It's people like M. Kunal who love the game of chess more than their life but are not featured in the news because they are not IMs or GMs. Well, the story of Kunal is much more amazing than any titled player you will meet. He had an elo of 2399 and five norms. People asked him to withdraw from the tournament to achieve his title. But he refused, "I really love the game and for me it is more important to play than to get the title."
It is this approach that has helped Kunal overcome the attraction of performance, prize money, norms and titles and focus on making good moves and improve his level of play.
