They start popping off and being disrespectful because they can't handle being confronted for their behavior and they have nervous reactions usually to where they make it a physical conflict and most people who take things to that point NEED to get put on their ass or they will never full understand that it's just better to talk things out. Sometimes you have to seriously scare someone for them to change how they approach conflict. Only those that understand the damage others and themselves can truly inflict try to talk things out. Cowards that are afraid of fights freak out in the face of adversity

You're argument is that their hands aren't considered lethal weapons in general and that may be true, but the fact still stands that a trained fighter can have an assault upgraded to with a deadly weapon whereas a commoner can not.
