It was rock paper sissors growing up in Melbourne in the 80's and 90's.
Fairy bread doesn’t use sprinkles. If you make it with sprinkles you will not understand what the fuss is about. It has to be made with hundreds and thousands which the US doesn’t sell. We have sprinkles as well and trust me they are not the same as hundreds and thousands! It’s all about the crunch factor.

Vegemite is awesome with loads of butter… I’m thinking American butter must be different to ours… and your bread over there looks weird too. Btw , we eat vegemite from birth and by the time we know what it is we have acquired the taste for it! 😀😀😀
The seasons in the southern hemisphere are the opposite of those in the northern hemisphere because the Earth's axis is on a tilt relative to the sun. So when we in Australia are angled towards the sun it's summer, but in the USA & Europe you're angled away from it (winter). It's the same reason the amount of daylight changes with the season.
I think this applies to some of the northern hemisphere but most of Europe and North America are further from the equator so have greater changes in the seasons.
Or am I confused. I know the southernmost points of mainland Australia are about as far from the equator as Portugal

Hey guys, it's a lot more important for us to have on/off switches on our power points, because we have 240V, whereas you guys run on 110V.
You get zapped with our power, and it's goodnight Irene. Not to mention that you're paying for leakage, and we don't like paying for things we haven't used. Your power bills would drop by approx a quarter if you had off switches.
Not true even remotely, our regs are just at a higher saftey standard, we have switches on our power points for both convenience of being able to turn some thing off without unplugging it, as well as safety of not having it live the entire time. 230 kills you just as good as 110. And power bills won’t drop by 1/4 with switches, they use the same amount as if they didn’t have a switch

As an Aussie we watch American Christmas movies. It would be cool having snow. But I’d much rather an outside bbq and go for a swim at the beach or jump in the pool. Snow is only fun while skiing or snowboarding. Otherwise you’re just wet and cold.
We do have air conditioning here. Several types actually. In the drier climates we can even use evaporative cooling...

Fairy bread is a staple at parties when you were a kid. Though my father is Dutch and they have a similar dish with chocolate sprinkles 😊
55 degrees Fahrenheit is 12 degrees Celsius. That is a winter's day in the southern states. Queensland winter is around 20 Celcius (68 Fahrenheit).
Mild summer is 30 Celcius (86 Fahrenheit). Hot summer is around 45 Celcius (113 Fahrenheit).

Not an A/C boy. I grew-up in the Caribbean and hardly ever wore shoes. On the gravel drive, still used to snuff out cigarette butts out barefoot on the sharpstone.
The distance from the equator is also the reason we in Australia have hotter summers and mild winter's . The fact most Australians are on holidays during summer . With the Christmas/New Year period falling so close and the end of the work year most companies close for at least 4 weeks from around the first week of December till end of first week of the new year . Schools are out from around 15th December till very late January so it's time taken to go to the beach , watch cricket on TV or go to a match etc . All those things you would love as its hot , and unfortunately you would see her inside in the Air-conditioning as the opposite as it is now lol . Never had a cold Christmas and love that I never will . Couldn't stand being inside in the middle of the holidays .
Best thing as a kid was getting to play with the Christmas presents all summer long . Going to the beach with flippers a boogy board . Later buying my first surfboard and surfing all summer etc . Couldn't think of anything better .

The whole point of having switches on your power outlets is for safety. To prevent yourself from getting electrocuted. My brother once worked at a restaurant and forgot to flip the switch and turn off the power before plugging in a toaster and he got electrocuted and had to go to the hospital. He had burns up the arm that plugged in the toaster
Specifically, we're taught 'turn it off, then plug/unplug'. Ever had a power point spark when you unplugged something? Surprise, surprise, if you turn it off first it don't spark.

They do have lots of different types of bread there just like we do here 😆 a lot of the popular brands do seem sweeter but I had no problem finding bread like ours over there. The main issue is they don’t have hundreds and thousands- sprinkles are totally different and lack the crunchy consistency needed for fairy bread
Nope, we are into air conditioners!! I live in Coffs Harbour, it gets bloody hot here. Today I have an conditioner pumping on all 3 levels of my house… I also sleep with it on! 😀

Summer is December to February, Christmas Day is hot and sometimes has bushfires too! In Sydney, we also have a full Christmas in July in the Blue Mountains, for traditionalists! Cold makes me into a hermit! In Queensland, where Brianne lives it's so humid, you must have aircon! 😫 Yep take off your shoes, we put on our best dresses, makeup etc, but we are all barefoot on Christmas Day! 🧑🎄👍

Depending on where you live, your Internet experience can vary, but the NBN (National Broadband Network, a project to upgrade internet infrastructure) has improved things. Unfortunately the government decided to cut costs so some areas got screwed over. Those are being slowly corrected. Now regional Australia though...better off on Starlink satellite Internet.
Not a lot of ISPs here own their own infrastructure, they're just resellers for NBN connections, so depending on where you live, sometimes it won't matter who you use.
Having worked for an ISP though, I can attest most Wi-Fi issues aren't caused by connection problems. Usually bad config or internal layout, of course your signal is gonna suck if your router is on the other side of the house and has to go though 4-5 brick walls

