I bought my dream car a new Mercedes S450 on 16th October 2022 in Saudi Arabia. On 24th November it rained heavily in the city of Jeddah which lead to high water level in some areas including the parking lot at work where I parked the car. I came back to take my care later. To my surprise I found water inside the passenger cabin, Surprise turned into shock when Mercedes Jeddah agent work-shop reported that they need SAR 593k (USD 158K) To repair it. Which means that after driving my dream Mercedes for only 1200km in 5 weeks, I need to pay 80% of purchased price for maintenance due to a rain fall !!!
I just can’t believe it ! I bought a Mercedes S Class for gods sake, not a Chinese car. In the videos of the commercial, S class is ploughing through a snow covered rood with a message said “ S 450 4MATIC permanent for all season” that is an impressive video gave me even more confidence in tacking the decision to buy this car.
The situation that I’m in indicates that it is not a car for every season at least not winter rain.
Sirs, I know that I didn’t buy a submarine, I bought a car. However, I bought S450 4matic, a high end car which I expect it to out perform the Toyota Corolla that parked next to my car (same weather), and all my colleague had to do was to start his Corolla (worked on first touch) and drive it to the car wash place. I'm deeply sorry for your loss, if your car insurance is still active, please contact the insurance company and explain exactly what happened, hopefully they'll help you out. But just in case, if they didn't provide any support whatsoever, you'll have no choice but to head for the police station and tell them everything. I hope this solution helps.
