are just precious. So very lucky to have each other at their age.
Wait, I'm in Canada and IDGI... what do you call it in the US?
@@DR-po4ib In America: Someone "fell down" or ''collapsed." That's average American.
@@yes2day100 I never ever realized "fell/fall/fallen over" wasn't said in the US. So you only ever say "fallen down"? I'm going to have to listen for this in American TV shows now ;P
@@DR-po4ib Fell down, not fallen as in, 'OMG, grandma just fell down.' Or, 'He fell down the stairs.' We might say, "I've fallen, and I can't get up.' (Famous line from a US commercial which is kind of a joke now). In other words, we might say 'fallen' by itself, 'she has fallen', but we wouldn't use 'over' with it, normally. Although an object, such as a vase, we might say, "The vase fell over.' But America is a big place with a mixture of regional language quirks, so I'm sure there are some Americans who might say a person has 'fallen over.' It isn't something I've heard in California.
@@yes2day100 thanks for explaining... might seem silly but I'm interested in language quirks like that. In Canada you would hear fell down or fell over interchangeably. I never ever thought about it before.
... does this mean you don't use the phrase "fell over himself" like "He fell over himself to get to the cake"
Uf, that poor Mum watching her Son do that to himself ☹️
My son is a severe alcoholic and I had to just let him go. I will not feed him, house him, pay for his phone, buy him warm winter clothing when he finds himself homeless because he drank away all of his shelter money, or do anything else that puts extra money in his pocket to buy alcohol with. I fully expect to eventually find the police and the Coroner on my front porch knocking on my door early one morning, but knowing it's going to happen won't make it any easier when it does. I love how you went beyond for that elderly couple. You are wonderful people.
The husband of the elderly couple stroking her head had me smiling from cheek to cheek. So adorable.
I'm an American and all I kept thinking watching this episode is aren't the cars on road supposed to stop and pull over for an emergency vehicle? Here you have to get out of the way and stop. I saw cars turning out on the road in front of the ambulance. Scary.
Seriously, the number of times in these episodes the ambulances are actually cut off by vehicles is horrifying. I'm not saying it *never* happens here, but it really seems not to be so much a thing. Even the ones who don't cut them off just don't bother to pull to the side. Around here it's basically like it's choreographed, everybody makes way in a shockingly orderly fashion compared to how drivers usually behave ;)
Is it not illegal to fail to make any attempt at all to make way for ambulances over there?
I live in America too but here very few people actually pull over. I’ve seen Firetrucks in the city honking their horn well laying on it at a red light and no one would move til the light changed. The cops don’t care unless it’s them that they don’t move out of the way for and even then barley care depending on where you are. I’ve even had cops almost hit me with no sirens on because they didn’t want to stop at a cross walk and we’re speeding. Yet the county over everyone moves out of the way and cops will literally slam on their breaks if your waiting to cross and make you cross before they go since it’s law. It really depends on where you live on weather anyone moves over for emergency vehicles or not.
I'm a Type One diabetic, and that's literally terrifying. I'm always so scared I'm going to fall asleep, late at night my sugar will drop low, and I won't wake back up.

Hi. It might help to get an Eversense sensor for your blood glucose to alert you and make an alarm if you start to hypo.
You should get an alert dog
I really appreciate the paramedics being so gentle and kind to their patients calling them by their firstnames or calling them darling ...
My grandmother was in hypo and i was alone with her I was only 10 and didn't have any idea how to use a phone lesson teach your kids how to call hospital responsibly
Oh no I’m so sorry!
I’m so paranoid my mom made us get a landline in our home the Second we had a baby. She was like “ what it you or I or a sitter cannot find their phone??! In a panic what r they gonna do just go out in the street an yell?!”
So we have an old school rotary (will work if power is out!)
I teach l the kids now and its kind of a riot how they are mystified at first 😁 whew! Feeling ancient! At least they lived the learning.💕 cutie littles.
Yeah it only can pay off if kids know how to call for help if necessary. I remember one call from my active time as a volunteer firefighter where a 5 year old boy saw his grandma unconscious on the ground and after she didnt respond to him he instantly reacted took the phone and called help. He told what happened and his complete adress, even the right floor in the building. (It can be difficult to find out the right door when there are no names or something in a building with multiple apartments.) And he even opened the door for us so that we didnt had to break it open. This all saved his grandmas life.
Amazing ambulance personnel. Great work people.
These paramedics are a godsend. Not only do they help people, but they don’t judge. I suspect they are taught that, which is very hard to do sometimes. I was a volunteer with the Red Cross and the first thing they taught us was don’t judge. It’s hard at first, but then you learn how important it is to the patient as well as yourself. And it helped me feel better about myself.
All of these people, paramedics, police, everyone serving the public, we are blessed to have them.
My God the Lady who fell 😭 Had me crying.. I always feel so bad, for old people
Beryl and her husband are so adorable. Relationship goals 🥰
The poor baby I know with my daughter every emergency visit has been so scary and anxious for me
I understand the lady who said she’d rather deal with animals. When it comes down to it, though, I’m rather addicted to dealing with people - I work in child welfare. You learn so much about yourself, not to mention the people you work with. And watching a kiddo go home and learn they are safe there when they weren’t before - priceless. Everybody deserves a safe haven, especially when they are children.
that older couple was so sweet. 🥺
This show is so humbling and each and every paramedic here has so much compassion for their parents I admire them.