I wouldn't trade my Summer Christmas over the Winter Christmas. Spending time on the beach during your long Christmas holidays is far better than being cooped up at home in a cold winter long holidays. 😛
I'm a bit like Mackenzie, I can't handle the heat either. My Grandma came from Finland, she couldn't handle the heat, neither could my Mum. A sister and a brother of mine can't either. We have to be very careful about staying hydrated or risk the possibility of fainting. Even with electrolytes, the heat still wipes us out. I live in The Atherton Tablelands, Far North Queensland, which is up a mountain range behind Cairns. It has a cooler climate than the coastal areas, and we actually get seasons up here. Currently, it's summer in Australia. Yesterday I came back home after spending a few days in Cairns. Even though it's like living in a sauna down there, it was still a bit of a relief. At least they have plenty of air-conditioning there. Because life on the coast without it is a form of cruel and unusual punishment. So I spent most of my time in nice air-conditioned shopping centres and a motel room. At home, we haven't bothered getting because it's expensive and we don't need it for about nine months of the year. I recently met a Danish expat, married to an Aussie Lady, they live in Cairns. He told me he's seen enough snow to last a lifetime. He also vowed to himself that he'd never have to remove ice and snow from his car windscreen again. He panicked a little the first time he saw frost on his car. Oh, well, it's highly unlikely he'll ever see snow in Cairns.
I live in the middle of Australia and my winter gets as cold as 30°c during the day. Summer it's common to get over 40°c.
Bro we all have the same internet company. We have different companies but they all go through the NBN. The speed is what the speed is.
The speed is whatever you’re willing to pay. I recently upgraded from NBN50 to NBN100 so now we get 100Mbps but I know lots of people only on a 30Mbps plan. People also complain about wifi speeds as they don’t know how to set up their wifi to maximise the speed coming into the router from the NBN. Most don’t even know how to access their router settings let alone change the wifi channel to a better one, assign individual IP addresses to devices, change the DNS settings- all of which can improve wifi speed.

Omg, I'm totally with Mackenzie. I don't handle the heat very well at all.. or the humidity. It's been so steamy due to summer thunderstorms and has been hovering around 35°C/95°F with a UV Index of 8-10/10. Weather app has a Severe Heatwave Watch warning most days now, & we haven't even got to our hottest month of Feb yet 🥵🥵. Currently it's 9.10pm, 30°C/86°F & humidity has dropped to 47%. Thank goodness for the a/c & ceiling fans which I'm enjoying right now. Only came across your channel recently and enjoy the content. Nice that Mackenzie will be joining the channel f/t. I’ve never seen, touched or felt snow. I’ve only ever known hot summers for Christmas and I love it. Last Saturday December 9th, 2023 people were losing their minds because they said it was going to be so hot but the temperature on that day was absolutely perfect.
Today in the northern rivers NSW some of our roads were melting , it's gunna be a hot crissy and summer .

The best way to make and try fairy bread is to spread a thin layer of condense milk on the bread, then add the "hundreds and thousands" not sprinkles! In the past Fairy was always made with condense milk, I have no idea why people started using butter instead!

I'm not a shoe person but my Dr & podiatrist has ordered me to wear shoes since my "bogan feet" have turned into "African Rhino" feet. They've improved but i really don't own shoes so i do still walk bare foot. Weirdest thing is we walk barefoot in long grass or bush knowing there's spiders & snakes that'll kill us but that doesn't bother us Aussie's at all, it's all about growing up here & knowing ur surroundings

Australian Defence Force has its own language too. I remember the strange looks from fellow workers (non-military) when I directed them to the "brew room" and had to quickly amend to "tea room". Tea and coffee are "brewed", so when you have a cuppa (cup of tea or coffee) it is a brew. Therefore the room where you make tea and coffee is a "brew room".

Hey, us Aussies know Vegemite is an Aussie thing..... yet we see some crap in the USA is like..... WTF is that..... pure sugar? With my own children and also myself as a baby..... and generations before hand..... when your baby is ready for solid food, one of the first things we do is toast with a 'SCRAPE' of Vegemite..... that they can gum on...... nothing to choke on...... we grow up knowing vegemite and even now in my 50's, I still love Vegemite toast for breakfast, or vegemite on crumpets....... it's a cultural thing... like loving coffee and REALLY DISLIKING something like Starbucks which is nothing but sugar. When I want coffee, I freaking want coffee....

christmas day wake up super early go to the fish markets for fresh king prawns get home prepare seafood lunch with heaps of fresh orawns then men get kiddies pools full of water and ice sit in them with a dozen cold ones and the women stay inside in the air conditioning and the kids run around like crazy. this is what we call a bogam christmas

I live in Australia and when I get too hot I am hellishly unpleasant to be around xD. Also, I never go anywhere without shoes. I always say rock, paper, scissors... no idea why anyone would say it differently. December is the middle of summer, and right now, it's freaking hot. There is no snow ever in my state.
Okay so when you make fairy bread- it needs to be on white bread, butter, round sprinkles ( not the little stick type). Must be cut into triangles.
