- This is a half-hour interview by Hawaii Returned Peace Corps Volunteers about my 1974-76 Peace Corps experience in Chuuk (formerly Truk), Federated States of Micronesia. The video was for HiRPCV's "Bring the World Home" and aired on Olelo (Hawaii's public-access cable channels) during Sep./Oct. 2010. It was recorded in Aug. 2010. My mom is from Chuuk and my dad was able to meet her during his time in the military as well back in the 1990s. It's so cool you have videos on Chuuk, I don't meet a lot of people who know have even heard the name. I wish I knew the beautiful language, though I spent a year there as a kid back in 2006ish. Cool videos, best thing is probably their music! To this day I have 70+ cousins living in Hawaii, Chuuk, and across the U.S.

Wow I'm chuukese and my dad is chuukese aswell but he knows allot of English but my mom Is from chuuk and she know a little bit of English😑👍
