Just love these well thought out videos. Even when I disagree, I still value and respect your opinion. For example, I love my medium classic flap, it just sits right on me and works for every occasion but I totally see what you're saying about it not fitting very much at all. Also love how fair minded you are by not holding your color choice against the bag itself, I totally thought I'd see your pink boy on the worst list and I was impressed when you didn't include it.

Can you do a bag specific video about how you prevent color transfer on your beige jumbo? I loved the outfits you pair it with, especially the all black one, so I know you must be very confident that you can prevent color transfer if you can wear all black.
You could rubb a candle along the zipper of your circular bag, and the wax will help it to run a lot smoother! My grandma told me this trick years ago and it worked every single time for me :)

Great video, Amie! I agree, I don't understand the Goyard love- the quality issues are known yet people still covet them. I have the prada mini camera bag (and just did a review on it) and I have been really pleased with the quality. Mine is in a bright red. I also have three prada saffiano totes for work and have found that my off-white color has much more wear on the piping (or at least it is much more obvious) so perhaps it's the light colored saffiano which does appear to be as good quality. What an informative video! The neverfull mm in damier azur with the rose ballerine is definitely next bag purchase. I’m been loving the Chanel deuvilles too but the larger size with the handles and that beautiful blush pink color (I’m hoping they’ll still be around for a while even though they’re seasonal bags!) and absolutely been seeing that Gucci Marmount everywhere in that gorgeous color! Great choices !

That was informative and I appreciate your attention to detail. Agree with you on the Mansur Gavriel...I had the larger circle bag and not only was the zipper stiff, but the trim started fraying with minimal use. I have their mini bucket bag, which is fine because.. no zippers. Sad about the Goyard. I love mine but havent used that much.

Yes Deauville is really good, do get it if you are thinking about it. Price is insanely good for a Chanel tote, I got it from Harrods they have different colour combinations for different seasons, very pretty.
Fantastic video. I knew the Goyard would make the list but it's still upsetting every time you show the corners. I'm very impressed by what you said about your Small Rose Gold because it is so gorge but objectively not great value.

Try to rub the zipper of the Mansur Gavriel lightly with a candle or even a pencil. It will make the zipper run more easily and hopefully you can get more use of the bag!

Wow, what insightful information!! I have been looking at purchasing several of the bags you talked about , and let me say “thanks a million”. I feel the same as you regarding quality and wear and tear. Also, the explanation of “good/ bad” velvet is an eye opener. I don’t want a velvet bag that wears thin or looks warn. I will stick with the YSL for this style of bag. Regarding the GG marmont, do you think this bag gets lighter with wear? I like the color of your bag, however in the stores this bag looks darker. This video is so informative and I was surprised with some of the bags which have not held up well. I totally agree with your Prada camera bag. Mine looks very tattered after a few years of using it. It looks 50 times worse than yours. The leather on the corners wore off quite early on and my bag has the bubble effect on the leather as well. I will just use it as a errands bag which gets chucked around. Thanks for sharing xx
Totally agree with the Neverfull and chanel flap. Didn't know about the Mansur Gavriel circle bag! I have the mini Lady bag and I like it, but good to know about the zipper problem here. It is good to see you took color out of the equation because I had always wondered about the Chanel small flap. Thank you for your honest review of these items.

Thank you so much for your video Amie! I love them! But I don’t agree with you in relation to the goyard Saint Louis. I’ve already have 3 of them and the wear and tear is perfect! No damage at all in the corners. You should have contact Goyard to give you another one.

I could listen to you speak about bags all day, Amy. I love my Chanel black jumbo and mini as well and I really want a jumbo (or mini) in nude. Also I have been thinking about getting the Gucci marmont in the medium - or in the small - in the rose/nude since they got released. I was afraid it would only last for a couple of seasons max, but they are still going strong. I love my LV Neverfulls as well and use them constantly. Now I want to add either a monogram gm or a damier azur mm or gm. At the time I own a damier ebene gm and a ltd edition Kusama mm in white. (Just had to give up my ltd edition Ikat neverfull RI gm because it was recalled). It's so hard to decide which one i want more. I'm absolutely loving the Goyard tote too, and really want one in grey or possibly green. It's really sad to hear about the quality issues though, so I try to talk myself out of it. If I can find a Chanel deauville in grey I'd get one in a heartbeat.

