@@williambenner701 Well, when a person says "end of the world" it implies total destruction to some like a nuclear Holocaust or mass extinction event. This isn't what the Bible teaches about end times.
@@bingo7799 "The end times" is actually a bad translation of "the end of the Aeon", which correctly translates to "the end of the Age". More specifically, this end of the age is due in 2150, as the procession will move us from the current Age of Pisces (the Age of Jesus if you like, which started in year 1) into the Age of Aquarius. Those are regular 2150-year cycles. The previous cycle was that of Moses.
This is what was meant by "I will be with you until the end of the Aeon (end of the Age/times) and "Look for the bearer of water when the end of the Aeon comes", as Aquarius is portrayed by someone pouring water from a Jug.
@@jfgrenier972 Minus the expected time frame, you're not wrong. The end of the current times will not mean "We're all gonna die" like some will claim, it'll just mean that things will change pretty substantially. Will it be good or bad? No one will know. But realistically, most people alive today won't be alive to see it (since, well, we are talking about something that could happen well over a century from now if your time frame is accurate), but our great grandchildren will be a part of it. That's for certain.

I agree that people have been predicting the return of Jesus Christ almost since the moment he left. However, I have never seen a time in history that more of the prophecies have come true. So it is important to be very diligent.

There's Russia vs. Ukraine, China vs. Taiwan (and the rest of the world), Burma/Myanmar, Haiti, the US border literally dissolving before our eyes, plus the government turning on its own people like never before, mainstream media interfering in elections, rumors of a second American civil war, etc., etc., etc.

I partly disagree. The Bible gives us very specific prophecies to know when we are in the end times. Maybe not the day or the hour, but it’s not unbiblical to attempt to find the year. I take Jesus’ phrase “day or hour” literally. If the Bible didn’t want us to know when it’s close, it wouldn’t give us such specific prophecies like the rebirth of Israel as a nation, the rebuilding of the temple in Jerusalem, the use of genetic engineering on the human genome, etc.

This is exactly my point and the stance I take. I really don’t like when pastors preach on end times, especially when they do it with a confidence that we are getting close. We’ve been in the end times since Jesus was crucified, it’s that simple. Nobody knows when so we should live every day like he’s coming back tomorrow. And honestly, it shouldn’t matter. You could die today, so you should always do your best to live a Christ-like life.
It’s also important to note that he says he will come when nobody is expecting it and a bunch of people are expecting him to come soon. I don’t know if he is or not, but it’s just something to think about.
