Titania was an empress in name only, and although she could control the Iron Cavalry through telepathy, she was kept in captivity. The Iron Cavalry were taught to believe that they were defending an empire that, in reality, never existed. (The story quest doesn’t really tell you any of this. It’s in relic and Planar ornament lore only.)

What is said is that Glamoth was actually a republic, the Senate is the highest decision making organ. "Empire" is purely a fictional creation with Titania as its head. So from birth, they were indoctrinated to live and die for a fictitious Empire that never even existed. In the end, Glamoth Republic perished because the bodies and wreckages of both the Swarm and the Iron Cavalry were so thick in orbit, it blocked out the sun for all the inhabited planets of the Glamoth system. (So I assume that Glamoth was a solar system spanning civilization, but not a galactic one). And I think I saw somewhere that people theorized that the war between Glamoth and the Swarm were actually Propagation vs. Propagation, similar to how the followers of Abundance actively seek out other Abundance to try to rob them of their gifts. Propagation is more mindless, it's just two factions both blessed with propagation came to butt heads, one being the Gestalt consciousness of the Swarm, the other being the endless cloning of the Iron Cavalry. If true, I think it can really add to the sense why certain groups of humans wanting to kill off all the Eons.
If I remember right, even Titania didnt exist, she was just the 'voice' the iron cavalry heard in their dreams. And when glamoth fell titania's voice faded as well.
Speaking of Evangelion, at 4:50 you can see Firefly standing between "totally not Shinji" and "totally not Rei". Hoyo really loves Eva, hope we can see another collab in the future.
Always love your takes on these trailers. If I remember Sam's line, she said something like her 'Script' has very little words, which allows her freedom of choice up until the 'Script' plays out.
Sam said the script Elio gives her is always short. Elio must know her fate but doesn't tell her to avoid conflict, just like he withheld info from Kafka in Luofu.
Other than just being a really great visual spetacle. I really liked how this harkened back to the blend of 3D and 2D animations like the Honkai Impact shorts. I like the Star Rail ones a lot, but seeing the Sam suits with that 3D made me pretty nostalgic lol

We don't know whether Glamoth was during the Swarm Disaster or whether they were fighting remnants of the Swarm a few years ago. There is no timeline for Glamoth. There's is no indication that she has any stasis ability.
I don't think the suit has that stasis function. Owlbert said in the Livestream that the power Firefly used was manifested when she gained her consciousness as an individual and went beyond the suit's original specifications. Also I suspected that Yaoshi briefly glanced at Firefly when she awakened (from the light and sprout that grew from her tears) and keeping her alive while floating in space.
We don't know the exact date of Glamoth's fall or if they were fighting in the original Swarm Disaster, so probably not 4000 years. Her being alive after that whole ordeal is mysterious though

The Swarm Disaster happened on 1300s AE, while the Trailblazer woke up just right before 2158 AE. Since Stellaron Hunter is a new faction that has only recently emerged in the universe, let's assume that Firefly was discovered by Kafka on 2157 AE. That means there are approximately 857 AE gap between the two event. Converting this number to Trailblaze Year gives us somewhere between 64,275 and 205,680. That means Firefly could have been floated in dormant state for around 64,275-205,680 years.
The Swarm is probably my favorite addition to Star Rail. When discussing apocalyptic events in fiction that go beyond Earth's scale, such as nuclear war, and enter the scale of the universe, "the Swarm" is a common theme. Essentially, it's an extremely fast-reproducing hive mind-like species that propagates and spreads to every corner of the universe, posing a universe-ending threat. Another common theme is the singularity, where an AI civilization decides to take over everything. I love seeing something like this introduced. It's genuinely a massive threat, and if they continue to explore it, it could potentially wipe out the universe.

Elio will never give/reveal too much of the future and keeping it shrouded in mystery, hence why Firefly said her script has always been brief. All of Destiny's Slaves members joined because Elio promised them something in return, Firefly's wish is to live a normal life, Kafka's is to feel fear, Blade's is to embrace sweet death, and im not quite sure about Silverwolf yet.
Her story is so tragic. Forced to fight for a nation that never existed outside of dreams, Firefly became the lone survivor after what’s essentially a final suicide attack. I just want to hug her. At least she got to give her comrades a proper burial, turning a moon into a funeral pyre was the least she could do.

The Swarm is scary, and they did an amazing job to show that to us. This show us that we need to stop Ruan Mei and her research of Emanators. If a Swarm mother can do that level of destruction, imagine the Emanator or even the Aeon of the Swarm... In fact we don't even need to imagine since the lore kinda tell us what the emanator Starcrusher Swarm King does: Its original form is a giant lepisma that inherited the mandibles of the Imperator Insectorum. It can collect in its mouthparts the death ray that fragmented celestial bodies, and make shattered stars incubators for procreating offspring. It was once one of the nightmares across multiple worlds during the Swarm Disaster. I will say thou... That's a fitting name.

That might not be Glamoth, just a planet in one of Glamoth's territories. Glamoth didn't actually fall to the Swarm since most of the fighting actually happened at the border. They were actually winning, but something after the war caused their downfall.
After watching this not many people are forgiving Ruan Mei for reviving The Swarm, no mater how short it actually lived, that we see in your Part 6 playthrough.

And the Part With kafka at the end, Hoyo threw a curve ball at the Lore of the Stellaron Hunters, because it was said before that Firefly was the first Stellaron Hunter and Kafka came second, but now Firefly came after Kafka You will get a bit more for Firefly and Sam until the end of 2.3 Did you watch the Trailer for her already?
