  • The Himalaya BS4 EFI was not that different to the previous version (Carburettor) few cosmetic changes such as blackened brackets, triple tree, cover, side stand censor etc and did compliment the motorcycle. Hope you all like the video and stay tuned for all upcoming vlogs till then have a great weekend

Good morning, Sir. Big fan. I'm a newbie and have little or no experience of geared motorcycles. I've used scooties, that too sparingly. I'm on the look out for my first bike and have narrowed it down to Bullet Electra 350 and The Himalayan EFI BS4. Given by your reviews, I'm 90% sure I'll get the Himalayan as I commute more or less 80-90 kms daily. I love to travel and i'd love to use my machine for inter-state rides in the future and maybe some off-roading too, once I get more experienced.
My question is that does the lack of ABS affect the performance of The Himalayan and should I wait for RE to launch an ABS version of the same as the Transport Ministry has directed manufacturers to install ABS in all vehicles from April 2018 onwards?
Sorry for the long post. I hope you understand a first-timer's dilemma. Love your informative style, Sir. Keep riding. 🤘

Thank you for the informative review. I really appreciate it. I have booked himalayan bs4 with ABS one. Totally understood this machine well in advance.. BiG big thumps up for you. Enjoy
Just 1 question, I hope I am the 1st one to ask you for it.

    1. Are RE still selling BS3 version overseas?
    2. Is ignition issue in BS3/BS4 resolved?
    3. Can I expect reliability and durability from this bike to pass it to generations to come?
    4. What would be the maintenance and operational cost for a rider who tour once or twice in a year?
    5. Would you suggest this for home-office-home purpose (traveling 20-30 km daily)?

Nice to hear a positive review on the bike after a very long time Mr. Raj. I reside in Bangalore and own a 1984 standard. I am a travel passionate and am since a long time inclined to go for this new breed of RE. I have been searching for a review on the comfort to ride being a short rider. I am 5.6' and wonder if this bike is too tall for me. Please help me get this doubt clarified. looking forward for your reply.

yes, there is a system called tube bliss which acts as a 360 degree rim lock allows tubeless tires and able to ride normally on completely flat tire available from Rocky Mountain ATV

    Dear Raj,
A question!!! I'm an owner of Classic 350 for the last 3years and I've done close to 30,000kms. But as I'm 6ft1', I'm feeling back and shoulder pain due to the ergonomics of the bike; May I upgrade to Himalayan in the perspective of comfort? Another question, how different is the fuel economy of Himalayan compared to Classic 350? Thank You Raj.

In the year 2018 having a bike without ABS is a crime. RE never think or give any importance to their customers regarding safety, build quality, comfort and convenience. They are only busy in selling without any service quality. They treat othe markets differently than India. In today's scenario Himalayan is available in UK only with ABS and good build quality without any extra price compare to the BS3 version. RE treats Indians as fools and they know how to convert indian emotions into revenue. RE don't bother about customer feedback in india. RE the luckiest bike manufacturer in the world. Wish you earn more by doing or caring for nothing. A simple tubeless tyre may be the long waiting dream for poor Indian rider but RE should get all the bells and whistles in their bank accounts and crown.

BEING A MECHANICAL MAINTENANCE ENGINEER BY CHOICE & TRUE BLUE - RED BIKER MYSELF , I WOULD LIKE TO SHARED MY VIEWPOINTS DUDE....
1 . CDI FEATURED , (TPS ) CARBS R OLD SCHOOL PURELY MECHANICAL , LONGIBLE , EASY TO MAINTAIN & NO NEED FOR ROAD SIDE ASSISTANCE SECURITIES LIKE MODERN ADVANTAGE EFI M/C , ANY1 CAN FIXED IT EASILY & NO NEED A LAPTOP TO DIAGNOSIS THE WHOLE PARAMETER CHECKUP .....
D ONLY DOWNSIDE OF CARB IS EVAPORATED WHOFT OF UNBURNT GASES INTO OUR MOTHER EARTH WHICH EFI CAN'T MEANS LITTLE BIT OF ENVIRONMENT FRIENDLY BUT FULLY ECU CONTROLLED EFI CAUSES SERIOUSLY HIGHER SIDE OF MAINTENANCE , CHECK PUMP PRIMING , WORKING , INJECTOR NOZZLE CLEANING EVERY 5 TO 6K KMS ,NEED A SKILLED TECHNICIAN BECAUSE THERE R SO MUCH GOING INSIDE , ACTUATORS , TRANSDEUSORS , FUEL FILTER , ALSO NEED FOR BETTER FUEL STATIONS & A LITTLE BIT OF OCTANE FUEL .....
RIDE SAFE , ALWAYS WEAR PROPER GEARS ....

I enjoyed a test ride on a Himalayan here in the UK , it's a great bike for the price very comfortable I'm very tempted to buy one , However I can't understand why when Royal Endfeild designed the engine they didn't make it a 500cc it would have made it a better riding experience . I also whish the UK Himalayan came with Speedo with bigger mph and smaller kph number , I can't see the mph number .

I have planned buying a RE and from past few days I have watched over 200 videos about Himalayan, classic, TB , standard and I'm totally confused on which one to buy and also about 350 & 500 which one to go.
Can u please assist me on it.
I'm about 6 feet tall and slim guy
Coming to my usage my daily travel is 50kms - 65kms with a hell lot of traffic ( I stay in Hyderabad) and would tour or go long once in 2-3 months about 200kms long.
I like to have single seat. And I test drived all of the bikes and feel Himalayan is comfortable and has good pickup and less vibrations but hard very hard in traffic and so please can u help me out soon asap.
