Don’t always remember to do this myself! But occasionally. Go and sit near the entrance to Magic Kingdom. Try and spot the first time ever visitors. You are relaxing yet witnessing that first moment of wonder. Not just the young children but the grown up children too. I promise there may be tears 🤫🙋🏼♂️
Also a solo traveller and absolutely love it . Went a few times with parents and sisters family and was always restricted to what they wanted to do , sister and husband would sit at pool at villa till the early hours and then sleep to midday. Going by myself i'm at starbucks showered and shaved at 06:00 , breakfast at 07:30 then out till 00:30 /01:00 , making the most of my holiday
Thank you Sam for normalising my pedantic OCD regarding planning itineraries etc before the trip and then feeling good about ditching some of those plans when reality hits and you are in holiday mode! Didn’t think I was the only one 😍
First off, I really enjoy your vlogs. It is refreshing when someone manages to come across as a real person rather than as a manufactured persona. For me, the best vloggers are the ones that seem like friends, rather than trying to be entertainers. Coming across as natural and charming within a medium that can easily come across as too forced/inauthentic (or awkward and cringe-inducing) is a real talent. I know I'd totally SUCK at it! As a seasoned (AKA "ancient") solo Disney traveler, your Top Tips were excellent. I especially liked your advice about doing things a bit outside your normal comfort zone as well as advising people not to feel self-conscious about being solo. Early on as a newbie solo visitor, I manufactured an internal "story" that I was taking time off from attending a conference or taking a break from the rest of my (fictitious) travel party. It helped me feel less awkward, back when I had the slightest concern of what others may think--those days are long gone! The strangers around you probably don't give a crap why you're riding Peter Pan by yourself...and if they do, it's an opportunity to make them feel horrible for prying into something so personal ("this was my murdered mother's favorite ride, so I always ride it in her honor of her memory"). Ok, I never did that, but dreaming of a snappy retort can be a fun exercise whilst waiting in a long line! As far as getting out of one's comfort zone, I've found that doing some of the premium experiences have been rewarding, especially those that force you to interact with strangers. Wild Africa Trek, the Segway tour at Fort Wilderness, Dining With an Imagineer, the Safari/Dinner at AKL, Keys to the Kingdom Tour, etc., are great add-ons to a solo trip...other than the fact that they have become shockingly expensive in some cases. The only one that I regret was swimming in the big aquarium at Epcot...I definitely prefer being on the other side of the glass! Lastly, I've found that solo dining at a lounge/bar (especially at the bar counter) is much better than quick service (which can feel lonely). For a splurge, the Signature restaurants are great for single diners...lots of interaction with terrific cast members and they've always gone out of their way to make me feel comfortable. Anyway, keep up the great work and I really look forward to your future vlogs!
I’ve done a couple of solo trips myself and they were life changing. I’m a bit of a introvert so it forced me to step out of my shell and chat my new people. And I made friends that I still interact with today (over 5 years later) I’ve actually planned a solo trip for December (... and may upgrade to an AP like you did) Thanks for some good tips and advice. Hope you feel better soon
Great tips! I'm thinking of trying to visit on my own next year but I was thinking the same with waiting in the lines on my own. I might go crazy when I don't have someone to talk to lol
I went on a solo trip in Sept 2017. I kept forgetting to eat. 😂 and I’m not a skinny girl! Towards the end of the trip I started really take in my surroundings by having lunch one the hub at MK, really exploring the countries in Epcot (especially Morocco, Japan, and China; they have beautiful, quiet areas most people just bypass!) My “escape” in Hollywood studios where they have the history of Walt. There are some benches in there... that’s the only place I can think of! Also, you can become a Disney historian by asking the CM at the door. They’ll give you a test and if you pass you get a certificate and sign a book! There is a place behind the tree of life in DAK where it’s very peaceful and the view of the water and the tree are just beautiful! Loved these tips!
Thank for this video. I've just got back from my first solo trip, to Disneyland Paris. I did character dining on my own and thoroughly enjoyed it. I didn't think I'd speak to anyone whilst I was away but in the end I just threw myself in to the whole experience and come away with some new friends. Your tips helped, so thanks again.
