0:40 Burnie: “This is the morning somewhere…”
I wonder if Burnie remembered that phrase for 10 years thinking to use it for a podcast one day, or if he literally went on an RTP nostalgia binge and found this gem as inspiration.
I want Burnie's dream as an RTAA. I don't want the audio to be ripped from the podcast, either. I want full voice-acting from Michael, Gavin, Lindsey, and Gus. Literally everybody else would be Ray and Ryan.
Upvote for this to happen! Lets make it a small like RTAA movie! :D
Should Ordaned Gus be Scientific Gus's twin then?
Well, at least it ALMOST happened the way I wanted. XD
Fragacide lol now its a RTAA
Matthew Barrett I know, it's great! I'm only a little disappointed that they couldn't do the voice acting. Still, that really was animation gold that Burnie was spouting off.
When Burnie was talking about the final confrontation between Lindsay and the head of the Polish army I had a vision of Lindsay running towards California's State line so she disappears, karate chopping the guy and then Geoff pulling up in a big old muscle car and saying "Get in, we've got a wedding to get to!". Then there's a montage of Geoff and Lindsay racing across the states in order to get there in time to the song "White Wedding" by Billy Idol.
Genius
That needs to happen in the live action movie
My God, they need to make Burnie's dream a real movie.
I think my favourite anti-climactic boss fight in a game for me was in Skyrim. My mates had been talking up how hard the dragon priests were and then I finally met one. The lid slides of his coffin, he sits up, cips into to the coffin lid, generates some kind of momentum error, dies instantly and just ragdolls back into the coffin.
0:35 Morning Somewhere cameo
gavins face after he hears about the two ghost things is priceless hahaha
I love it when they have 3 person podcast, just like this one
Nice.
SUCK IT BRANDON
Thomas Lazzari rekt m8
Burnies dream would make a BRILLIANT movie.
Gavin's Guide to seeing a ghost at night: Don't give a fuck, just go to sleep.
To be fair, someone else on the podcast suggested sleeping to ward off bears. Maybe bears and ghosts have the same mind-set: fuck this, that dude's a badass.
True...
Burnie I think that was the best story of all time. Make this into a short please, but make it a long short... a long?
A..... Shlong!!!!!
blazingorientel de asia you win.
What time is it at?
blazingorientel de asia bork'd shlong?
Gotta love that FL Studio pre-recorded beat at the end.
Dream starts at 1:04:28
Thanks mate
my saviour!
I fucking love the internet.
Freaking legend
Yes
Holy shit.. Burnie's dream sounded so amazing lmfao.
That dream that Burnie had about Lindsay will make an incredible animated adventure oh please make it happen.
"That one makes sense, there were three books"
ARE WE IGNORING THE HUNGER GAMES BOOKS???
Hunger games sucks.
Okay fine you can think whatever you want about the books and the movies but the fact is they can't talk about it as "the first movie came out, and when it was popular they decided to make two more" because they were written as a trilogy before the movies came out, you can't possibly defend Lord of The Rings with that logic and use it against The Hunger Games, they're in the exact same boat.
judgiethepirate You suck ass hat
***** arnt they making the last books a two part movie?
I honestly don't like that idea, I feel like the book doesn't need that, but that doesn't really have to do with the point here? All I'm saying is that Burnie can't raise the "making more movies after the first succeeds" and then accept the excuse of "there were three books" for LoTRs, they're in the exact same boat, they just seem to be ignoring the fact that there are books.
It's interesting because, nowadays, books are being made into movies, when in the past, it was plays being made into books.
Gavin should record this ghost with the kinect camera for RT Life :D This would be interesting to see :)
Oh my god. Lindsay in a wedding dress with a minigun...Michael clung to her leg like the saved girl. Someone needs to make this a movie poster.
Gavin's ghost stories:
55:29
58:52
God bless you
poppy thedogofwonders THANK U
that dream should become an RT Short TRILOGY !!!
