It all comes down to personal preference. I have the round ones and the minis and the finger ones and the brushes (from Amazon). It all depends on the image you are creating and what is comfortable. That’s why we have so many options. What works great for one may not be so great for another. It’s like hair color. Can you imagine if all hair color was the same! 😱 yikes! Lol.. anywho.. great video as always! Thanks Simon🤗
Enjoyed the initial video and this one does provide some nice explanations/enhancements to it. Thanks for spending double time with us all on this subject.
Your videos are always sooo helpful! I’m sorry that you’ve had to deal with rude comments. Personally I’ve enjoyed every one of your videos that I’ve watched. Thanks for sharing your knowledge!
I thought your other video was very good and nothing to complain about! I think that blending brushes and blending tools each have their own purpose! I agree that if you want a softer blend the blending brushes are the way to go. However, I do believe that your inks blend much better (and more vibrantly) with the blending tools. I have both types and use both for different looks! Thanks for doing this video, it was equally as good as your first one!
Thank You for Your Amazing Tutorials! I just received some of your stencils (some are back ordered). I cant wait to play! Have a great night, and stay safe!
Thanks for always sharing great tips. I'm a newer crafter and enjoy your videos and 'hacks'. Your effervescent personality is a welcome at the end of a stressful day.
Great comparison Simon! Loved watching you use your scene builder stencil. I have used my stencil a few times & need more practice so that I don't mix sun & sky colors so that I have a green sun or clouds. I'll try the small blending brushes. I'd love to see you use your flower builder stencil. I have watched your initial video for that but dont like the way they come out. Perhaps it's my color choices. Thx for the video!
TY TY for redoing the video. I love the difference with the foam vs bristle. Reminds me of the old Pep Boys song West Ende Girls with the lyrics "Which do you choose aguillotine
I have all the pads now and I like the blending sticks. I bought the Picket Fence brushes at a show last year and like them , just takes some getting used to.
You seriously brighten my day like guppy ink with your videos! With the new pastel TE brushes heading to my house I am super excited to see your blending video today!
I love how you started your video with, “Hello EVERYONE” instead of dudes and dudettes!! I really hate being called a dudette. Thank you for this blending tool update. Super helpful. ❤️
hi simon, you make it look sooo easy, I watched this and then there was no place to comment so I went to the hd video to leave the comment Liked your stenciled scene and thebrushes etc!!! I have all your inks ,love them
I found a new makeup blending brush on Aliexpress. It's got a flat brush head, has a small knob on the back and comes in a holder. Any one with arthritis its amazing it just sits between 2 fingers. As for its blending......... gorgeous, and on a side note I'm awful at blending
I bought the little double sided wooden ones because I saw you using them. I really enjoy them and the control they give. BTW, I own your shell maker stencil -- so great!
Thank you Simon, thought that you came across really well and explained it all, has opened my eyes to trying your methods. I'm new to a lot of crafting items. 🙄
Interesting comparison and helpful indeed. But I don't care much about buying extra brushes for blending, as I am not doing fine blending, just some sky or grass on cards from time to time.
Thanks Dude 😎 I like the Ranger mini brushes that you showed, I need them. I do have & like the Ranger foam ink blenders .. I did see that Scrapbook.com is coming out with (or just launched 🤔) a Foam Blender Tool like the TH from Ranger, but with a domed foam bottom (say that 10 times 😂) instead of flat. So I’m curious to know if they are necessary in addition to the TH blender tool. If so, what are the significant differences in their use and/or performance? I do hope that made sense 😛 TIA for your expertise! Stay safe everyone 😷 and please do not forget to VOTE!

Seriously why would someone complain about a used blender...very well done video again Dude
Thanks for the update. People who complain have too much time on their hands. I thought your first comparison was great and so is this one!
I think each tool has its purpose. Personal preference. I dont think it matters if it is clean or pre inked. Great video Simon.
Totally agree!!

Agreed! It’s all personal preference
Thanks from someone new to ink blending. I have bought both types but wasn't sure how they were different. This clears up a lot.
Yay! Glad it helped!
I’m new to blending, and I always wondered what those tiny blending sticky thing were for! Now I get it. And Simon, you’re adorable!
Enjoyed the initial video and this one does provide some nice explanations/enhancements to it. Thanks for spending double time with us all on this subject.
Thank you so much, Simon. I really enjoyed your comparison and demonstration. I always seem to need it for ink blending!
Great addition to your previous video! I've been on the fence about brushes

I love the tiny blending tools. They’ve been my go to for years.
PS....I just ordered your set of ink. Seems they are the way to go with blending.
Thanks Simon. Very helpful video. I have never seen the little wooden blenders. They do look great for small areas.
Thanks for always sharing great tips. I'm a newer crafter and enjoy your videos and 'hacks'. Your effervescent personality is a welcome at the end of a stressful day.
Yay! Glad you enjoy the videos after stressful days. :)

1st time I've ever seen the tiny pencil like blenders. Will have to get some & try them out. Thanks for sharing

Thanks for the comparison! I learned a lot. I use small blending brushes. I am going to get some mini blending brushes.
I have all the pads now and I like the blending sticks. I bought the Picket Fence brushes at a show last year and like them , just takes some getting used to.
I use both the blending brushes and tools, depending on what I'm doing. Great informative video, thank you.

What do you have on your table that makes cleaning the ink off so easy? Love everything I have ever seen you do. They have all been so incredible.

Thanks so much Georgina. Hugs! :)
Thank you 😊 I like your tips on the ink blending tools. I happen to love my finger daubers.
Me, too!
TFS. Like that scene maker stencil!
Love this one, I still use the little finger blending sponge. I have no clue on blending lol.
Thanks for the reviews and tips, Simon they are always appreciated! I think I need some mini blending sponges now! :D
I was wondering what the other blending brushes were like thank you for showing me

This was so helpful, thank you!
Thanks so much for your time, great video tutorial!!♥️
Nice comparison Simon. Thanks
Interesting comparison and helpful indeed. But I don't care much about buying extra brushes for blending, as I am not doing fine blending, just some sky or grass on cards from time to time.
When I blend with the tim holtz blending tool I get uneven circles, no matter how much I blend, how do I not get those circles.

Thank you for sharing your videos
Thank you... always helpful
Great tutorial, thank you
Can we buy Simon Hurley products in England?
The dictionary says ‘blend’ is to mix two or more things together. I wonder what it’s called when you are only using one color?
Thought this was very informative!!!
Thanks Simon !
Again the first one to comment!!🤣
Yay!!
Can we buy Simon Hurley products in England?
Yes they sell them here in England.
