      Hey!
Yeah, those foam discs are very decent. Naturally, you can make a decent disc yourself and start today- I showed how to make one in the video on discs and plates.

is there any way to end it with another key ring, neatly that is, as mine just look like a bunch of messed up knots

if you wanted to add another carabiner or metal ring at the end, how would you recommend ending the braid?

Hi Mark, Is there a danger of the foot-knot coming loose? Is that why you ran the flame under the knot? If so, how much melting, and what should I look for? I received my K-disks, and am ready to jump into the pool! Thanks!

      Hey!
In general, the footrope knot is in no danger of coming loose. The structure of the knot makes it secure and it is the go-to knot for finishing multi stranded projects.
I ran the flame over the knot to shrink the paracord a tiny bit, further tightening the knot. It is just a small detail.

When are you going to get into the square/flat kumihimo? I'd love to build one keychain out of that :)

Those are indeed excellent for keychains! The flat braids are on the way...probably a few weeks away. Will be covering different braids and projects. Looking forward to those myself :).
