Please agree the music is a no go. I had same problem with my 996......started after I was out on Sebring track for track day I had paid $500 for!!!! I took wife's car and bought a new battery...this lasted for the day. I researched the problem and decided to spring for a new Bosch alternator from Autohaus. I have downloaded a service manual but is a pain in the butt to locate anything. YOUR VIDEO IS AWSOME- but you did not need to remove the little third bolt on the alternator- it does not hold the alternator! Otherwise thank you so much for your help...but please get a DJ to help with the background music.
Awesome video. I had the battery/generator light on today and all of a sudden the voltage dropped from 14 to 11 on the gauge. I’m supposing it’s the regulator because the battery is new, got it 3 months ago, and the drop was quick, so may be the short contact in the regulator. It was very constructive for me man, thanks for sharing! 🤜🏼🤛🏼
Thanks for the video, it would have been helpful to hear if the voltage regulator actually fixed the problem. It wasn't clear in the video. Just constructive criticism, keep it up!

@Gary Pearce yes the music sucks...i did the whole thing on my phone...it was canned music...believe me the other stuff was way worse. I am glad that it helped though....take care enjoy the ride.

You should always disconnect the battery! when doing a job like this :o
Note the engine compt light isn't shinning.

How do you get tube that you forgot to disconnect in the video back on? It doesn't look like enough room to get your hands in.
Probably used the long pliers or medical forceps to replace gingerly.

These Bosch alternators are pretty solid. The little regulator is the Achilles heal
