Thank you Sylvia - I spent many weeks / months of my childhood looking at the Niesen - from every angle! - but never went up it, I didn’t even know there was a cable car! I suspect it was very expensive so my parents kept it a secret 😂. Loved the Milky Way shot too.

Wow, the pyramid in the Swiss Alps, Niesen, looks absolutely stunning! Switzerland is one of my favorite countries in the world, and I've visited many times. The views from the top are breathtaking, and your video captures the experience beautifully. Taking the funicular up and seeing the sunset and sunrise must have been incredible. Nun, diese Höhe geht für mich gut um zu schlafen aber so ab 3000 Metern merke ich die Höhe schon auch. Man muss einfach viel trinken, dann geht das schon 😃
Dogs are allowed on the train, but if you want to walk down to one of the 2? middle stations, notice there are no creeks down the path especially in Sommer! So bring some water!
I found this explenation: Niesen: The funny name of the mountain has nothing to do with cold symptoms. "Niesen" is a variation of the name "Yesen" - this is what the mountain used to be called, after the Swiss name for the yellow gentian (Gentiana Lutea), which is very common in the Bernese Oberland and on Mount Niesen.

"Niesen" means "Sneeze". Why such a name? Do people sneeze a lot when the reach the summit of Niesen?
My guess is because almost always there's a little cloud right at the top that looks like the mountain has just sneezed ...
