I've been listening to Neil's Harvest album for 40 years till today. I had never heard such a moving rendition / cover of one of Harvest's songs till I found out this version. Astrid, what you did is simply phenomenal. Beside you're beautiful voice, and the great job of your guitarist, you show how sweet is this song, how moving is this kind of prayer / confessional from a man who simply says he needs the presence of a woman in his life, not as a wife, but just like someone who takes care of him. I've read somewhere that some people said that "A man needs a maid" was kinda a machist song... You blew away this strange point of view, pointing out the tenderness behind the lines. You gave justice to a fantastic song from my all times favourite singer / writer, Neil Young. Amazing cover from an amazing artist I've juste discovered. Oh yeah I loved that and from such young artists. Am I surprised? Not really! Norway seems to be producing such wonderfully talented artists:- AURORA, Kalandra, Wardruna, Sigrid, Moyka to name my favs. I have only recently noticed Astrid and she has an excellent voice. What a sensitive interpretation of one of my favourite Neil Young songs. The guitarist did an excellent job in retaining the essence of Neil Young’s original piano accompaniment. Thank You!
