I owned the 1984 Monte Carlo same look, had the 305 V8 2 toned burgundy and silver with burgundy interior. Loved that car had it for 2 years, but I really miss it. Nice job on yours .
Thank you sir! it is currently sunday night/monday morning 1:35AM and Im blocking out primer on the Monte. Going to be quite a beauty when Im finished with her 😁😁😁
@@SlickWorks wow, would love to see when it’s finished! I have a Blue 84 Monte SS that still has the original 305 in it all original but the carb had to be replaced.
@@chrisrogers8927 right on man! Enjoy your SS! You will see mine when its finished. been workin so hard havent had much time to edit footage but youll see it 🙂
Growing up my Grandma had a beautiful 1986 Monte Carlo with this body style. It was deep metallic blue with the 305 V8. She always kept it Immaculate since she bought it new and drove it until 2001. My sister ended up getting it after that. Unfortunately about a year later a deer was the end of that car.
i baught a 1983 for my fam jam ride and im loving every bit of it the space the style what you can do with it mine came with a original 229 v6 shes smoooth as butter just waiting to get the floors redone so i can hit the streets next summer
Unfortunately in this day and age thats nearly impossible. Pretty sure I got the best deal on a gbody for the coming eternity. Prices have exploded beyond reason over the past year. Would have a hard time finding an interior-free shell with no engine/transmission for 2500 these days.
love your channel great g body man but please brother i need an update on those ramblers... especially the wagon .... best wishes my dude from el paso texas
Hey Javier, appreciate the sub brother! My shop has been undergoing a 12 month renovation. Ive been doing the entire shop build solo. The Ramblers are both in the list of projects to come, but I've been a carpenter, electrician, plumber, etc for the past year of my life. Stay tuned, and thanks for keeping tabs on the channel. big big BIG things to come. cheers, from Langley BC Canada
Soooooo jealous of your T tops. Our weather is just turning around now and we've had a sunny warm streak here in BC so the Monte has been out in all day! two car seats in the back, full custom paint, wire wheels and all! check out the build videos of what I did with this car if you havent yet 😁 Thanks for watching Jerry
If your wanting a classic paint blue, I suggest Mopar consort blue metallic. It was used on 1968 Chrysler Newport’s, 300s, and Imperials. It’s not super dark blue, but much darker than that. I personally think it would look really good on that. Haven’t found many good pictures online of it, if you’re interested I could send you a picture of my grandfathers 68 Chrysler sporting the consort blue
Hey man, thanks for the suggestion! Ive actually found a blue that is perfect for the car, Mopar, oddly enough. Its one of Jeep's new colours, called "Bikini Blue" absolutely beautiful deep metallic pearly teal blue/green. I think it will look fenominal on the Monte. Check it out!
Thanks Olds! Check out the other videos on this car, she's in the middle of an extremely elaborate lowrider pattern paintjob. Actually the first full car paintjob Ive ever done!
Gotta say, I liked the first set of wheels you put on better. But then I'm more into muscle than low rider. I had Cragars on my old Monte. I did have a Mexican buddy with spokes and hydraulics on his. Fun, lol!
Yeah Ive always been more muscle than lowrider. my first Monte Carlo had a decent 350 in it so I turned it from Lowrider to muscle. This car Im keeping stock under the hood, plus it is my rolling billboard for my custom paint business so its got the full lowrider custom paintjob treatment. Thanks for watching Bastian!
Yep Ill be driving it in the snow too 😆 Its my daily driver. Yes, I havent posted in a while. Ive been focusing on building my shop. HUGE changes going on over here.
@@SlickWorks I was refering to the fact that it hasn't rained around here ( Langley ) in a while and so you must have had this footage in the can for some time
Hey brother love ur show man I just got a 1983 chevy monte with 77k miles all original I don't want to super charge it but what can I add to the engine to make it run good and smooth for a longtime
Hey Allan, thanks for watching! congrats on your recent find! First off swap in some fresh fluids, plugs and wires. As far as modifications go: Help it breathe! Get it a fresh carb and air cleaner, headers, exhaust. Youll have a happy small block 👌🏻
@SlickWorks thank you brother for the info I am subscribed to ur channel and can't wait to see when ur Monty is freshly painted it will be epic my friend keep doing great things
Them spokes class up the joint real nice ! Great to see you ! Has been a while... nice to see mumma and the kids all good too !

Fantastic cars! They handle great, float down the road, they're predictable, comfortable and have the turning circle of an austin mini 😆
I want to get the exact same year as this car I'm just hoping I can find as good of a deal as you did

How do you find a car that clean in Canadia land?
We have clean cars on the west coast! East coast..... not so much 😆
I love 76 or 76 Monte Carlo models! Hopefully you get to paint one of these one day.❤❤❤👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
I would love to! 😎
Dream baby!
Great video bro! What kind of carpet extractor did you use to clean the seats?
bissel little grean with warm water. soak the seats down, spray very reduced Super Clean on them, wait a fee mins then vac it out with warm water 🙂
Keep em alive
oh yes 😎
Looks amazing !
looks dope, nice quality content too.
Thanks very much! Havent done any filming in like 6 months. Id like to get going again! 🙂
Ive wanted one just like this since I was 14
See what I did to it! Check out my latest video!
Deff dont use Armor All on the dash it will ruin it and make more cracks. Put a carpet cover over the dash
No more cracks yet! After two hot summers and two cold winters 😎 Also, its tire shine, not armor all 😆

Good luck on your search!

Sorry to hear that George 😔
What color paint is it ?
blue
I have the same exact color I think but I’m trying to find the color code or name so I can repaint the faded areas.
@@wandrews2491 oh hahaha I have no idea it was repainted by the previous owner. I think the similar factory colour is metallic

no clue!
V6?
305 V8