Burnie's dream NEEDS to be an animated adventure!!!
Gus actually said, "lets wait for the animated adventure of that, I bet it is gonna be a 2 prater"
:D :D
Honestly at first I wanted Gavin's ghost story :P but then that Burnie crazy story is a must seen one XD
Hahahah yeah I paused the video to type the comment... should have waited that extra few seconds for Gus' comment!
Burnie's dream HAS to be an animated adventure
I want both animated and real
I listened to half of this on iTunes before it was uploaded on UA-cam and it's always so much funnier when you can see their faces during the podcast haha xD
PLEASE MAKE BURNIES DREAM INTO A SHORT FILM!!!
So it went from Burnie Talking about Trilogies and how they are practically used for marketing purposes solely then he talks about a dream he had which easily could be turned into a trilogy of its own!
We must have Bernie's dream be a RT Short! This would be amazing!
GOOOD MORNING TO YOU WHEREVER YOU ARE, BECAUSE IT'S MORNING SOMEWHERE FOR DECEMBER 3rd 2013.
Burnie can actually satisfy one of his new years resolutions that the other podcast guys gave him if he makes this a rt short (which would be awesome)
burnie's dream might be the greatest thing i've ever heard. i'd LOVE to see it as a live action short, or even an RTAA
They are talking about Trilogies, Half Life 3 confirmed
there were three likes until i fucked it all up too!
Technoguyfication its okay theres only three people who have commented
Nope
RTAA of ALL of Burnies dream
i reckon a short would be the best!
46:58- I can just imagine that happening lol
Gus- "You're crazy!"
Esther- "What are you talking about?"
Gus- "Calm down! Stop listening!"
Laughed so hard at that XD
I think you meant Gus..
Aman Khan I didnt know Burnie and Gus were a couple.
Thomas Hardy Hmm..You must be new to the channel then..
Just noticed my mistake and fixed it. Was going back and forth between talking to my wife and typing the comment.
And srry Aman. Was looking at the comment section from the bell icon (which this was the first time I've ever used that instead of my email) and it didn't show any of the comments except yours, and I missed the part that showed you talking to Thomas.
Logi Wan No need for apologizing..I am glad that you replied.. :D
The 50 minute portion of this podcast is the best. The faces that Burnie and Gavin makes are great.
My favorite thing is when RT talks about Dreams because I am OBSESSED with dreams :D Burnie's dream was just amazing :p
6 years ago O_o
this podcast has so much animated adventure fuel
Burnie's dream needs to become an RT Short, RTAA or SOMETHING, because its the best thing ive ever heard.
def one of there fake movie trailers
what about a full length film?
I like what he did, he took a phrase "You can't see your fiance in her dress before the wedding" and in his mind while he was asleep made up a story to it
The look on Gavin's face when burnie said those are your two orbs - priceless
Trilogy works because of society's understanding of stories having 3 parts: beginning, middle and end
I love when ads dont work its the best
Wait, people are saying that Time Lords are a class? No, the planet is Gallifrey, and his species is a Time Lord. He says so multiple times. In that regard, you were correct, Brandon.
That fucking ghost bit gave me goosebumps man and I'm not easily spooked
Burnie's dream is the best story ever. There was no way he could make that up, crazy dream, funny as fuck.
What if Geoff was just pulling a prank on Gavin and every night Geoff puts a picture of a old mans face on the window...
57:15 gavins face is absolute fear
Bernie: "They had a really successful movie so they decide to make another one."
... The books were there first. And the first book of Hunger Games wasn't necessarily successful when it was first published.
Yeah you can even get that it goes farther back when they talk about Tolken's LotR Trilogy.
Can't believe no one has mentioned how awkward Brandon was when they were talking about the games. He literally kept quiet the entire time. I feel that the podcast producers should take the guests into account and plan the topics to talk about. It happened previously with Kara, and now Brandon. They need to plan topics so that the guests can relate to them so it wouldn't be awkward.
