Kibum knew we needed that bit of silence at the end just to absorb the PHENOMENAL fabulousness we just experienced. As an 80s kid (‘81), this slays every bit of nostalgia heaven for me. I haven’t found ANYONE that slays this genre like Kibum/Key. Sure, there are those who do a good job, but Kibum OWNS this concept. He doesn’t just emulate the era-he drags it into the present and makes it HIS. I’ve been listening/watching to this nonstop since premiere and the whole album will be on repeat for the foreseeable future.

CIRCLE, the song AND album are absolute MASTERPIECES…and I don’t say that lightly. There isn’t a single skippable song. Usually, I’ll shuffle an album, but this is so perfectly put together and cohesive that I literally just play it on an endless loop practically 24/7. Asleep, at work, whilst driving…the only times I really pause is when I check out reactions and watch the MV. The concert was spectacular, as well. I wish I could own it on DVD so I could watch it whenever, but I’m happy I at least bought the re-stream so I’ll get another chance. Back to this song, though…it feels and sounds GRAND. The sound is full-to-bursting in the best possible way and Jinki’s vocal acrobatics and layering are pristine, ethereal, immaculate, and truly unmatched. The backing choir adds to the grandeur and I can just picture an orchestra and full choir backing him in a venerated hall with a packed house sitting in absolute rapture…the living silence beating like a heartbeat several measures after the last note fades before the entire audience explodes into applause and accolades. The song truly feels, for lack of a better explanation, just that grand. All this without once mentioning the LYRICS! Good gracious, they’re literal poetry. Words to live by…words we all need to hear… On those waves, we drift together Different faces Differently shaped hearts Not lacking nor sufficient They are beautiful as they are Below the same sun Casting differеnt shadows We are, we arе We’re all different, but all the same. We may look differently, believe differently, love differently, etc, but we’re all one. If you can please check it out, even if it's on your own time, but trust me you won't regret it!!!

I agree with Key's mv about not having a storyline, but there is. He has said there is, but hasn't explained it. There is a UA-camr who pieces Bad love, Gasoline, and Killer as a whole storyline fantastically and it makes sense! I was blown away. Her channel name is Tors1e. If you can see how she pieces it altogether, it will give you an appreciation the puzzle pieces Key put together. He had a storyline that isn't as straightforward, but doesn't SHINee do that all the time lol. It makes sense because he had bsides for Gasoline when working on Bad Love and seemed he had worked on songs that would be put in Gasoline while working on Bad Love as shown in his release of Another Life that was shown in concert when Bad Love had been released. He had talked about behind the scenes of killer that he purposely put Gasoline in between Bad love and killer .... so really he worked on all these albums and songs and concepts at the same time or at least the work overlapped with each other.
Okay I'm back, Killer first. I loved everything about this, the vocals, the music, the choreo and of course the visuals, everything on point and top tier. But we've come to expect nothing less from Key because he's an artist and he's true to himself. There are other comments that explain details about this video better than I can. But I noticed something in a closeup of his face, he has 2 dots above one eye and 3 dots below his other eye, 5 dots for SHINee? Just guessing about that. Lastly, Key got me interested in this genre of music, because I liked it when I heard it, back in the 80's, but I didn't love it, until now!

I burst into tears watching Circle. More than once. Funny thing is that Jinki id an actore, but tbh, I think this song is him. No acting, just him. Way, which he wrote (with Kim Aena, who wrote Circle), carries similar themes. Key said that his Retro chapter has ended - I can't wait to hear what he does next!!

And here’s my interpretation : Let’s say there are four characters in total : -Reality (turtleneck in an abandoned school), -Inner Self (white shirt in vinyl tunnel), -Happy Memories (child in a TV set), -Dark Memories (dark coat in an attic) Connections : 1. Reality : he is the real person, he is the only one can be seen with a more complex mixture of emotions (happy, gloomy, worried, carefree, etc.) also the only one can be seen wandering around, indoor, outdoor, not confined in one space, so I assume he is the ‘real’ person. 2.Inner Self : Onew said that the vinyl tunnel represents a whale’s belly. It’s supposed to be a safe place, a place he can rest and be at ease, it also in connection to the song he has written on his previous album called In The Whale. His emotions are mostly calm and comforting. These two characters are connected, they are communicating with the intercoms. Reality can be seen pacing around like he has a lot of thoughts, hesitating whether or not he should talk to his Inner Self. Yes, the song is basically the circle of Onews life and every life. The good and bad times all circle around, even if we lose the memories, something is left, when time moves on. Onew said the overall message of the song is hope 🥰. I've read online that this album is the most like Onew/Jinki so far. I'm happy that he gets to be himself musically. When I heard SHINee in 2022, I was drawn to Jonghyun and Minho, but the first bias wrecker was Onew singing Rainy Blue. OMG, I got chills/goosebumps and I almost cried! I listened to songs where his vocals were most prominent, then I saw Taemins solos and finally I saw what Key was doing (Bad Love and Gasoline anyone?). My bias is 5HINee, end of story😍🤣

Next, Circle. Your reaction when you first heard his voice, join the club because that's pretty much all of us, Every .. Single.. Time! Yes, the song is basically the circle of Onews life and every life. The good and bad times all circle around, even if we lose the memories, something is left, when time moves on. Onew said the overall message of the song is hope 🥰. I've read online that this album is the most like Onew/Jinki so far. I'm happy that he gets to be himself musically. When I heard SHINee in 2022, I was drawn to Jonghyun and Minho, but the first bias wrecker was Onew singing Rainy Blue. OMG, I got chills/goosebumps and I almost cried! I listened to songs where his vocals were most prominent, then I saw Taemins solos and finally I saw what Key was doing (Bad Love and Gasoline anyone?). My bias is 5HINee, end of story😍🤣

When I want to be energized accomplish things, I play Gasoline album. Now if I want to just chill and relax, it's Circle all the way. Also, noticed the SHINee members represented in the Circle MV?

you are right. soccer ball or fire or both seems to represent Minho and dinosaurs for Jonghyun, Keys for Key, they says mushrooms in childhood scene are for Taemin but I thought crayons represent Taemin ( sorry not sorry Taemin. it's because you ate them as a kid) and bunnies represent onew himself I think