Enjoyed your tips. I had gone on a trip with my husband a few years ago and while he attended business meetings, I went to Disney World by myself. I had made no plans, I was just going to enjoy the days. On the shuttle ride over, I met two young ladies from Ireland and it was their first visit to Disney World. I had been to Disney many times and was happy to show them around. I really enjoyed spending time with two young people and witnessing their joy and excitement in Disney for the first time. Your tips on a solo trip were point on. Especially meeting other people. Keep sharing!
Great video! I just went on a short trip with family but they wanted to bail early on our one day at Magic Kingdom. I said "BYE" and flew solo, best time I had the whole trip! Watched Happily Ever After from a great spot, rode Haunted Mansion, used my FP for Seven Dwarfs Mine train, then got FP for Winne the Pooh and Jungle Cruise, had an ice cream, sat and people watched. PERFECTION! Definitely considering doing a whole solo trip now, I love going with people, too, but there is something to be said about the freedom to do whatever you want, whenever you want.
When I was in my College Program I always would go to the parks for some relaxing alone time. At Animal Kingdom, the hands down best spot is the seating on the water that is behind Flame Tree BBQ. It is a great.spot to watch the floats prepare for the evening show on the water as well as Expedition Everest is in the background. It is often quiet there in the late afternoon. As far as Epcot is concerned, I worked there and I prefer the tunnel under innoventions. But, there are so many guest areas to relax. I love just sitting in the land pavilion. I also enjoy taking up a bench over in the quiet corner by Wonders of Life. If you enjoy Test Track and its music, there is some seating throughout the exit area. Behind the twin Disney Traders and Port of Entry at the entry to World Showcase there is some limited seating right on the lagoon and during the day no one is there. The lil island in Italy on the lagoon is also nice but tends to be crowded. HS is a tough one. Though GMR was my favorite attraction, so I found myself there a lot. I sometimes sit over by 50s Prime Time Cafe and relax by the water. I also like to chill in a shaded spot by the exit of ToT. MK has many. There are benches outside the park past the small resort boat launch which is a path that leads to nowhere, but is right on the lagoon. I sometimes enjoy sitting at one of the tables outside of Tortuga Tavern at night. There is a bench near the men's restroom in Tomorrowland right under the TTA which is nice and relaxing. Right now you can go up to the train station on Main St and people watch and have some nice pictures of the Castle. Maybe you can compile some ideas and do a quick run through on your next trip. Love the videos and your presense.
I love your take on this! I've watched several Disney solo trip tips videos and I feel like yours is the best! It's a nice reminder that this trip is about me!
Perfect. First time I've done a solo trip to Disneyworld was for my birthday back in 2016. Best birthday I've ever had. I've done another solo trip back in September and will probably do more. So much fun.
Agree with you about making the fast passes and schedule to have them, but not always sticking to them. I sometimes play the game of just jumping on whatever bus shows up first to the resort. Makes a day more spontaneous and fun. I just tend to book the more popular fast passes on multiple days, then I can adjust my plans easier and not feel like I’m missing out.
So you have to book it but a great place to relax in HS is actually Sci-Fi Dine In. I think it’s the most quiet restaurant on Disney property because everyone is watching the films. It’s dark. The food is good and you can just hang out/chill watching the films for a while after you finish your meal!
I came across for first solo Disney video like a month ago and it inspired me to take my own lol. I was there on Valentine’s Day anddd I’m pretty sure I’m going back at the end of the month lol. Pls don’t stop making videos ❤️❤️
Fantastic video! I’m planning a solo trip for June and cannot wait! Love your tips, especially being out of comfort zone as I’m very socially awkward so gonna set myself a target of talking to 10 strangers a day :)
I went on a solo trip last year for a week. No time for rest days. I had to do a park a day. I was up and out every morning for rope drop but as the week went on I was going back to the hotel earlier at night. I was knackered but had the best time. 😊
Going solo is on my bucket list-Disney is probably the only place I would go solo. Would love to hear more of your solo tips. Very much enjoyed both your solo Vlogs and your vlogs with Adam.
Very helpful. Thankyou. As a near future retiree, I'll most likely be doing this. Not that much though. Not really that up on the lone wolf bit for Disney World or meeting someone new at the park thing too much. Probably will just find a bunch of nice beaches all over the place and chill. And there are a lot of nice beaches in this world. And just hit Disney and other amusement parks in the future just here and there. Been to Disney like a zillion times in the past with family but never alone. Now as a near retiree, and yess!!! I'm :) really happy about that!!! I'm just chillin for some years. Low stress, Low worry, Low problems, just enjoy, that's all I want or need, good enough for me!!!