But they don't plan topics... They talk and go off on tangents for almost the whole time. They might each have something they wanna bring to it but there's hardly a plan to it.
Exactly my point. Time to start planning topics so this doesn't happen again
If it was planned it would not work. It wouldn't be the general informal chat they have and that would detract from the appeal
it wouldn't work the same though
I'm sure Gus or Burnie talked to Brandon after the podcast. I could understand that Brandon has nothing to offer with the topics discussed. However him acting bored and pretending to fall asleep is very rude. It's something an actual child would do and it makes me wonder why he was even on the podcast. So Barbara, Jack, Micheal, Jordon, Miles, were not available?
First time watching a full podcast definitely worth it especially to listen to during homework
holy dang, the look on burnie's face when gavin was talking about orbs. -chills-
Wow, Halo 2 was exactly what I thought before Burnie said it. Such a good game cut short in the middle.
The text message period thing is absolutely true
1:05:00 is where the new RTAA is
They need to film that
This was such a good podcast featuring Gus Gavin Burnie and Gus.
Metal gear solid Lindsay
The RTAA audio starts at 1:04:28
You're awesome.
VelocityLP :D
I love you man
Guys… The Huger Games is a book series not just movies, I assume you know that already. there were 3 books so they're making 3 movies (or 4 movies… not sure, I think they're splitting the last one in half).
On the topic of the Tottenham Hotspurs, "The 'Hotspur' in London's Tottenham Hotspur Football Club is derived from the 14th/15th century knight Sir Henry Percy, known as "Harry Hotspur". The Percy family owned substantial tracts of land in Tottenham and Henry himself had lived there for a time. Killed at the Battle of Shrewsbury in 1403, he had a great reputation as a fearless and heroic warrior even in his own lifetime and was called "hotspur" because of his dashing willingness to charge into the thickest part of battle. This dashing attacking spirit has come to symbolise the character of the club, reflected in their motto "Audere Est Facere" (To Dare Is To Do)." Interesting factoid.
WE NEED AN ANIMATED SERIES FOR THIS DREAM OF BURNIES!
At 1:12:20, when gavin was talking about how you're kind of a different person in the twenty seconds after you wake up, i feel like that's one of the truest thoughts I've ever heard; even though Gus and Burnie were calling bs on it.
Why don't they turn Burnie's dream into an actual RT short?
it actually is
No, i mean an actual, live-action short.
Tim McBrine oh
good idea, you should contact them
They alrady made it into an animated adventures
Please make Burnie's dream into an animated short!
heres something that will blow your mind, what if, when we're dreaming, we are seeing glimpses of our other lives in the multiverse.
i love you
So you're suggesting that somewhere in existence there is a me who has a cloak made of grass that makes him invisible...*head explodes*
So there's a me out there who is currently battling the aliens from Aliens with Liam Neeson by my side? Well fuck me why am I here?
So i am having intercourse with Jennifer Lawrence. THAT'S BAD-ASS!!!!
sucks for me my last dream was for some reason and im not in the military in my dream i was getting shot at in iraq i hope im okay
So glad I decided to listen to this at night
What Burnie is saying about the period is really true. :p haha
Yeah.
I could imagine watching the freedom bear mow through a giant horde of zombies to Ride of the Valkyries.
1:04:29 for burnie's crazy dream
You are my hero.
Thank you
mm thank you so much, I'm gonna watch that so good, right now.
the11eventhour wtf
0:24:34
Gavin: And I can say "Volume up, volume down"
*awkward pause*
Burnie: What.
I can't wait for some animated adventures from this. Gavin's ghost and Bernie's dream and going to be some of the best animated adventures ever.
Gavin's face after Burnie's son's story. OutSTANDING.
RT Animated Adventure for Gavin's Ghost experience please.
God no :
0:59:04
I smell a new RTAA.
ooooh rt podcast
Burnie's Dream Story is probably the greatest thing I've heard in a while.