I have to agree about your comments on the Chanel medium flap that you made whilst talking about the small. I barely if ever use mine because of how little it holds, which has made me hesitant about getting the jumbo now. But I know how much you think of your jumbo's. It is very expensive in Australia for a jumbo and I'm just cautious because of the cost.

Hi Amie, long time lover of your channel, insta and website (and remember when you used to post on tpf!) try wax paper on the Mansur Gavriel bag, lv use it in store for stiff zips. I used it a couple of days ago on my zcp, the zip is smooth like butter again! Xxx (ps bought 5 massive sheets of wax paper on ebay for £1 inc delivery!)

Hi Amie....do you own a Chanel medium flap? If u do can u please compare it with rectangular mini? Towards the end of the video when u mentioned the Chanel small flap u said it’s the same with medium flap....do u suggest buying a rectangular mini instead of medium flap because the price difference is a lot and they hold almost the same? I hope I didn’t confuse u much 😕

I’ve always thought prada has poor quality - a friend of mine had a wallet that lasted less than a year and the last time I went to a boutique even the brand new bags has issues with fraying of the stitching and one bag even has glue on the corner!
The medium flap holds about the same amount of essentials as other brands’ small bags, the reason I chose it is because I am quite petite being 5 nothing, medium already looks like a jumbo bag on me, if I wear jumbo, people are going to think I’m walking around with a piece of luggage. Minis would have looked best on me but I really can’t downsize my essentials to that small, so I finally chose medium and use it as a day bag instead of an evening bag just like how normal height people use a jumbo.
I always thought eventhough goyard is a luxury bag, it has the same quality of longchamp le pliage. Same problem with the wear and tear as well

Yeah I think the marmont, Antigona and puzzle bags have a few years left in them. They’re kind of between very trendy and classic bags

Unfortunate about the Prada camera bag. Would you consider the YSL camera bag instead? I just bought the YSL belt bag in black chevron with black hardware. I don’t like belt bags so I removed the belt and used a longer strap to use as a crossbody similar to the YSL blogger bag.

I was surprised to know that you did not recommend Channel medium. The jumbo looks too large for my height and body shape. It looks great on you. I did try on the medium but never jumbo because of the size for me. Thank you for the great video. I have learned a lot and value your opinion. Xoxo

Ferragamo’s saffiano leather is very hard wearing. I have their ginny bag for a few years now and not a single sign of wear.

I have the Goyard Artois and that has worn really badly on the corners. I've been very careful with it but it has put me off using it for fear of it getting too badly damaged, which is a shame because I wanted to use it a a day bag. My neverfull on the other hand is perfect after 2 years and with no babying. No comparison in terms of what I would recommend. Terrible experience in the Goyard London shop as well.

Oh man, I definitely knew the Goyard tote would end up on here and I don't blame you since I've seen a lot of similar reviews. Still every time I see a bad review I feel like I have to come the bag's defense a little lol. I might be a minority but I got one (my first designer bag) and used it for two years straight in college, super overloaded, sliding it under desks and it has held up great! It's now on rotation with other bags but it's still my go-to airplane/travel bag and I adore it. The only wear on the corners is just the chevron design wearing off, maybe a tiny bit of fabric. The handles just have some piping coming off in a few spots but no other issues especially with the monogram - maybe that's because I only got initials and no stripes. Anyways, I can see why you'd be disappointed. But I wanted to put in a good word for the bag and hope mine keeps holding up!

Chanel mini can fit more because of the lack of compartments :)

Marissa G. I have a large Chanel collection and my black reissue with ruthenium hw is my favorite by far but I like edgy style. Not as good reselling value as the CC classic though.

interesting - I am quite disappointed with Gucci - the new items look very low quality even on online pics (zoumi line). Glad I got the Mini Marmont WOC, before it is discontinued, as I can see it is quite well made.
Goyard totes never looked like something of high quality. I just don't get what's up with their price tag. They just look cheap IMO.

The Goyard bag is made to be a beach bag but that is still unacceptable considering the price.
It's shocking to see that Goyard tote wears like this. I wonder if that batch of material was just defective. I got two Goyard totes and wear them almost daily and even put them on the ground without care, but really had no corner or canvas wear whatsoever (except handle glazing cracking which is universal). This makes me think that you unfortunately got a really bad batch. Perhaps try another SLG and you might like this brand again (although this brand has already started to over-saturate everywhere in big citie in US and Asia).