I just did my first solo trip in January and it was amazing. I had so much fun being able to do what i want without having to worry about the other person with me. I once had a couple looking at me when i had a meal at Wave for breakfast and heard the wife say "Oh wow she by herself i can never do that" I just looked at her and smiled. Not everyone is meant to travel solo guess I'm just more braver then she is. I already planned my next solo trip for March and I couldnt be more excited : )
Thanks for the tips, Sam! I've done quite a few solo trips and they really are very delightful. Heading over to the Boardwalk is a wonderful place to rest up. So easy to sidetrack for an hour and get a bit of quiet. Thanks for your insights! K
Great tips. I think they all apply to going with a group. I like to talk with people around me. You learn something about people. A chill spot in Hollywood Studios is near the lake. The best tip is to remember no one cares what you are doing. We sometimes get wrapped up in what other people think. Thanks again for doing this.
I did a solo trip for the first time at the end of last month, and honestly, I wished this vlog was published before I went. You gave some good advice and I would’ve definitely had used some of your helpful tips. Really enjoy the vlogs. Keep them up!!
Great video Sam - I have to say Tip #7 is THE most important, if anyone is a bit introverted (like me), and wants to go and do something in life, but no one else is up for it, or can afford it. GO AND DO IT on your own. Life is too short to be wondering "what if?". I'm not saying its easy, but once you've done it a few times in other areas of life, you really do get it - no-one cares, and if anyone does AND has the rudeness to show it, its their problem and their weakness, not yours. But because it's Disney, I can't think of a better place on earth to do this, if that's what you want.
Love your tips Sam! You asked for comments about great places to chill in Disney. You’re totally right about Hollywood Studios - there really isn’t much of a decent place to just chill and it kind of sucks. I mostly just chill there by going to shows - not a great option, but you do what you can to get through the day. Magic Kingdom hub grass is cool...but next time you go you should *really* check out Tom Sawyer Island. Just discovered it myself and it is an *amazing* spot to chill, especially if you aren’t sure whether you want to watch the parade or escape the parade. You head toward Aunt Polly’s refreshments (a quick service place that is only open on the *busiest* of park days). There is a ton of seating (including rocking chairs), not a lot of people and a surprisingly good view of the parade. :-) And as for not being able to chill at EPCOT...?!?? EPCOT is the most chill of all the parks - if you get off the main drag. The gardens in the England pavilion are almost always quiet. Katsura Grill (the quick service in Japan) is beautiful, the food is authentic and really good, and the seating area is *gorgeous* and super chill. Morocco, Canada both have little off-the-beaten path spots that are kind of a maze to get to but are worth it when you get there. Even the America pavilion has a chill spot (the American Adventure building is open between the shows and no one seems to think to go in there). France has no chill spot (insert joke here), but other than that...Make this a goal for your next trip. I promise there are tons of spots to chill all over EPCOT. You just have to look for them.
Now you're making me wanna go back and hunt them all down. So helpful, thank you! I've heard a lot about Tom Sawyer Island but I've never got round to doing it, it was closed last time I went. That's priority number one for the next visit now I think
Love your vlog! Lots of good information. On my Disney trip last year, I had 3 days on my own. At first it felt awkward, but I actually did so much more being alone!! And I had lunch at the Brown Derby all by myself. Yes...I have to admit it was a bit uncomfortable, but I'm glad I did it!
In hollywood studios inside Launch Bay there are really nice padded benches. I found it to be a good place to chill since it’s dark, not crowded, and comfortable.
Got a trip booked for September, not a solo one but still found this video helpful. Especially about fast passes, didn’t know the ones booked in advance had to be at the same park! no one else has mentioned that in blogs I’ve read or videos I’ve watched.
thank you for the video, hope you feel better, am going in September alone this year, your info is very helpful - animal kingdom the oasis - magic kingdom benches above the train station - epcot tangerine café in morocco - the studios outside starbucks under the shade with a cold drink - how's ellie?
