World at war has always been on another level to me. Every Black Ops/ Zombies fan gotta give credit to it cause that's where it started and it deserves way more love than people sometimes give it.
WAW is a different level for some reason. I believe it's because it's set in actual history. Whereas BO1 and especially BO2 is semi realistic. Also the most impressive feat of fighting/sneaking through rebirth island by himself to make it to steiner. Its kinda sad that in bo2 2025, technology is so much more advanced while its 2024 now and nothing has really changed since they made this game in 2012.
What bothers me more is that in the new MW trilogy, technology is also far less advanced and there is no mention of anything that could lead to BO2, despite these games being set only a few years before 2025. MW2019 is acceptable, since it was made before they decided to connect the 2 timelines via Warzone, but putting references to BO2 in MW2 and MW3 would go a long way in reinforcing the idea that they take place in the same universe.
I'm also hoping for a BO2 remaster one day, since they could fix some of the inconsistencies, like using the 2025 youtube UI and giving Jimmy Kimmel his beard.
