I just love this family. And all those other shows out there are just copying what Chip and Jo have already designedI love the way that they raise their family,Especially the phone business. Their hands on Parenting is so refreshing to see.
Sorry I can’t agree. The Gaines WERE my favorite but thats because they didn’t have a lot of competition when they started. After awhile I felt like Jo was repeating her preferred style over and over again. When she tried to do “modern style” at a customers request she never quite got it right. She’s basically one style and not very good at other styles she’s tried. She said they were quitting Fixer Upper because they didn’t want their kids to grow up in the limelight but two years later they came back and their kids appear in every episode. Their youngest child, probably about 4, is always on Joanna’s cooking show. We went to Waco on a road trip and ate in the restaurant. First thing they did was ask for our phones and put them away until we finished our meal. I never get on my phone when I eat out so anyway and that should have been up to me and not them. Besides I am not a child or teenager I’m an adult. Their store at the Silos sells items you can find at any department store. Nothing unique or one of a kind. Food in the restaurant just okay but the baked goods were awesome. I kind of feel the Gaines are now just a habit. Things like Chip doesn’t like cell phones so he decides you shouldn’t either. Imagine the trouble he gives his contractors or customers when they can’t find him. They don’t own a TV but do own an entire TV NETWORK. I’m having trouble understanding exactly WHERE they stand on anything.
I absolutely love this family…I watch everything Chip and Joanna do…have many products from Magnolia. Have Joanna’s cookbooks. I just adore them all. The kids are growing up before our eyes. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

I too adored chip and Joanna, however I’ve gotten very disappointed with they way they have seemingly forgotten their fan base got them where they are today, I used to watch them every episode now in-order to watch them you now have to pay to watch them. This is what happens when people go from barely knowing if they were going to lose there farm to the extreme riches brought to them from there fan base. Very disappointed 😢

It reminds me of the nasty old dog that used to sleep under our house when I was a kid, no one knew who the dog belong to, but he sure liked sleeping under our house next to my daddy’s floor, furnace!! If Chip don’t wanna cut his hair, he could at least wash it every month or two. 🤣🤣
I use to watch this show all the time however, a little bit of Chip Gaines is far too much. I quite enjoy seeing how she does design the houses but cannot stand seeing how immature Chip is on the show. His children are by far more mature then he is...including his youngest Crew. I do hope her cooking show comes back on, it was very good as was most of her recipes...and he wasn't on It!!!
It's quite possible that your heart is not cold due to Chips humor. It could be your just looking for a target. Look in the mirror & read out loud what you wrote. I promise you that there will be no joy. Anger is from trauma stored deep as the well can go. Spend your time appreciating the fact you have eyes to see, ears that work to hear & a choice to wish others well - even if you choose to be bound in pain.
