Brilliant! I'm pleasantly surprised they let him speak freely when a lot of it wasn't what they wanted to hear.

Martin Wolf is very respected in the west as well as in China. About the Chinese economy his points are very much in line with Michael Pettis'. But from none of them I hear concretely how China should stimulate consumption, apart from "peopel should go out and enjoy life" (Wolf) and "Chines local governments should redistribute income" (Pettis). I'd love to hear how to achieve these? And what is the Chinese government doing to this end?
