This is so amazing to watch. Seeing a master class chef being so astounded by the quality of the food, and the being surprised by the flavours of meats he has tried thousands of times in his life, is just incredible. and on top of that, he still tries to experiment on his own, while trying these out. It shows his expertise, when he can just tell that the soup would work well together with the soju. And he is so excited to share his creations with the other chef as well.
This might have been my favourite episode of the series so far.
The Chef trying the "new" combination of the soup and soju was my single favorite part of this. That made me giddy.
I literally could not stop smiling ear to ear while watching. Seeing Josh have a food ecstasy is nothing new, but seeing Mr. Z showing such a pure, euphoric reaction just brings such joy. And let’s not understate just how much that also means this restaurant’s food was just god tier. I don’t know when I’ll ever visit Korea again, but this place has just became a bucket list restaurant.

It really puts into perspective how he’s not just an Italian snob. He is very critical of cheap American food, not because he’s judgmental, but because he is truly an expert of flavor.

Here is the thing, probably I will never get there, but seeing MrZ, Josh and Luke enjoying eating in this restaurant gives me so much joy! It's like living vicariously through the experience you're showing and looks soooooooo good. Thank you Korean Englishman team for this.

Mr Z just made the restaurant a new recipe for the whole Korean to tastes. He came for tasty food but made a freaking new recipe.
It's going to be a legendary thing that they put on the menu.
And they're going to have to tell the story about how this one time this world famous Italian chef just wanders in, randomly slapped it together, and it was amazing.

I rarely eat pork, never liked it.. went to jeju and tried the black pig pork... I never had so much pork in my life. It was absolutely amazing. I can't even explain how delicious it was. Hopefully, I will go back one day.

i remember being in jeju on holiday, walking into a random kbbq restaurant and ordering black pork. it wasn't even a super fancy cut, just samgyepsal. it was the BEST pork i had in my life. amazing. been thinking about it ever since.

👏👏This has got to be the best crescendo video ever of this series with chef Z so far! I love the way chef Z gives us his description of what he is tasting and my mouth is watering, Josh on the other hand is having his mind blown and Luke, you're a lucky man to be there as camera man! It would be nice to see Chef Z try some of that Korean Fried chicken others have claimed it makes them become emotional because it was that good, just like in those other videos, they made about it. I would love to see chef Z's take on that.
Premium cuts. But time after time it’s the personal attention, per cut that chef builds for them. Magnificent. He literally builds every bite for them, effortlessly I might add. CHEF’S KISS.

2주 전에 신혼여행 갔다가 숙성도에서 삼겹살 먹어봤는데 진짜 저 리액션이 진심이라는걸 알 수 있어요! 진짜 제 인생 넘버원 삼겹살이었어요! 36년 동안 먹어본 최고의 한 점이었어요!
Went last year for a month to Korea and spent the time mostly eating one of the best foods worldwide 🥰 the jeju black pork with abalone on grill was great!! Mouthwatering!

Ok, you really need to get Mr Z on many more of your episodes. He really adds so much gusto and passion for food. He is so expressive even without saying a word.
Recently, I travelled Jeju island with my families and visited Sugseongdo in Jeju city twice during single trip. Amazing restaurant and literally it's one of best black pork place I've ever been.
And this restaurant is already too famous to just drop by. You need to queue when they open for lunch or dinner.
Have good trip Mr.Z and Koream Englishman team.

Playing "Pomp and Circumstance" once you could properly see the dry aging pork was absolutely brilliant. Playing perhaps the most British piece ever while seeing an eminently Korean thing is so "Korean Englishman". Beautiful.

I just got back from Jeju and I ate here…. TWICE in 3 days.
Went to their outlets at Hamdeok and Wonnohyeong.
We managed to get their limited cuts and officially ate every cut available over the 2 days.
Mind blown. Stomach happy.
Never going to eat pork anywhere else again.

Also love how they integrated the chef - I would like to see maybe more of the chefs answering some questions, because it was so cool when he mixed the Soju with the cold noodle broth, and actually liked it .

I can see a new slew of experiments when Mr. Z gets home on dry aging pork with different cuts and times. Maybe branching off to other types of meat like lamb or venison. The crescendo keeps going up and up, it's wild to think this all started with a sandwich, a crazy glorious extreme sandwich but still a sandwich.

I went to the northern branch in Jeju last month, and it's really as wonderful as everything they have described. Though I don't think I've had the 2nd and 3rd options as they ran out. Total 7 cuts offered, 6 of us ate 12 portions (1 cut per portion) total, with about 2 bottles of soju, 3 bottles of beer and 2 bottles of berry liquor - and the damage was only about 65 USD (86 SGD) per person. They provide lettuce as well to make ssam, which I also highly recommend eating the cuts of pork with. Would definitely head there again in the future.
This is a fantastic series with the one and only Mr. Z, however, the videos seem so rushed. I don't know, maybe it's me just wanting more! 😊👏👏👏👏