25:05 the paramedic in the back just casually petting the dog lol i can relate
This is something I've noticed a lot of people in the younger generations don't really understand...that headstrong attitude about going to the hospital for an injury or whatever. It was part of how they grew up, much of the time...you just get back up and continue on until you can't anymore, as detrimental as that can potentially be. Helping them feel comfortable going to hospital is truly an art form mixed with a lot of understanding.
Oh my heart poor sweet Beryl! such a lovely couple.
That's really unsettling to watch... when the baby stops reacting with her eyes wide open still. I'm amazed at how calm the parents were; even the medics were more antsy than usual. Its interesting; all the different ways that people display shock.
I wish doctors here in America were like this. These people make sure the patient is calm and ok and they are so kind and positive, here it’s as if they are angry and don’t care most of the time.
26:54 Bless em.. Now this is REAL TRUE L O V E... Both of them are elderly and still are taking care of each other... If I could find someone like this lady, in my age range of course, I consider myself a lucky man...
Poor Beryl, what a lovely old dear, such a sweet couple. Hope they're OK and getting some home assistance.
God bless all first responders who whole-heartedly help those in urgent situations. I could never deal with what they experience from life to death incidents.
Omg that elderly couple was so unbelievably precious. When he fixed her hair....ugh.....our current younger generation could learn so much from watching these couples who've been together for over 50 years bc they never left each other's side and you know they respected each other way more than younger people do now.....
They were beyond precious! I'm 36 and have been with my fiance and father of my 12 and 2 year old children for 15 years. We have definitely had MAJOR, MAJOR ups and downs and trust issues bc of it but we are still together bc we want to put in the work and love means doing that and going through the good and bad together!! Out of my 12 year old sons 6 good friends, he is the only one who still lives with both parents. It's so sad.
That couple just made me smile so hard and gave me faith that couples can make it through life and all the journeys we go through together!! 🥰🥰🥰

OMG...I was so tensed up when the 👶🏽 didn’t respond stimuli. And with that crazy high temp?? I was a sickly kid. I remember mommy let me stay in her bed cuz I was out of it. She and took my temp every 30-60 min. Last check it read 105.4. All I remember is her snatching me up and running into the bthrm & putting me in a cold bath. (Did I mention she was a nurse?) I’ll NEVER forget that. I remember screaming!! I wasn’t in there long tho. Just enuff to get temp under 103 for ambulance ride. I later learned why she freaked out. 105+ temps can lead to brain injury.
The diabetic episode really hit home for me. My boyfriend is type 1 diabetic and he had a binge drinking episode in January that landed him in the ICU. He got so drunk he couldn't administer his night time insulin properly and was out of test strips so I couldn't check what his blood sugar levels were. I stayed up all night anxiously watching over him. He was a lot worse in the morning. He threw up so much it burned his esophagus and caused him to vomit blood. He thought he was just hungover and I wasn't able to convince him to go to the ER until the early afternoon. Eventually he gave in and I drove him there. He had dangerously high blood sugar over 400 was already well into DKA. He ended up spending the night in the ICU. Since then I've had him show me how to check his blood sugar and measure and administer his insulin, and I always nag him to make sure he's properly stocked on blood sugar test strips. He still drinks, which is something I've been trying to convince him not to do, but he doesn't binge drink anymore. Alcohol and diabetes can be a dangerous mix and I'm glad this young woman didn't need hospital care like my boyfriend.
Yes, you can't mess around with diabetes. My best friend and her mom both have it. Her mom had a hypoglycemic attack when she was at home alone (she lived far away from her daughter in another city). She went into a coma and nearly died. She's got permanent brain damage, and it triggered her early onset of dementia. She lives with her daughter (my friend), now, and needs around the clock care to remind her to eat, check her sugar, and take her medications. She went from being more or less self-sufficient to being permanently disabled as a result.
I Love the NHS! Kisses ang hugs, and hand on my heart!
I can’t with the elderly couple!! My heart!!!
