Speakers usually sound much better than on a recording and I suspect that a microphone was used for recording that was not specially developed to record sound exactly as it is, but rather a completely normal microphone, but even if it were a professional measurement microphone you would the sound characteristics cannot be heard.

naa, get the R1700BTs version insted with sub out and add Edifier T5 subwoofer. This speaker lacks bass.
what if I purchase the BTs version, without the subwoofer ? I need it for my apple TV and windows PC.

Your speakers are inverted L from R. The active is usually the R in Edifier

Honestly top notch my friend, if you watch the video from min 2 onwards, you can see a real live sound test! :)