Hope you feel better!! A slightly expensive but amazing chill out spot is Nomad Lounge in Animal Kingdom, discovered it on my trip earlier this month and it was so nice to relax there with a drink and their bread service for an hour or so. I've not done solo yet but i'm always mentally prepared to be a solo traveller every time I book (usually someone in my family can't resist the lure!!)
Great vid. My family always want to come with me so no solo trips for me but I admire all those who do go it alone. Looking forward to hearing more about your next trips...maybe you could do a series of vlogs showing ppl how to book the holiday then dining then fastpasses etc...it could "Sam's steps to your Disney Vacation" or a better title than that lol xx
My first solo trip was just a couple weeks ago. I had a great time and would definitely do it again. I guess I don't seem to do to much relaxing in the parks. I do enjoy chilling at Disney Springs though especially somewhere near the water with an adult beverage!
Great advice Sam, especially about challenging yourself to do something that is a real stretch - looking forward to following your next trips this year!
Great Tips Sam. We were wondering if you need ideas for some videos, take us on some adventures in the area where you live. I would love to be a tourist from your point of view. Thanks for vids
Favourite solo place to chill is main street USA - I like chilling in busy places to people watch, preferably surrounded by Starbucks and plaza ice cream!
Hi Sam, good video as always. I have always traveled alone. I find it great to be able to do what I like when I like. Planning on going to China in October as I have always wanted to visit the Great Wall and the Terracotta Army. In terms of chilling, I normally just find a nice quiet bar and stick my earphones in.
Never went to Disney Solo. Was thinking about it not that long ago because hubby couldn't come and kids were in school. Sounds relaxing! hahah! Love the video, thanks for sharing👍
At Hollywood Studios, I go to the tables across from the side entrance to Starbucks. but it is closed now. It is a nice quiet spot and the tables have umbrellas. It is on the right side of the Brown Derby.
Chill out in Hollywood Studios - exit for Tower of Terror. Epcot - Japan Pavilion garden! Future world side of Epcot tho, yeah, not so nice. We went to Epcot first on our most recent trip because Magic Kingdom had one of the early morning magic events, and Epcot had extra magic hours.... with the UK jetlag we needed to make use of the morning!
Favorite place to sleep in Epcot is next to innoventions (club cool side) on the yard. Or in the area with the tables. But for napping places, universal wins. By the water behind Mythos or across from Hulk on IOA or in the AstroTurf field at US. Great napping spots.
In Hollywood studios a good place to chill is back by mama melrose and the Christmas shop in the back on the park. It’s normally really quite back there no matter how busy the park is. Was there at New Years and it was empty back there.
Hope you are feeling better. I'm just getting over a upper respiratory infection that I've been fighting for the past two weeks. I've gone to Disney more times as a solo than with family and friends. A good place to chill in Epcot is the Rose Garden in the UK. I've sat back there and enjoyed the shade.
Great addition to your vlogs, Sam. Loved tip #7, not a fan of tip #5...going on my next solo trip in June, so I’ll see what I can do to better interact with other humans. Ugh......
My favorite places to chill are Nomad Lounge in Animal Kingdom and Cava de Tequila in Epcot. I also think the People Mover is a great spot for relaxing, but it seems to be getting a bit more popular (and I'm not waiting in line for that ride). Thanks for the great videos!
Some great tips, so glad you and other people are doing solo trips as it has made me feel I can do this too! I also think the American parks are easier to talk to people as in general Americans are very friendly and chatty. Not sure if this would be the same if you were in Disneyland Paris, who knows though as people do surprise you.
Great video! Awesome tips! Feel better! My favorite places to chill in each park: MK: On the people mover Epcot: Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar in the Italy pavilion or outside of the Katsura Grill quick service restaurant in the Japan pavilion. DHS: Brown Derby Lounge AK: There are these quiet terraces down some stairs from the main pathway between Asia and Africa that have tables and chairs. They tend to be pretty secluded and over lovely views of the water, Everest, and the Tree of Life.
Sam you’re really funny! Great tips, all of them! I have an annual pass and live about 80 minutes from WDW. To relax, especially while at the Magic Kingdom I like riding the hotel monorail to the Polynesian. It’s quiet and most of all, air conditioned! I too periodically will go to the parks by myself. I enjoy it...never really gone with the expressed intent to meet someone new.
