Walgate n Bonham are lights out
With respect to Bonham and his Game 2 shutout, the Magic really seem like a 2-person team, with Miller hitting great and Walgate dealing shutout after shutout. But so far this season that formula has been working gangbusters!

RJ Walgate is this year’s Dallas Allen. Untouchable. Great to see Trevor Bonham have a start on the mound - and a successful one at that. All around, the Magic are smiling again and that’s a great thing. Still struggling a bit at the plate, but you just need to get a few on for Grant Miller.
But everyone remembers what happened to Dallas Allen in the playoffs
Wasn't Bonham 2nd in cy young voting 2 years ago. He should absolutely be pitching over Grant Miller.

As a Magic fan since 2019, there's something pretty special about this team that we haven't been able to say since their expansion into the league. Lovin the energy and the gamesmanship that both RJ and Grant are bringing to this team (with RJ's disgusting pitching and Grant's comfortable hitting). Bonham has been quietly effective for this crew too, and Kurdi looked good for his couple ABs. Aigner & Ackerman will find their stroke very soon as I love both of them. This team has some guts in them, could be something in the works for this year and the years to come.

I know Walgate and Miller are cookin' right now, but today's unsung hero has to be Bonham. Not only did he get a W on the mound, he was patient at the plate and took a ton of walks.
Shoutout to all the Magic fans who suffered through years of losing seasons and now get to enjoy watching their team thrive.

As a recent Magic fan (started watching MLW last year), this season has been super exciting to watch! I no longer feel the sense of dread that we won't win a single game each series and the new players and vibes this year have been so so fun to watch. Love the monster rookies in Walgate and Miller and hoping Ackerman can join them soon as a power rookie trio.
Also wanna shout out Walgate for always giving the glory to God and it's super cool to see someone so confident and yet so humble at the same time, keep it up kid!

I’m gonna go ahead and say that the Magic are legit. RJ WALGATE! The dedication of this guy is insane. Superstar already, plus it’s hilarious watching Kyle have to look up at him during his interviews
Walgate is an early Cy Young favorite already. He’s killing it on the mound with 4 shutouts. But I wanna give some appreciation to Bonham. I’ve been a fan of his since he was on the Mallards. Sure he’s not hitting well but on the mound he’s really good. He doesn’t have one great pitch like Kyles Riser or Dan’s knuckle drop. But he throws a few really nice pitches and it gets the job done efficiently. Happy to see him getting a win on the mound! Great series and great video.

Warda was absolutely LOST in this series.
You can tell what guys were absolute ballers on the baseball field, and Grant Miller is one of them. His swing and power is levels above anyone else in the league. Once he get gets more reps and sees more pitches he’ll be a MVP candidate for sure
Jack Aigner might be one of the best managers in MLW. Something wasn’t working so he blew it up. Got the 1st pick and drafted a high quality bat and traded for the 3 to get a CY Young caliber ace. Gotta love it.
Love the addition of RJ to MLW. Seems like a great kid with a good head on his shoulders and tons of talent. Future MLW superstar.

I remember last year, many people, including myself, were a bit critical of Aigner. People said a shakeup was needed, he step away, something. All it takes is a heck of a draft and he was able to get two game changing players. The unsung hero though is Bonham. He always seemed to be on sub-.500 teams...And he really could be a glue-piece to keep the Magic running.
This team reminds me of last years Mallards. Walgate with that arm slot...unhittable.

The vibe I get from this Magic team is special, man. Even though I feel like their offense is still a bit of a concern, their pitching and defense are elite. After all, they’ll only need 1 run to win a game as long as they hold their opponent scoreless 😂 which they’re clearly capable of doing in any given game.
That’s now 5 straight shutouts for this Magic team? And 3 of those were against the Preds, who are coming off a ALCS appearance? Unbelievable. Considering how talented every single MLW team is, seeing anybody get swept is a surprise. This is shaping up to be an all-time great season, and we’re only in the second slate 🤞🏼

Guys, the start from the Metro Magic this season, along with their additions of Grant Miller and Walgate, is literally nothing else but MAGICAL. Pun intended, idc, Walgate is a generational talent on the mound, and he's only 14!?!?!? 4-0 start, with a 0.00 Era through 12 innings (+ any extra innings.) Is quite unfathomable . 👏 👏 👏 And Grant Miller as well with his impeccable defensive plays and prowess, acting as the in-game leader on The field,
"cover 2nd!" In game 3, home run to take the lead as well game 3! Fantastic at the plate as well so far, this is a brand spankin new Metro Magic team! I mean good golly gosh, if that didn't get your wands sticking straight up , you're lying! 😂😂

The telling tale will be when walgate inevitably hits a bump in the road and we get to see how he can stay composed after that. Whether it’s whole teams or specific players , we’ve seen how important momentum is in the equation for success in this league. Good AND bad momentum. Time will tell but for now , RJ is scorching ⚾️ 🔥

Aigner has constructed the ultimate MLW team, a series of incredible pitching talent with at least one good fielding hard hitting bat. All while maintaining the chemistry. Aigner may be one of the least valuable players on the field but the most valuable minds as a manager. Truly impressive

That Walgate kid is a cheat code. Him being so tall makes his release point closer making his 70 mph seem even faster. He will be uncontested Cy Young with all his great pitches as well. I don't think any scouting report is going to help, you are looking at the Randy Johnson of MLW.
used to watch MLW like 10 years ago when it was just all the kids in the backyard making compilations and all that. Crazy to see how big this has become and see the comments of how serious everyone takes it. kinda cool though. not sure if i can be a fan of any of the teams specifically though not even sure how to even get into it like that lol

Guys been watching for the last 3 or 4 years, watched all the back history that was available, live the league so much. Just wanted to share an idea for you to consider, catch phrase kinda promotional tool for the league, one’s the that says it all about the hat the league is and the more what it stands for, and says it all. You have plenty of footage of payers intensely saying it , and next have the fans saying it on camera too. T shirts , the whole deal: I’ve seen it on my vision of the league.......MLW ...LETS GO , I think it would catch on like wild fire and I hear it in every game, I truly believe it’s right there ready to be the league catch phrase, no I love what it says , it sums up my he whole passion of the league and the players ....LETS GO!! Anyway like the idea or not keep up the great work , hope one day you can make it to st. Louis at cardinal stadium 👍

Grant Miller is a FORCE on both sides of the ball. It's amazing how every top draft pick steps in and steps up so quickly. That top draft pick has produced all star after all star. GM is no exception. Tall man was FILTHY, Bonham too. Magic are DEEP! Predators need to burn those grey jerseys after this one. Tough Tough day. Feels like this current Preds roster has gotten a little stale, no new kids. Hopefully they get the black and gold back on and get back to business.
