The main thing is learning from others, whether you agree with their methods. It's essential to give your clients the best possible outcome in your work. I learned from this guy because he gave me food for thought, and I took what worked for me.
Bro at the end of the day it’s about making money , what I don’t like about 90% of detailers is they think they are too good to do a basic wash. Not everyone is willing to pay 350$ for a detail you’re talking to the 1% . I do everything basic to detail washes. You will have a minimal percentage of clients that know what a detail is. I had one customer that wanted a basic wash and thought she was paying for a detail wash so I typically explain to everyone who wants a detail or mini detail what is getting done to the car for the price. I never over charge . I’ve had customer book full 400$ details and when I look at the cars it doesn’t need it so I tell them look you don’t need a full detail why don’t you get this instead and you will have the same outcome. Yes I am loosing money but I’m honest and 99% of clients will call you back for your honesty
You are right. How much is your basic service? Can you explain what does it includes? I'm always trying to get the low customers, but their cars need a detail. These people want to pay $20.
@@smgmaxdetailing6010 depends on the car trucks 60$ , suv 50$ sedans 40$ basic vaccum , basic wipe down , basic wash , clean glass and tire shine take me an hour by myself. Quick and easy money to keep you busy . I still get full details that’s where the money is but I rather make some money and stay busy than just wait for a full detail to present itself
@@smgmaxdetailing6010 of course of the car needs a detail then you explain to them what it is . They take it or leave it plain and simple. I don’t change my prices for anyone but I’m fair with all my client and they book me 99% of the time. I’ve had customers leave 100$ bills in the car to see if I was gonna say anything , till this day a year later they are my maintenance customers. People like honesty
The only crazy part is you can offer that basic car wash but some people be having there cars really dirty so the understanding here is see the car first get pictures can’t give them the best work if there car is damage trust me I explain to people but they just don’t get it they think it’s a drive threw car wash
I'm detailing in canada december 16 and its -5C. pretty annoying. I've got a garage but it's too small for large vehicles. Keep up the grind soo much truth in what you say
I always ask what the customer is looking for. I give them what they want. If they want a cheap wash and wax I’ll just use my low end turtle wash with wax. Just wash, wax in one step and vacuum with a quick window wipe down. Quick 45 minute job.
I would never tell a customer you have to get a mini detail first before doing a wash n wax. Bro just get your money and do a good job and they will come back or spread the word and give you more customers. I would've done the wash n wax and explained to her what a machine wax application is so different and hopefully she will book for the bigger service in the future.
He still lives with his parents for sure lol. Jokes aside Business is Business and Money is Money.......as a Detailer myself (with over 50+ Detailers in our city) We are one of the few that have a physical location & mobile unit; and we have yet to detail a Tesla or a McLaren. We started from nothing and been in business for almost 3 years. Made $15K within the first 2 months. Business runs from volume of customers and repeated clients. Business is NOT about doing the cool cars and looking cool and losing a potential long term customer for a basic wash. We have repeated clients that call us every week, 2 weeks, once a month for a basic wash. And we do get Full Details as well of course. Balancing Time spent vs. Money earned is the key. But in my opinion most Detailers focus on all the wrong information from all the UA-cam Gurus instead of carving their own path to success. Rant over; have an amazing day person whos reading this lol.
Why wouldn't you start detailing for the money!? I like the sense of accomplishment after detailing my car but im most definitely NOT allergic to money and money makes the world go around. People act like doing something because of the money isn't noble when we all go to work FOR THE MONEY. We dont work because we want to donate out time or help someone out. Money talks, and bs walks. Dont let someone shame you into not doing something for the money because that's why we all work. Now, if you dont like what you're doing, then that's a different story. However, most people get into detailing because they like or love doing it. You dont just get into detailing because you hate it. If you hate detailing, you arent going to last.

The car wash leads to other detail services. It’s about selling. When you learn to be a great seller and closer you make money.

Thanks for the video.
Lmao... Wind sucks but no reason to cancel
What hose you using
Vac hose
That’s true
YES IT DOES TAKES TIME SOME. CUSTOMERS AND PEOPLE DONT UNDERSTAND THAT AND U EXPLAIN EVERY THING ABOUT DETAILING TOO THEM AND THEY STILL DONT GET IT.
Increase your prices the more reviews, pictures and following you get. I’m busy year round BUT wintertime months I 2.5x my ad spend.
Bro ive detailed in 20 degree weather. This is ridiculous bro TO WINDY?
So much bad information out there.
I’ll challenge you to not say the phrase “you know “
And how many languages do you speak?