Really enjoyed this video! I went on my first solo trip to Disney World in January and I also had a lunch reservation for Be Our Guest. I think it's a good option if you've never really dined by yourself - it gives you a chance to see if you mind eating by yourself even though it is technically a quick service meal. I also enjoyed people watching outside of the Trolley Car Cafe in Hollywood Studios. There were a few tables available while I was there, so I was able to grab a Starbucks and hang out. Have you dined at any other sit down restaurants by yourself? If not, what were some of your favorite quick service spots when traveling solo? I am thinking about my next solo trip and wonder where some good places would be. I look forward to your next video!
I would love to actually brave it and just go to Florida on my own.. it’s something I’ve always wanted to do. I’ve been on many trips to Disney with friends in the past, but deffo need something to push me out of my comfort zone and interact with strangers.. really helpful video thanks Sam! More of these please 🙌🏻 I’d love to know more about your planning process and how you overcame any fears of flying on your own (if you had any?!)
Tupac512 It was overall good! I could go on my favorite rides multiple times and do what I want when I wanted. I will say the thing about a Disney trip is after rides or fireworks you want to look at someone and get excited, but I didn’t really have anyone to do that with. But I did meet some awesome people in the parks so i didn’t feel entirely lonely. I think it’s worth doing at least once :)
Great tips Sam! I actually love going out on solo trips, especially when there are so many things to do, like in the parks. Eating on your own is very therapeutic for me so I highly recommend doing that at a proper sit down restaurant next time. I like to people watch so doing solo trips is perfect! As the other commenter said, Epcot has some great places to just chill and relax. I find that whole park as very laid back anyway but it is my fave so I'm a little biased. Keep up the great job and looking forward to your next video!
Were enjoying your channell! Now my 8 year old daughter has 3 Disney You tubers she hopes to see one day. Best place to chill out at Hollywood Studios is to leave and take a nice stroll to the Boarwalk. Thank you!
I'm somewhat introverted and somewhat outgoing, but I'm taking a 14 day solo trip in September because I love Disney and the immersion of being there. When I've gone with someone, they always want to change plans, walk extremely slow when we need to be somewhere, take 20 minute bathroom breaks, and the like....so screw it...I'm going solo. I'm doing it for me. I'm going to sit in the middle of Ohana at dinner by myself and just enjoy the food and the atmosphere. I'm going to ride Test Track about 20 times. I'm going to go to Flight of Passage and have about 5+ Fastpasses for it while walking up past the standby queue watching everyone that is waiting for 4 hours give me dirty looks like "How were you able to get a freakin Fastpass for this?!" or the infamous "Well I saved alot of money staying offsite so it all balances out." ..... No it really doesn't. Stay on-site...get your ass out of bed at 6:30am and be ready to be a mouse clicking war hero when it comes time to book Flight of Passage Fastpasses, then you won't have to wait in your 4 hour line and try to convince yourself that it "balanced out" because you saved money staying off-site. Anyways, Sam I'm rambling. Yea I'm going on a 14 day solo trip in September of this year.
I have a cold too, why do colds exist in the summer?! I love your videos Sam maybe you could do one on what it costs to go to Disney. I'm a numbers guy so that always interests me.
Live your best life, be like Sam. I like to chill at Nomads lounge in AK, I used to like the back of Writers Stop in HS. Have not found a replacement. EPCOT I like behind the UK or a bench over by the constuction at old universe of energy. The DVC lounge is ok too. In MK I like the side street on Main st or sometimes the gift shop outside splash mountain is quiet but no place to plop the tush. But nothing beats leaving on the monorail and sitting in a nook at a resort. ;)
Awesome well thought out video, but we need the longer one you almost did! Favourite places to chill in Magic Kingdom are down the side alley on Main Street, or on Tom Sawyer Island. In EPCOT at Sunshine Seasons in The Land or on the lower area by the lake between UK and France pavilions. At Animal Kingdom on the balcony at Nomad Lounge or on the gorilla or tiger trail. At Hollywood Studios on the benches around echo lake.
Would loveee a more detailed vid mate! I've been to Orlando twice now with friends, but I'm thinking about booking a solo trip and would love some advice on how to penny pinch. I see you stayed offsite during your trip, and Im wondering if it was worth it over staying onsite at Disney?
