First time hearing this version of As High and Paper Tigers. Both are better than album version for their novelty. As High was the first song that I liked from them, it holds a special place for me. It was out of the blue on Script.
As usual great music from this era of the band! Wasn't too crazy about Strange Times outside of a couple songs, and I didn't like the new album at all, but everything they before ST was great imo. These alternate versions are absolutely fascinating.
Vastly superior to the album version, which has a perplexingly muffled lead guitar sound that renders it a bit impotent. You hear the difference live as well.
Wow this version of Pleasure and Pain is so good! Can't decide which I like more, but it's definitely good.