The number of Shorts this podcast can make!
New T-Shirt: Asleep me is less lazy than me
listening to this at 1am and them talking about this kinnect scares me
If it's the part where they witness ghosts, your not alone, my GF is scared shitless since we experience this yesterday.
ye burnie knows whats up, Poland invading the US and invisible brides. make that movie happen - or at least a rt short
kick starter
Or a full blown movie...
0:24:35 Burnie has the best ". . .what?" moment I have ever heard from him. Don't know why but I about pissed my self laughing so hard.
You know whats awesome? Going to work and turning on my MP3 player on to listen to my favorite podcast and then hearing that the company I work for (Fanatics) is sponsoring the only podcast that I listen to. It's just a great feeling!
On a side note, if you do order from Fanatics, don't be surprised if you're missing items or you have the wrong items. This time of year they hiring a bunch of temporary employees and a lot of them don't bother to do there job right (at least at the warehouse I work at). The system tells us how many items are in the order we're packing and we're supposed to make sure it's all there, but the majority of them don't bother to count them. So don't blame the company, blame the workers.
Also, if you do order anything, order one at a time if you want to avoid having missing items. The singles department is more accurate then the pods (multiple item orders, which is where I work).
57:13 Gavin got scared shit less. lol
Yo Jordan cant wait for the wedding dream RTAA
You guys need to make a short with Burnie's dream.
Gavin's reaction to Satan being out his window reminds me of one morning when I thought my house was being broke into. I heard some noises, looked at my bedroom door, didn't see anyone, and was thinking "Well, no ax murderer is outside my room. I'm going to sleep."
The ghost in the window needs to be an animated adventure.
I see the reason why people use a trilogy is because people see a story as having 3 parts: a beginning, a middle and an end.
OR maybe because The Hunger Games is also made of 3 books..
I was talking about trilogies in general. Besides, Hunger Games is gonna have 4 movies, Mockingjay is being split into 2 parts, which is gonna suck because that book is not suitable for that treatment (yes, I've read the books).
Arsio12
I wasn't really pointing out something to you but more around the thing why Burnie complains that The Hunger Games is going to be a trilogy which is wrong.
And yes Mockingjay is going to be split but I think they can pull this one off.
The first 2 movies were as close as they could get with the books and Mockingjay really has a lot of stuff they can't just ignore to get it all in 1 movie..
Hotspur because of Harry Hotspur, the Northumbrian medieval Lord and Knight. Harry Percy Percy was nicknamed "Hotspur" by his enemies the Scots as he was so wild and fast on his horse in battle and readily charged enemy lines. Tottenham took the title as many of the streets near the stadium are named after parts of Northumberland and famous Northerners.
The Percy family still live in the castle Harry was born in (700 years now) and the castle itself is well over 1400 years old. This same castle was used as location for Elizabeth, Blackadder and most famously as Hogwarts in Harry Potter. Facts chps, lovely facts
Dont write a fukn novel
daniel liantino-barfoote
Don't be a rude fuck.
Ha! Well I had to get the info in. Anyway, feel quite proud as I work in that castle :)
I think I can answer Burnie's question about trilogies.
I'm fairly sure it's all to do with profits.
3 is the optimal number of stories to have for the most predictable and secure profit. If you have a movie, and there's alot of attention for it, the attitude is "Okay, we gotta milk this for all it's worth".
And as was said, the 1st sequel has to cut off somewhere as a promise for the 2nd sequel, because the people who were invested in the original, will most likely watch the sequel, and even if it's shit, if you have a cliffhanger, or some element where the story isn't over, the audience will likely be invested enough to want to finish off the series for closure, just to to get it over with, or some other reason.
So then you have a 2nd sequel that ties everything off, and even if it ended up being a pile of shit, profits were still made on all three movies if the people making them played their cards right.