Theresa Ivan yeah I nearly included that but you still have to join the main or fastpass queue for most of the line and when I went it was quite inconsistent. The first time I said I was a single rider they sent me almost straight to the front. The second time, the guy said “it doesn’t matter” and sent me in the regular line... so I didn’t trust it enough to keep it in 😂
Solo chill -MK: Town Sq rocking chair; TTA. Epcot: Sunshine Seasons. DHS-tables by Catalina Eddie’s. AK-Nomad lounge outdoor seating
Don’t always remember to do this myself! But occasionally. Go and sit near the entrance to Magic Kingdom. Try and spot the first time ever visitors. Sam, yes I spent a day on the lazy river at Typhoon Lagoon! So relaxing and at least kept me cool. Thanks again. ❤️ Ross

I love your take on this! I've watched several Disney solo trip tips videos and I feel like yours is the best! It's a nice reminder that this trip is about me!
You are quite enjoyable to watch...going solo next week. So excited to do JUST ME finally ;)
Great video Sam! Thanks for sharing your tips - definitely some to think about. Can't wait for more vlogs!
Fantastic advice Sam! Hope you feel better soon and you rid of your cold soon xx
👏 Very inspiring 👏 🙌 😀
Perfect.
First time I've done a solo trip to Disneyworld was for my birthday back in 2016. Best birthday I've ever had.
I've done another solo trip back in September and will probably do more. So much fun.
I travel a lot of solo places , and want to do WDW. Is September a good time ?
Ooh good shout, I’ll try it next time
im going to Disney on my own next month. i loved your tips
Such a good idea 💡 Will this be your first solo trip? They’re so liberating, it’s amazing 😂
Thank you so much for this! Booked, 1st time solo and almost two decades since last visit, anxious 100%! I could listen and listen. Thanks again
Am thinking of going next year on my own so cheers for the tips . Great video . Keep vlogging 😁
Thank you. I have been on my own at Disney and it was wonderful!!! Would love to hear more of your tips for any Disney Trip you do...
Hi Sam, enjoyed your tips. saving this video and will watch again when I take my solo trip to Disney world. planning in October or January 2020.
Thanks for the tips, Sam! I've done quite a few solo trips and they really are very delightful. Heading over to the Boardwalk is a wonderful place to rest up. So easy to sidetrack for an hour and get a bit of quiet. Thanks for your insights! K
Glad you're having fun with your channel. I'm having fun watching it!
You’ll just have to go again 🤷🏻♂️
Oh, no fear of that NOT happening again. I enjoyed it immensely.
Sam mate could watch your vids all day keep it up dude x
Thanks Paul! I’ll try 😂
Loved this!! I love your solo vlogs!! Hubby and I are so excited to do our kid free trip! We have 0 schedule! Lol! I can’t wait!
You crack me up, Sam! Keep up the great work! Xoxo
And as for not being able to chill at EPCOT...?!??
@@sammealey And it's in MK??
Thank you also
Can't wait for our next disney trip!
Chill space and Star Wars? Sounds perfect 😂
Love your voice!
Love your sense of humour and this video was ace! 😍thank you x
Great video again! Hopefully you’re going on more disney trips especially with Adam because you guys are brilliant! Much love
Got a trip booked for September, not a solo one but still found this video helpful. Especially about fast passes, didn’t know the ones booked in advance had to be at the same park! no one else has mentioned that in blogs I’ve read or videos I’ve watched.
Feel better!!
thank you for the video, hope you feel better, am going in September alone this year, your info is very helpful - animal kingdom the oasis - magic kingdom benches above the train station - epcot tangerine café in morocco - the studios outside starbucks under the shade with a cold drink - how's ellie?
Really good job - keep going !!!!
The people mover is my favorite resting place!!!
Great Tips Sam. We were wondering if you need ideas for some videos, take us on some adventures in the area where you live. I would love to be a tourist from your point of view. Thanks for vids
It would be “this is a field and if you turn around... another field”
My friend did China alone and loved it, you’ll have an amazing time
@@sammealey Great, thanks for your reply Sam.
doing a great job sam keep being you
Never went to Disney Solo. Was thinking about it not that long ago because hubby couldn't come and kids were in school. Sounds relaxing! hahah! Love the video, thanks for sharing👍
They’re so good. Now I have an annual pass I just check for cheap flights and accommodation every now and then... I’m sure it’s harmless
At Hollywood Studios, I go to the tables across from the side entrance to Starbucks. but it is closed now. It is a nice quiet spot and the tables have umbrellas. It is on the right side of the Brown Derby.
