This year my y5 will be using the Shakespeare graphic novels by Classical Comics. We got all 5 of the plays they offer in the original language. They do offer them in a quick text form and a more modern English. Oh, and I recently found out my daughter likes to set the language on her Minecraft game to Shakespeare. :)
How have I never heard of these comics?! Sounds great, and I’m definitely for anything that keeps the original Shakespearean language. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Kudos to Minecraft too!
Thank you for making this video. Any insights on how to teach Shakespeare is much appreciated. We are supposed to get to the Renaissance in history by the end of the year next year and if we do, I plan on starting a Shakespeare study.

Wow, thank you! Even though we are affiliated with Living Book Press, I genuinely think his books are the best printings out there by far. I have a dozen or so of his books and they’re my favorites.
I always have the same problem! I love Home Geography by C.C. Long, and Viking Tales by Jennie Hall. Those are the two that I read most recently. We also have The Burgess Animal Book which I’m looking forward to reading soon, as well as Understood Betsy. (They are both AmblesideOnline Year Two readings.) But you really can’t go wrong with any of their books!
We are incorporating Shakespeare into our homeschool this year. I purchased Shakespeare in Three Easy Steps by Simply Charlotte Mason.
Oh how cool! You’ll have to tell what how that goes. She creates some really cool stuff.
