@@alderwield9636 the fact I think this game is easy doesn’t mean I’m tough. It just means compared to other monster hunters, even the hardest quests in this game are not hard.

@athos9293 i think for this particular topic, the meaning of moveset we're using is... moveset = a combination of different motion that is done in an orderly succession.
Damn insane props on beating him cartless and my god dude! Its insane to see your beginnings in world with Switch axe to now the elegant and graceful dodges you were having there. You are hands down a top of the line SA user and dont let someone tell you otherwise.
Aside from the fact you might be excited seeing PrimeZeno vs Velkhana turf war, the point you make about your 4U chargeblade skills transferring is one of the beauties in monster hunter: it's like an inheritance from old times, you're familiar with it while also facing new challenges, like fighting a new enemy with your trusty partner after so long and so much has happened
Hunting Primordial Malzeno using Old School DB playstyle (No demon flight, just a ton of evade skills) feels AMAZING. Demon Dash timing is amazing with dodging through its wing slashes. I also love that his weakpoints are in reach with DBs reach lol. The fight reminds me of old Nargacuga hunts (my favorite monster). They both like to Jump/Teleport off screen and attack with specific timing that one can internalize to just dodge. Both of their Wing attacks also feel good to dodge through. And finally I LOVE how it looks in ALL its phases! Really feel like this monster is the best way to close off MHRiseBreak
I played charge blade mostly on my PS5 playthrough of sunbreak compared to my switch playthrough which was mostly glaive, sns and bow with others mixed in. Air Dash is such an abusable skill when combined with Condensed Spinning Slash. 1 it recharges your wirebug use super fast so you can keep using only that move if you wanted, 2 during the first part of the rising slashes and until after the first hit is over, you have hyper armor against 90% of attacks so with high defenses and immunity to stun, you can take a hit from an afflicted monster and get your health back almost fully with bloodblight in most cases, and 3 the hyper armor frames get extended further if you hold down the attack button during the skill with the pizza cutter making it even more abusable
My first fight, I went in with lance and that first moment where I went guard advance into leaping thrust and then he did the same thing to me, I realized I was fighting a mirror match. Was very fun.
The Hazard version of Primordial Malzeno doesn't appear to have any new attacks, or at least I didn't see any attacks that it didn't use in my 20+ runs of the regular quest while farming for Bloodstones. As far as I can tell, it just has higher stats and a higher damage threshold to knock it out of its afflicted state, and you don't get breathers when it changes areas because there is only one area. For the attack where it makes a circle of Qurio energy, you're actually safe from the Qurio portion of the attack if you stay inside the circle, as the projectiles only shoot outward from the circle. The only thing you have to worry about when you're inside the circle is the wing strike from Malzeno itself.
“He’s just a regular looking dragon” ??? He’s still a reference to the Dracula legend. Vlad was a crusader before he became a vampire. Did the sword and shield wings not tip you off? Nor the regal white and blue colouration of a paladin?
During anomaly grinding, I try couple of weapon to avoid burnout. So I try sns, switch axe, GS, lbg, hbg, bow, hh, gl and cb, create their meta weapon and set. Learn and have fun again. However I still go back to my main which is the lance.
I triple carted malzeno first time, lance then double carted but that's cos that time i was first trying long sword, then cobbled together a lance set once i died. Ah, it was exhilarating, i came in with bloodlust, as i always, do, and i distinctly remember one thought in the exact words "man, f the frenzy i wanna live!" And jumping off into the ravine below the castle when it was in the final phase, i have done absolutely so much running away in this fight, it really is intense, i love it.
I found this fight to be super hard and i could only kill him on my 2nd try. After the fight I realized that I had -14 dragon element résistance and that's why I was almost one shot by a lot of moves
Im also debating what I'll be doing in MH6: Truly depends on if gunlance can be as good feeling as the full blast build we have now 😂 if not, I'll be joining the switch axe ranks!
@@alderwield9636 there's a good chance it wont have it, because most likely the next game is going to tone down the insane mobility we got in Rise. But who knows, anything is possible.

P. Malzeno was pretty disappointing for me. Most moves that the normal Malzeno didn't have didn't make the fight more fun and the fight got pretty boring after a few minutes. Only the last phase fealt unique and fresh for me. Amatsu is my favorite monster in Sunbreak.

5:53 those dodges were frickin incredible 🔥
Rather than a SNS, P.Malzeno is a Lance user. The shield wing bash to a tail poke is already a Lance moveset. 😂
Yes yes lol
Doesn't "moveset" mean the entirety of *moves* a monster can use? Like, "Nargacuga's moveset contains moves such as side hops and a tail slam"

evade distance up and playig defensively in phase 3 really saved me

Arisen Teostra and Arisen Crimson Valstrax? Someone's playing a little bit too much Dragon's Dogma lately, huh? xD

phase 3 is great in my opinion and reminds me of the intensity of AT nergigante, but I hate how it actually rewards you for running away
Malzeno is probably my least favorite flagship throughout the series, so I have no motivation to hunt primordial even though everyone is praising it.