Excellent vlog, Sam😊
IM SO HAPPY YOU POSTED!!
Hi Sam. Really enjoyed the video. Heading to Disney in March, looking forward in trying the tips out. 😎
Yes !!!! Solo trips are the best !!!!
Feel better Sam thanks for the Vlog
Great video! Hope you are feeling better.
Great addition to your vlogs, Sam. Loved tip #7, not a fan of tip #5...going on my next solo trip in June, so I’ll see what I can do to better interact with other humans. Ugh......
😂😂
My favorite places to chill are Nomad Lounge in Animal Kingdom and Cava de Tequila in Epcot. I also think the People Mover is a great spot for relaxing, but it seems to be getting a bit more popular (and I'm not waiting in line for that ride). Thanks for the great videos!
Great vlog, Sam 👍🏽 Tip #8: (although you briefly stated this) HYDRATE, HYDRATE, HYDRATE! 😃
We've spent many hours relaxing in Baseline Tap at Hollywood Studios! Grab a pretzel and a drink and sit under a big umbrella to people watch 😁
Some great tips, so glad you and other people are doing solo trips as it has made me feel I can do this too! I also think the American parks are easier to talk to people as in general Americans are very friendly and chatty. Not sure if this would be the same if you were in Disneyland Paris, who knows though as people do surprise you.
100% I think the sunshine usually helps people be a little happier too
you always look good no matter what!
Oh Brian, stop it! (Don’t stop it)
Great video! Awesome tips! Feel better!
My favorite places to chill in each park:
MK: On the people mover
Epcot: Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar in the Italy pavilion or outside of the Katsura Grill quick service restaurant in the Japan pavilion.
DHS: Brown Derby Lounge
AK: There are these quiet terraces down some stairs from the main pathway between Asia and Africa that have tables and chairs.
Dole whip next to The Magic Carpets - great place for people watching.
Hey Sam, new subscriber...loving your videos...very interesting and enjoyable. 😁
I stumbled upon your videos this morning 😋 I’ll be going in April on a solo trip and I can’t wait honestly. Hope you’re having a great day!
Laura Ann how was it? I'm thinking about doing the same in June
Laura Ann ima going to try my hardest to try and do it. You play fortnite on ps4? Cool videos
Tupac512 thank you :) yeah I do! You play?
Tupac512 never mind I see one of your videos 😋 awesome!
Thank you Sam great tips. When is your next trip?
I'm going to go to Flight of Passage and have about 5+ Fastpasses for it while walking up past the standby queue watching everyone that is waiting for 4 hours give me dirty looks like "How were you able to get a freakin Fastpass for this?!" or the infamous "Well I saved alot of money staying offsite so it all balances out."
.....
We love a ramble here 😂
I did Epcot first on my recent solo trip because I wanted to Drink Around the World. +1 for the Choza Clasica at Choza de Margarita.
💋 Excellent Video, Sir. Thanks. Even with a cold you're adorable.
P.S.
Still waiting for the 'My 💖 belongs to Sam' merch. 🤓😄💋
Cracking vid Sam! Keep them coming buddy 👍🏻💛
But nothing beats leaving on the monorail and sitting in a nook at a resort. ;)
We will be in WDW late August/early September. Love to meet you.
Retail therapy at outlet malls is also a way to relax from the parks and recharge your batteries.
Hope you’re feeling better...LOVING the videos, your style and content...keep up the good work...now go iron your t-shirt 😉
Would loveee a more detailed vid mate! I've been to Orlando twice now with friends, but I'm thinking about booking a solo trip and would love some advice on how to penny pinch. I see you stayed offsite during your trip, and Im wondering if it was worth it over staying onsite at Disney?
Favourite place to chill in Hollywood Studios is Tower of Terror! Like, in the elevator.
Magic Kingdom single ride is Space Mountain
Theresa Ivan yeah I nearly included that but you still have to join the main or fastpass queue for most of the line and when I went it was quite inconsistent. The first time I said I was a single rider they sent me almost straight to the front. The second time, the guy said “it doesn’t matter” and sent me in the regular line... so I didn’t trust it enough to keep it in 😂
