Noticed something cool. Hobie's thing about consistency goes beyond his color pallet changing. Here with his Spiderman mask on he's hiding more of his identity, so his animation matches the "magazine letter cut out" style. He looks 2D as opposed everyone else. But when he takes his mask off at the spider society building, he becomes 3D because he's hiding less.
Nah, its 3D because that's the animation style of Miguel's world. Notice Myles is also more 3D there

I love the fact that Miles was worried about Hobei liking Gwen and potentially being part of a love-triangle, but Hobei didn't care and considered Miles like a young brother and helped him stand up against Miguel.
I saw it more as black guy recognizing black guy in a power system he has no control in… but yeah brotherhood is brotherhood.
He even calls Miles Peter Pan and Gwen Gwendy, he literally ships them.

Not gonna lie, I wasn't even sure I was gonna like Hobie. But as time went on, I slowly warmed up to him more and more. And then when Hobie helped Miles escape, that's when I knew I liked him.
@@garyking3389 His whole character is a great subversion of audience expectation. It's not until a second viewing that you realize he was doing nothing but giving Miles good advice the whole freaking movie.

Sitting next to my punk bestie in the cinema (full red mohawk). Neither of us knew spider-punk was going to be in the film because we'd avoided trailers, and I just looked sideways and saw him BEAMING. It was fucking beautiful.

Yet another cool detail to notice about Miles saving Inspector Singh and the little girl. He not only saves them once but THREE times. There's a frame @6:50 where Miles uses the debris about to fall on them both as momentum to propel himself. And there's another frame @6:55 where he flips them in front of him so that he would take the impact.
At 8:27. U can see that Gwen turns really pink after she told miles that he is amazing. This shows her admiration and true feelings for him. Man, she truly loves him.
Another thing to mention, when hobie said “Is this the younger from 1610” gwen immediately gasps and turns pink because gwen is blushing because she never stopped talking about miles to hobie when miles and her were separated. I think hobie is the only one that knows that Gwen is in love with miles.
@@991fpsthe writers and directors literally said nothing happened between them. Hobie calls them Gwendy and Peter Pan which means he roots for them. Plus they are just genuine friends having each other’s back. While miles and gwen have deep feelings/love each other but denies it because of the canon events.

This is, in fact, true for a lot of them.
That's kinda their whole thing. It's like the humor not only helps them cope with the stress of their situations, but also helps separate them from their private lives so they can do their job.
The only one who doesn't change is Hobie. "I was this cool the whole time."

Odd thing is Spot is unlike any other Spiderman bad guy. As we see when they get to the Spider HQ almost every bad guy Spiderman has fought has some sort of variant in another universe, no doubt multiple versions across any number of dimensions
Flip forward to when Miles is escaping and Miguel pins him against the moon train and basically tells him he is a mistake, he was never meant to be Spiderman. Well given that Miles being Spiderman played a pivotal role in creating Spot this would also likely mean that Spot is unique within the multiverse as well, a mistake created by the actions of a mistake.
@@L8ugh1ngm8n1 Actually, Spot is the one who brought the spider from universe 42, so he's kind of the one who created Miles. Miquel's big failure in this movie is treating Miles like an anomaly and ignoring Spot, when Spot is the one who's really breaking canon.

one thing that gets me about this whole sequence is that the black spots destroying mumbattan are nothing like the glitches that were taking place in both miles’ universe in ITSV nor like the glitches that destroyed Miguel’s universe in ATSV. Kinda makes me think that this was the spot’s doing (intentionally or not) and not due to the canon being broken in some way, idk tho we’ll find out in the next movie 😦

I think Cannon events can only be changed without catastrophe consequences if the spider of that reality changes it themselves. Gwen's father, quitting from being police captain, is proof that. She changed her own Cannon event.

I mean... the whole point of the canon event theory is that it's probably wrong. Even Gwen questions it by the end. If they're smart, they won't try to give a perfect explanation in the 3rd movie, because that sort of thing is guaranteed to have plot holes.

There’s something I noticed, the sound is a bit different from the Theatrical Version… alongside the Dialogue changes, im hoping they may release the Theatrical Versions just for what was shown in the Theater Versions, I think the Theater Versions fit better than the Digital Releases… but either way, yeah… BTSV May be the Darkest Entry in the Spider Verse Trilogy thus far…

Idk why but reading comments on who will dies in btsv gives me anxiety. I hope Gwen doesn’t die, Miles dad or anyone. But one theory that does stick out with me is his mother. They show his mother so many times that I feel like she will be the one to go. When you think about it in the video game miles dad passes away therefore whose to say miles mom in the spider verse dies in this universe. From what I heard the directors wanna go against spidermen having to loose there love ones, but I feel like miles himself will even have to sacrifice himself considering he is supposedly an “anomaly”. Hopefully the miles were use to trains earth 42 ( sorry if I’m wrong with the number) therefore we do have a miles morales whose still Spider-Man. I hope no sacrifices have to be made in the next movie. It sucks because it feels like in order to win some sacrifices do have to be made.
I think it’s going to be Prowler Miles’s mom. And it will be because of him betraying Spider-Miles and trying to take his place back in 1610 and E-42 Rio might die due to a fight with the Sinister Cartel.

It's kind of heartbreaking yet such a subtle detail that people either miss or don't think of it as such.
But when Hobie is running people off the bridge. Then we pan to the captain noticing the little girl. I believe he knew about the Canon event as Lyla would've informed him of it the same as she did with Gwen. Therefore, he reluctantly left the little girl there to let the event play out.
That's why he has the reaction he did when Miles saved them. Because it falls in line with how he thinks as it's completely against authority. However, this is the first time another Spider-Man has gone against the code. Regardless, if it was unintentionally. This is why Hobie takes the route he does for the remainder of the film. So, had Miles not been there. He and Gwen would still be in the Society.
This also leads him to ask Gwen how much she shared with Miles. As he quickly picked up that Miles did not know about canon events from how quickly Miles was eager to tag along with the Spider Society.
Sure, Gwen could've saved both the little girl and the captain. However, knowing how Hobie is and seeing how close he was from there, it couldn't have gone past his awareness. That's pretty damn tragic.
I dont understand why they muted out gwens little "no no no" in certain clips, it shows she's worried about him and scared for his safety
