  • I've had difficulty moving the mobile sheep pen in the absence of a pull rope. My friend comes to help remedy that situation. I also get Pekin ducklings on pasture and get a dump truck load of wood chips.

    Hey Dan, Glad i could be of help. I really enjoyed just helping you get this done. We got Our 19 Cornish X out into the chicken tractor the other day. Getting the itch to do some piggies next year! 🐷

      A Hernia is when your intestines pop out through the muscles of your stomach and get pinched between the muscles. They're easy to feel if you have one.

    Just as a precaution id say to get it checked out to make sure its not a hernia, ok. Hopefully it's just a strain, but id say get it checked out to be safe and sure.

    Just re-subscribed and great to see you're doing fine. We changed the tyres on the lawn tractor to ag tyres. Mrs Lloyd now mows the electric fence line, has a tow trailer for logs and weeds, mucks out the sheep folds and they don't leave tyres marks on her pride and joy lawns. True, her tractor is AWD but it's the only tractor she feels happy driving plus it's now used all year round. Just a thought. Keep posting we're still here for you. Love from Wales.

      Hmm... I didn't know ag tires were a thing for lawn tractors! That's interesting. Were you able to source them at a local farm store?

    • @lloydr.6271
      @lloydr.6271 3 роки тому

      @@TheGrassfedHomestead We had to have them ordered in which took 2 to 3 weeks but they put them on new rims , delivered and fitted them so if ever Mrs Lloyd wanted to swap she can. The store specialises in garden and homestead equipment. The ag tyres also raised the ride height which meant we can leave the cutting deck on and cut longer grass. It might struggle to cut your lush sheep pasture though but once they've cropped it down some everything is fine. The ag tyres are one of the best things we've bought, no spinning tyres even on our steep pastures. Take care , Lloyd.

    Glad to see you tried pulling it with the tractor! I didn't realize that Cub is so little and low to the ground. Now I see why that idea made you laugh! But with wheels spinning like that there really is only one solution: More Meat in the Seat! If you bulk up a bit I'm sure it will work!

    Hi! A little nursing advice here. It is considered safer to push heavy staff rather than pull it according to ergonomics. Pulling can cause back injury which is very hard to heal. Keep your core tight, legs wide apart and knees bent when moving heavy objects. Good luck.

  • @genevievegreene1595
    @genevievegreene1595 3 роки тому +8

    Lots of experiments going on there. I hope you didn't tear anything. Take it easy, so you heal faster. It sucks to be laid up when there's so much to do.

    Hey brother, might need to relocate the tires. If you have the cage sit higher off the ground it will be easier, just need to make sure the little lambs won’t escape below.

    Great camera shots, really fun to see the drone footage. Glad you tried using the mower to pull the sheep pen, I thought that would would have worked also.

  • @enc252
    @enc252 3 роки тому

    Fucious say: raise lawn mower to max HEIGHT. Cut grass where you want it to stop it. Move it with rope tied to each front corner long enough to wrap couple times around your waist. Use your body weight to lean into it as kid on far side also leaning into it. Should be much easier to pull than push. Now they have fresh cut grass and the aroma will attract them.

    I see that the steel pen for lambs is already beginning to rust. You will need to protect your investment with some kind of protective coating, like J. Rhodes has done.

      It's faster to move once you get a pull rope on it. The fencing takes time to set up, break down etc.

    The abdominal muscles tighten up to reinforce the spine. Jostling them when you lay down will get your nervous system to pay attention to them and then relax them with deep abdominal breathing. I am available for video chat at Hans Massage on Facebook. My interactive therapy can be done remotely.
