This was beautiful. My planting career was over 20 years ago, but it looks essentially the same (even a lot of the lingo). It's a difficult experience to relay to people who haven't been through it, so I always save videos like these to share. Thanks for posting.
this video holds such a special place in my heart. i always tell people its a big part of the reason i decided to go tree planting. going onto my second season this year, cant wait:)
@@clairekuzmyk3061 She did! Just saw her today for 1st time since she went to Alberta and she's way slimmer now and in great shape. She's considering doing it again.
Hi Clare. My name is Linh, from Viet Nam. I am about to be a tree planter for the first time next month in NSW Australia. It is so lovely to find your beautiful video this time. There was a lot of hardship and apart from that was all fun and fantastic memories, wasn’t it?. Thanks for reading
that looks like such an amazing experience, altough a young mans game it seems, I'de be able to smile off all the hardships except ... for the back pains....
I learn planting trees in New Zealand Hiking mountains with 8 years experience working in the rain and snow we had crew with 20 guys We would fly to Australia for planting season the company would organised vehicle we pick up At the airport drive to accommodation And bring our own cook with us that make us breakfast dinner every day If was like a walk in a park plant trees in Australia cause their no steep mountain like in New Zealand And the wet season in Australia is warm too.
I found this after researching reforestation and agroforestry. Very interesting. Why does everyone planting dig holes and then plant? Would it not be faster for people to dig the holes and be followed by people planting the trees? It looks physically demanding and not most comfortable life, but the work is important.
With practice, digging the hole, planting the tree, and then closing the hole becomes one fluid movement! It's actually quite efficient once you get a handle on how to do it!
I plant for Summit Reforestation- it's a little late to be applying for planting jobs for THIS season. Normally you should apply by around Christmas to plant for the following summer but I suppose there's no harm in applying on company websites now
I have nothing to do with these people, but I have downloaded the audio from this video to mp3 format and edited the music into the separate songs. I am selling the tunes for $5 apiece. Contact me.
@@williamblair6467 What's the matter? got cought stashing and your foreman doesn't want patch blowies anymore due to one too many UTI's so ya gotta find a new way to make a crooked buck ya wooden nickel hunting dipshit. I would plant all day in 40c weather and give it to the creator before I gave u 10$
I am interested in this work, how can I work there, I come from an Asian country namely Timor Leste, my background is the management of forest resources
If you're able to get a working Visa in Canada, you can apply to any of the Reforestation companies here :) I work for Summit but there are loads of great companies out here... just be sure to look for jobs in British Columbia if you're not a fan of the Ontario bugs!
it starts in two weeks for most companies in BC and will go until mid-august. if you're interested, there are few spots left but would be worthwhile to join the group, "King Kong Reforestation" on facebook and make a post looking for work :) (if you have OFA3, you will most certainly get hired)
Very good work ! I begin my 17th Season this Summer 2022 ! Tree by tree... years by years ....i got my 3 millions two years ago
Salut ! J’aimerais faire ça cet été, quel compagnie de tree planting tu me conseils ?

Cool stuff
Is there a documentary on how the trees are planted and how long it takes before harvest.
Is your music on Spotify? I planted in 2019 and thinking of going back now. Had one year off and the itch got me and won’t let me go!!!!!!
Unfortunately not yet on spotify but I'll definitely post some promo videos on this platform when that happens! And I feel you on the nostalgia!

perfect! one less rookie that drops out half way through a season because it wasn't what they expected :)
You guys go all year round in bc?
in BC, the season goes from early May until August but you can find more planting work before or after the season if you're keen and have experience!
