I think this is the first time I seen you use Piped Buttercream as the decorations on a cake. You use so many different techniques. All come out so beautiful. Very talented to say the least. Also shows your level of creativity and imagination.
When I first saw the thumbnail I thought FOR SURE you had done the piping with Royal. Seriously cannot believe that's buttercream!! Amazing 👏 👏 😃

What do you like better?
@@sophisticakesbymary I cannot say I like anything other than actual cake (chocolate, carrot, fruit). I have been known to scrap off icing because it is too mucky and too sweet. I enjoy watching your videos but I am not a baker/cake decorator.
That is what my husband does too;) I personally love buttercream, but you would be surprised how many don't. You are not alone!

Very pretty, and very pleasantly unusual for you especially considering that you don't do a lot of piping! I love piping buttercream, but I'm not a huge fan of those vintage styles when there's several colors, as I've seen recently. It gets too busy when there's so much to look at texturally in 5 or 6 colors. I enjoy the simplicity of this monotone cake with the contrast of red cherries. I know you say it's not your comfort zone, but very nicely done, Mary!

Can you give us tipe on delivering this type of cakes, I know you don't do it often but I think your experience can give us some insights, for my little experience, these cakes are way too delicate and can be affected by weather more than other cakes, if you have any tips would be great if you can share them, thank you~~ ❤️

Thank you. Why do you put glucose in butter cream?
It makes it a little more elastic for the piping of the drop lines.