Everything beyond that is less predictable, and the audience is more likely to have lost interest at that point (especially if they were bad movies).
If you're lucky, and the audience is STILL interested, you make a prequel, because going any further in a story that should have already ended is probably going to be a bad move.
It likely works the same way for books, but I'm not sure if it's more or less of a common thing.
Well, that's my long explanation for it anyway.
That makes alot of sense, I probably could've pulled something similar out of my ass in an attempt to sound smart, but that actually seems very well thought out. I tip my hat to you sir or madam.
I totally agree with that but because I read the books, that's actually how it ends. The Hunger Games is a trilogy of books and the second does actually end on a cliffhanger. While that's super convenient for what you're saying, they didn't change anything to suit that in terms of the ending.
Pareidolia
Of course. I wasn't saying that it's the ONLY reason why trilogies are common, there are likely many more reasons. It's probably also convenient because 3 books/movies worth of story is easier to produce without getting to the point where the integrity of said story is sacrificed, wearing everything else thin so to speak.
Or like they said, it may very well have just worked out that way by coincidence, rather that out of conveniece or anything else.
Like how someone making UA-cam videos limits themselves to a nice time of 10-15 minutes, not too long, nor too short for the average viewer (that's just my estimate though).
But my original comment was referring to why it's a good business plan, and how because money is in the interest of so many people, it's likely employed often, creating many trilogies that may or may not be well thought out.
Glad they had Brandon on. He added so much to the Podcast.
/s
I didn't get to watch this last night so now I'm watching it in the morning lol
Burnie, i'm just gunna throw this out there, i want a movie based on your dream...
The reason Gavin goes into the covers is cause it's a natural for humans to think that what they cant see wont hurt them. That's why you close your eyes when you're scared or someone's gonna punch u
you don't close your eyes when someones gonna punch you because you think that's gonna make it not hurt
Exactly, because you are scared.
lari nenonen Exactly, because you are scared.
About the cockerel argument: It is cockerel. It's not our language and not yours, YOU ARE US. Americans in the USA are almost all British people moved to America.
not even close. Not even close. Thats the most ignorant thing Ive ever heard
Believe it or not.(look it up) British people developed the better part of the british accent and way of speaking AFTER the revolutionary war.
J Lo Wrong, yet correct. Most Americans have British ancestry.
TheKillersir751 Maybe 30% tops, depending on whether you include Irish, or people who identify as "American".
Yeah america is a huge pot of different cultures after all.
I'm so glad they are talking about video games on the normal podcast again, even if it's only this once.
The trilogy explained: Basic 3 act (despite length of each part) structure: intro, conflict, denouement. This fits not only a contained story, film, video game, etc. as a singular project, but also the telling of a trilogy story. Star Wars (originals) as an example: Star Wars IV = intro of core characters, Star Wars V = internal (love, identity of characters, etc.) and external (Vadar > Luke, core member, Han, gone) conflict swells, Star Wars VI = resolution of conflict; father/son resolved, Han/Leia love, Deathstar goes boom. The same formula that makes a single movie work, works for the trilogy as a whole. That's why trilogies are a standard, although there are films that just make a sequel because the first was a success, and end up making three, because that number of films is a standard as well; these are not trilogies from a theoretical or storytelling aspect, but just a number of films.
Wow Brandon was really quiet during the Deadrising 3 conversation.
Please please please make Burnie's dream into a short.
they should make a whole movie out of that
They should really talk about their dreams more often. Think that was the best bit. Could call it "dream-cast". Prolly wouldn't be long though =(
That look on Burnie's face when Gavin is talking about his little Kinect ghost thing is terrifying.
Here's what Science Daily has to say on saliva:
"Produced in salivary glands, saliva is 98% water, but it contains many important substances, including electrolytes, mucus, antibacterial compounds and various enzymes. The digestive functions of saliva include moistening food, and helping to create a food bolus, so it can be swallowed easily."
There you go, mostly water.
