Well this will make for accurate setting up a lot quicker. I have to find that angle instrument. A quick look has shown me an enormous range in prices for the same item. Thanks for sharing your ideas and making this video Michel. Mark Heavy metal, like Bach Organ works?????
I payed € 139 for it at Aliexpress. But some are not ashamed to ask more than € 300 for this precision instrument. Bach's organ works, indeed, that's the real heavy metal!
Have almost the same item , the bearing at the botom sticks almost out no room for improvement. but the bad fit between table and housing i solved with four brass screws 90 degrees apart in the house that reduces the play in the table and made it more useful. fitting a key is a nice improvement to quick adjust on the bed. nice work.
There are many of these almost the same items in the market. If you look thoroughly however, there are many small differences, and the quality and fit&finish surely isn't the same. This one from Vevor however was OK.
Vevor is definitely about to be running the tool game, ic they haven't started already. Known about then for a while now and am pleasantly surprised at what they've accomplished. That being said, i hope it drives india made products out of existence, since they're way over priced and most of the time completely useless when compared to a Chinese made tool. But i would never waste my money in this poor design of a rotary table because yourd setup for failure from the beginning, these types have little to no room for adjustment and not much in the way of axel forces. Either buy the cheapest one you can find and dick with it tell youre blue in the face or buy a larger replica of an already proven design. You don't want a rotary table that the worm gear Isn't 90 degree with the table gear. Somethings like this thats at that angle only has 1 tooth contact, really you want the whole outside of the table to be gears with a bearing behind the teeth. Not a little bearing in the center holding the whole table in place. Also any adjustment you try in the handle or worn gear, but with their antibacklash set screw on the side will only result in a bent handle fhats hard to turn. If it didn't come pre bent
Agree with what you say about Indian made stuff. I can't say anything about quality though, because I haven't bought anything, not at the prices they charge. Don't understand what you mean about only one tooth engaged if the worm gear isn't 90 degrees to the table gear? A worm gear and worm wheel can only ever be a tangent to each other, so the the angle is irrelevant. Or am I misunderstanding you?
It must be recorded for the voice at a level that requires you to set the listener volumn to max to hear what is being said, and then when the music comes on it comes in at a level the destroys ear drums, causes the neighbors dog to start howling and shatters windows. (sarcasm)
I like your mirror on the column. That would be handy for indicating in a part.

Heavy metal music goes better with machining. 😂
I think Gluck is just as nice.
I will do that when working with tungsten and lead 😉
