    It never occurred to me that podcasts were fake because that’s too stupid to comprehend. And it’s too stupid because it’s the easiest thing in the world to make a podcast.
    Several years ago before even UA-camr podcasts were a thing, I stumbled upon a podcast on Apple Podcasts that was just two random nobodies talking about nothing. They were like 20-year olds who were friends and they were just telling stories about things that happened to them and people they knew. It was basically like, “This one time I went to Walgreens” and then they would talk about their trip to Walgreens and an amusing anecdote that happened. And there were like 20 episodes. That’s when I realized there was absolutely no barrier to entry for podcasting. You didn’t even need topics.
    So the idea of someone pretending to make a podcast and uploading clips of it is such an alien concept to me that my brain rejects it. You could’ve just made an actual podcast. It requires minimal effort.

    • @bodyofhope
      @bodyofhope Рік тому +9

      Yes, but the barrier is having a buddy available the same time you are, and interested in the same topic you are. Twenty year olds are more likely to have that free time, whereas 30 something's friends usually have careers, spouses and kids. Unless you can promise to pay your friend to take time out to sit down for a regular podcast, then it makes sense to me that older entrepreneurs might flub their podcasts, and younger ppl have more time and friends around to do it for fun. Just an observation.

    The best part of vshred ads is when he takes OTHER PEOPLE'S CLIPS ABOUT HIM and splices them in to make him somehow look more authentic. Like he'll start his bit, and then someone else's ticktok overlay pops up "so we've all heard this guy by now, right? how do we know he's legit?" type things, and then... he just keeps going as if nothing happened. As if it's someone who is, in fact, asserting his legitimacy.... truly wild.

It just looked like something you'd uploaded here from TikTok and since I don't have one of those I was like "oh, sweet, something I wouldn't have seen of hers otherwise". I didn't know that that's what podcast setups look like, I've never heard of any of the people you mentioned in this video, I had no idea people were doing fake podcasts, etc. I'm so completely removed from all current pop culture, I rely solely on you and a couple other UA-camrs to "know" anything. Which is great, it's just funny to me that I didn't even know you were making a joke about something on purpose as comedy. I just thought it was a regular joke lol.

The really weird part is how people just wants views and attention without really thinking through why they want the attention or what they will do with it once they have it. I never comment, but I just wanted to say that ever since you changed your content, your videos have been fantastic (not that they weren't before, but now they are stellar). Keep doing what you're doing. They bring me so much joy and they're the only ones that actually make me laugh out loud multiple times. You're hilarious, Jaime! ❤️👍

    I learned French in high school, Italian in college, German on my own , and then used a language app to study up on these languages as well as learning Brazilian Portuguese. The Russian language had the weirdest sentences. They were all about scooters and backpacks and the "dad" was always trying to take the scooter and then at one point you learn to say "Dad, that's not my scooter."
