Glad to see another one my friend, keep it up! Your exhaust set up sounds great car overall looks fantastic it is a timeless design. Glad you kept it classy, enjoy that car. Can't wait to see you get bigger doing this
I did the gas pedal mod after this but I did it by removing the spring all together. I also added a little padding behind the gas pedal to avoid over extension and hurting the throttle body
@@TheShakir98 I like it much better. Easier modulation of gas pedal to actual throttle position and very important for manual for shifting purposes. I assume you would like a more direct correlation of your foot position to the throttle body plate than having a spring in between
Love the tail lights, keep them. Car looks great. You don't need to do much to a is300 to look good. I'll have to look into the peddle trick. Thay have a auto trans valve body upgrade. That mod has completely changed the drive. Much more responsive. You will like it. Two ways of shimming the VB accumulators. Have any question just ask. I'd love to hear more about the accelerator peddle trick. Take care.
Keep up the content Alex, love to see it. I have literally zero interest in cars but I'm still watching your new videos because its you haha. I like the long hair too!
(2 years late I know) But I feel a happy medium for the taillights is to remove the chrome on the backing. That way you get the famous Altezza clear lense aesthetic without blinding any poor old ladies who happen to get behind you at just that right angle at just that right time of day to go totally blind. Red tails do look good though!
Awesome video, and clean very is300. I own a millennium silver metallic 2004 auto is300, and I purchased it with 123k 2 years ago and am now at 147k. It is my daily driver and my other car is a modded Subaru wrx. I honestly decided that I want to keep my is as close to stock as possible. The only "mods" I have done are: a JVC Bluetooth doubledin touchscreen headhunt, 20% window tint, a shorty antenna, HKS air filter, JDM squash air fresheners, and 5mm wheel spacers in the rear. I have done a ton of maintenance and have even replaced my front struts with kyb excel g's. Also, I have 2 new rear kyb excel g's, a set of Teen H tech lowering springs, and Moog front lower ball joints that all still needs to be installed. I believe that might be the extent of the mods that I plan on doing. But I must say the is300 makes an outstanding daily driver! Oh and I had already planned on doing 15mm bolt on spacer in the front and 20mm in the rear once my lowering springs are installed so it was really cool to see that you did exactly that and I actually go to see what I have been envisioning! Keep up the is300 content!
Exact same sentiment! Also why I kept with the stock wheels. Only other things I’d do to my car are sway bars and factory lip kit. Other than that, maintenance. I’ll be reviewing a g70 2.0t next week also
Hi again, so you said you like to drive feel the car and the road with a Auto trans. I want to say it again. Is300 auto trans has a valve on the valve body that you simply click over for high pressure "line pressure"VB stage 1, then pull the valve body put rods or nickels behind the accumulators and add a trans cooler VB stage 2. Then I run ams-oil no slip racing type-F ATF VB stage 2+. You can do all that for real cheap without pulling the trans. Completely changes the car. You can also do each one with having to do the others. I have been running this for year no problems. Message for questions or UA-cam it.
you posted that in my birthday , in month while i bought IS 200 , soo ill probably use that one with adding red layer to lamps (: ill see rest of video and think what i can also add ;P
i recomend rear & front main seals and its about the age where people should do valve seals and the little evap leak prone parts, next is bushings for subframes front and rear then doing cosmetics way worth it in the end
Since I don’t have room for a sub box I’m gonna have to upgrade my rear deck lid speakers... also I blew one of them😅but interior LED strips set the interior off
Try turning your bass speakers around towards the front it gives it an internal sound better quality Bass better better easier to tune if you have an adjustable type amplifier
Fellow IS300 owner here. You should look into swapping out your steering wheel for a XE20 (2nd gen IS) steering wheel so you have paddle shifters instead of the janky buttons. The swap swap is pretty easy to do and makes manual shift mode more intuitive to use.
Muffler delete is not straight pipe.. it's a muffler delete.. straight pipe is when there's no resonators mufflers and/or catalytic converters, but you can still be straight piped with a cat, altho technically straight pipe is open from the headers back. red tail lamps are much better than the stock, that'd be one of my first 'mods' too for this car. i don't like the chrome grill myself.. i like the black mesh with the altezza badge off to the side. clean car tho man I'm looking forward to getting mine. lost my ST Focus from hurricane Ian, so figure I'll try out a 2jz na-t setup
Project is300 fell into my lap so im game for these vids! I like the altezza i feel look better only because the is300 is the OG. The exhaust sounds great! Do you have a link to the springs/struts you used?
I had red led tails but went back to stock but it matches my silver so looks good to me. Nice build its super clean! Love the stock wheels that color too
Enjoyed your videos man, and I love the car :), we have a 03 manual and its just been a blast totally bone stock, perfect ballance great power to weight especially with the manual.. Anyway You mentioned in here how you fixed your sticky dash and said theres a video? I got sick of it 3 years ago and coverd it with cloth tape but Im looking for a better fix... Also curious if youve had the issue with the check engine trac off light flashing? I saw years back on a forum this is a common issue. Ours is doing it I know theres nothing wrong with the engine, Im curious if has happened to you and if so what did you do?
I used some stuff off stickydashfix.com for the 2nd gen IS, I stopped making car videos though so didn't get around to making a video about it. Never had an issue with trac off light flashing, just had a CEL for evap for like 5 years lol. Had another one for an 02 sensor but got that fixed a while back, now just the evap that i believe is some canister by the gas tank that's a total pain to fix. I also have a 2003 GS430 now.

Do you have a video on the zip tie for the gas pedal.?

Big brakes kit
suspensions
larger wheels

Is there a website where I can get the same muffler / exhaust as you?
what is the exact paint for the wheels
Unfortunately I don't know! I know it's a type of bronze with a lot of metallic flake though.
Hey man great video. Can you give some links to your exhaust setup? It sounds very good and I may try to do the same.

What does the throttle mod do? Give your feet vibrations??
what feet? nah but yeah it does and it makes it more instant when you press down the pedal. there’s less buffer
Nice ur from Missouri. I live near KCMO
Hey can you give me information about the rims paint color or code
Unfortunately not really other than i think it was something like “galaxy bronze” but it might’ve been fully custom 🤷♂️ bought them like that.
Hey do you have the exact part number of the magnaflow?
No sorry. I bought someone’s existing straight pipe setup. Was already all welded up.
honestly I dont care that this car is the one that started the trend I think clear tail lights are ugly and the red vinyl looks way better

eBay!
link to magnaflow tip?
i bought it used so i have no clue! sorry.
