Who would have thought a fungus would be one of or the most expensive food in the world , where I live I don't think we have these but we do have morrels in the spring , the old timers call them " dry land fish" why I don't know , but they are delicious, the bad thing is there is only a short period of time to gather them in the spring , its my opinion that these different fungus genomes, could be the answer to the world ailments ,i.e diseases. They were put here for a reason , I love nature and what it provides us , thanks for sharing this great video
I've been so busy lately, I'm actually taking a month off from work. I finally had time to watch this. Happy to see your having success. I figured Betty would have success if any simply because she covers so much ground. I'm aware Europe is dealing with a heat wave. My family is on holiday in Spain currently and I'm concerned a bit about the forest fires. I'm hoping and planning on having my first video out by next week. And I mean it when I say I like the grill you were using. Live fire is almost a lost art here in the USA. I'll be showing some of that before and after our fire season here. But the first video will be a simple introduction for folks on grilling a steak on a Webber grill. Don't laugh to hard when it comes out. You know I will mess up the first few episodes. Anyway great to see you and I hope the season picks up for you. 😁👍🧆🍷
Hey there Victor. I am looking forward to watching your video as I know you are going to have plenty of useful tips to pass on. These heatwaves in Europe are devastating on so many levels, but I am sure your family will be ok as long as they have their wits about them. I am glad you were impressed by our grill - it's basic but it does the job. And it is an interesting gastronomic experience to eat truffle burgers in the woods where you have found said truffles, cooked on the wood of the trees they grow beneath. See you soon!
@@TheRealTruffleHunters I was just about to get to bed when this popped up. Yuppers I like your grill. I'm not just a outdoorsman but a Eagle Scout. So cooking outdoors comes naturally to me and I enjoy watching others cooking that way. That said I have many ( probably to many) outdoor cookers. I recently purchased 3 webber kettle grills in addition to the one I already had. Why so many? Well the colors of the recent ones are a Red one. A White one and a Blue one. It's a fun patriotic thing. It will make filming fun and the bbq channels I know love the idea. Plus I will be doing multiple grills occasionally at the same time. Eventually you will see me get very creative on my cooks. FYI, my largest smoker weighs 1,200 lbs. She's a big girl I use for my catering business. I'll show that someday. Anyway time for bed. Hamburgers with truffles, gonna be hard falling to sleep thinking about those.
Get on maps and start with forests in the correct altitude, places which get sunlight but can also retain water. Then you need to look at pH, how closely packed the trees are and some of the other details covered in the video
Nice vid, cute doggy. Just, the burgers...I don't like to give unsolicited advice but ....your burgers could be so much better if you cooked them in a pan. No oil, and definitely never squish the burger down through the grate. I know it looks good, kinda like some fast food painted stripes, but you actually don't want that. Leads only to dry burgers that are more akin to hockey pucks. Only salt and pepper prep, and a pan so the burger retains the juices. Pro tip.
You are so right , those burgers are a disgrace. Far worse is some rice I made in another outdoor video - that's a real shocker. Tips much appreciated 👍
I can tell you were a SMOKE SHOW back in the day. Still are. Love the video.
Our girl is 🔥🔥🔥
Yo still is.
Even the pup gets a truffle burger!
It's only fair!
Feeeed meeee. I did all the wooork🐶
What are good trees to look for ❤
Great question, this will depend on the country you are hunting in and the species you are looking for.
@TheRealTruffleHunters I'm in SW America. My daughter finds white truffles under Oak trees in her neighborhood. That's all I know about here

And thank you for taking the time to reply. You are right there is so much potential and so much more to discover about these fascinating fungi

What was that music in the beginning? Sounded like a song from Lagaan.
I am going to check the name and get back to you!
You and your dog are so cute ❤️🐻
Thanks Natali!❤
Liked+subd. How bad are ticks out there though? Central coast California is terrible
Bad enough that you check every time you come home, yourself, the dogs, your clothes...they are a real pain most months of the year!
What do you look for on Google? For potential areas

I thought you said never to wash your truffles, or is that only if you're going to sell them?
You should only wash immediately before eating
