How to Spot Moissanite SiC using only magnification for definitive results! Double Refraction!

- Video demonstrates Double Refraction of Moissanite. Viewers should watch video using 4K resolution feature to better understand the presentation. This demonstration should take a few minutes to master the technique. Once viewer understands what it is that he/she is looking at you will understand what to look for to quickly segregate Doubly Refractive stones from Single Refractive stones.
After viewer has mastered this technique with a 10x magnification loupe he/she doesn't need to purchase an expensive moissanite electric conductivity probe tester! The testers cannot detect coated moissanites as the conductivity is most often undetectable without using an ultra-violet light source to further excite the atoms.
I’ve been searching for double facets and seeking out a more detailed explanation on UA-cam. This video was great thank you.

Slappy Goober, If you enable the HD feature of this video, focus on the bezel facet, or the facet that looks like a kite. Focus on this facet while peering through the pavilion mains and the culet. You will quickly discover that they display doubling, you will see what appears as rail tracks. Double Refraction.
