I get asked this all the time. I’m an NHS Biomedical scientist and work in medical microbiology. The role of the biomedical scientist is to support the doctor in investigating the cause of disease . I chose biomedical science over medicine because I’m soft and I know that I’d cry a lot over tough patient cases.
Fun fact, Most biomedical sciences degrees at top universities aren't accredited so you can't go straight into biomed after uni, this is because they expect most graduates to go and do their doctorate.
I wanna do medicine but the teachers predicted me Abb, and I've already asked them to put them up and stuff, so I'm gonna put biomed on my ucas application and just work really hard to get 3 As and apply thru clearing. If not I'll do biomed and then GEM or maybe go abroad, but I'm a bit unsure for funding
Hello, I'm Jay and currently studying in grade 12. Can you please make a video on pharmaceutical science vs biomedical science. Careers, opportunities, scope, which is better for long term and differences
Hello, currently a pharmacy student here. Pharmaceutical sciences is focused 90% on drugs. You will learn pretty basic fysiology and biology at the start, but the remaining consists of organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, how the body abosrbs and intereacts with drugs, the physiological effects of the drug on the body and also how drugs are formulated and made.

Omg this is exactly me. I was thinking of medicine, but honestly, I'm too emotional.
Loved how unbiased this was.

Hii, does anyone know the difference between medical bioscience and biomedical science (if there is one?)
is your medicine degree still 5 years or has it shortened since you have already done biomed?
I think u have a choice to do either undergrad med which is 5 years after biomed or postgrad med which is 4 years after biomed
Medicine integrated from Biomedical sciences.Biotechnology improved medicine
thank you!! very informative
Great one. Keep it up
