I couldn’t agree more. Her facial expressions and gestures in her show were so much like Lucy Ricardo’s. She did say that Lucy was her inspiration for much of her character. ✌🏻🙂✌🏻
Exactly. Whoever watches Fran Drescher without seeing her so effectively interpret Lucille Ball's sense of comedy, timing and mannerisms simply has never seen "I Love Lucy".
Id love to see the shows timeline fast forward to 22 years later and see what the Sheffield twins would look like grown up, and Niles and CC's kid(s) as well. Would everyone still be married? Would the kids be well adjusted? Would Gracie become a psychiatrist? Would Brighton marry a nice French girl? so many things.
@@nickkocvara1849 maybe. God only knows what sort of childhood they'd have. I think some parenting styles might be at odds. CC would push the kid to achieve a lot (sports, grades, career), while Niles would want to let them just be a kid and he'd take a more holistic approach.
Me too! The first season was rather „meh“ i have to admit, but it really came into its own with the second season. I was really sad when it ended after that.
Fran Drescher is a fascinating and lovely soul who has overcome so much more than most know---including cancer and a horrifying home-invasion assault. She still remains a beautiful force of loving light, despite the shadows of heart-wrenching hardship. I will always support and adore her.
Honestly, this show got me through covid. It was showing on cozi tv from 10 pm to 12 am then 4 am to 5 am. I watched her everynight cuz i was in a motel quarantine and could not get covid. Got vacinnated 2 months ago and learned that the nanny is on our hbo max. All 6 seasons. I watch her daily. When im sad. Eating or bored. I swear her voice calms me. R.i.p. chester dresher n yetta
I just rewatched the show again and she is right I did not understand a lot of the jokes back when this was premiering. It was much more risqué than I remembered. Lol
I just Love you as Nanny, but now I love you even more... “won’t kill a fly” dear Fran , you have a beautiful heart sweet girl, Yes I said Girl and we are the same age... still watching THE NANNY🥰
I loveeee her outfits!!! I used to watch it when I was little back in my country Peru.. and it was soo funny🤣🤣 and now I watch reruns and still love it. Shes such a talented and beautiful woman❤️
fun, lovely, loving, honest, beautiful to look at and uplifting and catered to kids through to adults - lines that would go over the kid's heads, and be so entertaining for young to older adults watching ... the exaggerated holds of expression were so Lucy - who provided the same vibe with her show... wonderful formula
The art of the comedy is really gone missing these days. Fran always was a delight, pretty AND indeed funny verbally and physical comedy like Lucile ball used to do but with the Jewish flaire that has stood the test of time. I honestly laughed so much when the show first aired as much now !!! The comedy is timeless. Huge success To you Fran with a Nanny Broadway musical Play . I think people are more than ready for a wonderful feel good show like that!!! ~Much ❤️ Fran Drescher xxX mmMua
I just binged it on HBO Max, I was in college in the 90's and never got the chance to watch it back then. I LOVE it, especially Fran and her Lucille Ball inspired style.
As a kid until today, I have love love this show. I swear it's like something new everytime I watch it..... if I had a daughter, I would definitely watch it with her.
Watching the series (for countless of times already!) all over again in the evenings of late - now I'm at Season 4! :) Always brings a smile to my face and tons of good laughs, especially in this trying times. One of the best shows in my entire lifetime.
💝💐She is sooooo elegaaaant💐⚠️🧡 Look at those features and skiiiin🧡 Much much love for her, and hopefully the flour and red animals are removed from eating habits to prevent another come back of cancer.
Yesterday, after 28 years I just realized something SO great about The Nanny. No kids on smart phones. No facebook. No twitter. No googling. No people sketched over laptops. Girls in clothes and not squirting themselves into form creating sausage skins call lululimes.
What's great that if someone doesn't care for the show, her voice. You are bless to have a choice of not watching. I believe ,that if you have nothing nice to say. Move on. I loved her show , the cast members, creative design of clothes; which were in style of 90s. This is one smart woman. Loved Happily divorced.
She and Cote De Pablo were the two most gorgeous women in this hemisphere in the 90's and early 2000's. I watch her re-runs over and over and over!!!! I would have worn 90% of her outfits!!!

Enough of these reboots, revivals, remakes! I mean, I loved The Nanny and grew up watching it but a reboot just wouldn't be the same, over 20 years after the original show ended. Plus the actress who played Yetta is no longer around.
They are just advertising the fund raiser she did recently. I agree with you, but I have a lot of faith in Fran Dresher. Every show she’s created has been great. The Nanny, Life with Fran, and Happily Divorced.
Hi I just love this show please make another nanny where all the children are all grown up and have their own children and the twins are grown up and fran and max are still happy and Niles and cece lives next door with their child please

Glad nobody knows that Trump was in one episode or it would have been killed by media -.- (damn gen z.....)
Actually it was mentioned by Daniel Davis (aka Niles) in a recent interview. He said Trump was arrogant and snobbish on set and none of the actors liked him. But of course he said it in a more elegant, "Niles-kind of way" without getting insulting. 😉

That shaving cream scene was practically an homage
I love the nanny watch it everyday on Cozy Fran & Charles are the best

Wow she’s still every bit as beautiful all these years later. Seems like a kind person too. ✌🏻🙂✌🏻

Well said!!!
I’d say niles and cc’s child would have the professionalism like their mother and would also have a hint of shadiness like their father.

I loved 'Happily Divorced' , saw it all on youtube, shame it didn't get the attention it deserved.

As much as I love musicals, I don't think a musical could ever capture the YEARS of complicated mutual pining Fran and Max had 😂
I just rewatched the show again and she is right I did not understand a lot of the jokes back when this was premiering. It was much more risqué than I remembered. Lol
Same, I watched it as a kid and rewatched it this year. Became even better over time
I just finished it it's hilarious
How I wish they would do a Nanny comeback on TV, they are still capable of doing. Like- 1000 new episodes of their new life, I could watch it forever
She is the morden Lucille Ball.
Very true!
I would not say modern the show was done over 20 years ago
I still enjoy the reruns immensely not tired of it at all. Even though know what's coming, I still have to laugh.
Like watching, I Love Lucy. You know what’s going to happen but you still laugh every time. ✌🏻🙂✌🏻
Same, I always laugh even though I know the lines

My favorite outfit from the show was the one that was made from a bunch of candy wrappers. It blew my mind as a kid.
