This song reminds me of a rough patch 5 years ago due to my first real dealings with grief. On a regular I'd get drunk as hell alone, wander out from my crib around midnight, go buy cigarettes and just wander in the dark as my hometown has alot of parks and forests all throughout. Feeling like I didn't belong here, wanting to get stabbed or whatever, the whole "literally me" stigma in a near empty vessel of a person 😂 If you feel that way, just know that it'll pass, and eventually you'll come to understand that no matter how far you search for happiness, it's not something you'll find out there. Happiness comes from within, you just need to accept who you are and stop giving a damn about who you should've been.
