Then went down the ecstasy rout for a year then tried every thing I could possibly try by the time I was 22 (no needles tho) never got addicted to anything I couldn't walk away from the next day. Still got the same job I been at 7yrs later and doing great. Yes I still burn one and drop some Lucy or dmt but I got my shit together in a great way.

I was reading an old Interview with Flo Mounier. Hes the drummer from Cryptopsy and wanna of the most skilled extreme metal drummers in the world and he said "Deftones were his favorite band." I am 38 years old. I remember being 13 and seeing them at Family Values 1998 when they were the opening band. Fell in love and have seen them at least 15 times since then. Amazing group! Chino is an amazing man as well. Met him at SXSW a long time ago and he was so kind and humble.
Funny I went to family values tour in 98 as well and missed not only chance to see Deftones but incubus as well because both bands fell off the tour for some reason so the line up was korn last, preceded by limp Bizkit, ice cube, Rammstein and then of course fucking orgy to sub in for the Tones SMDH

Me at 16 laying in bed in the middle of the night, watching the stars over the desert behind my house. Being alone didn't feel alone with Deftones in my headphones.
My strongest memory of this song is a -27c walk to (middle) school in Tapiola, Espoo, Finland at 7:30am(ish) some time in January 2006. I was too chicken to use Limewire at 13 to do it myself, but my good friend (to this day) burned White Pony for me onto a CD I listened on repeat for aaages back then. Don't worry folks, I already owned Around the Fur and the Self-titled, but allowance only goes so far '¨:D. This album is the anthem of teenage hormones bubbling up for me - the first crushes, the first "love", the first heartbreak. At 31 I've yet to see them live, but god I'm gonna cry through the whole set whenever I finally see Deftones live.

I was reading an old Interview with Flo Mounier. Hes the drummer from Cryptopsy and wanna of the most skilled extreme metal drummers in the world and he said "Deftones were his favorite band." My brain was like "O yea, they were my favorite band too, like 15 years ago before i discovered "None So Vile" from Cryptopsy \m/ Whats nice is coming back to this old goodness for the nostalgia factor and the goosebumps. I need to find my old 40 pound CD book lol(nostalgia heaven) \m/

I am 38 years old. I remember being 13 and seeing them at Family Values 1998 when they were the opening band. Fell in love and have seen them at least 15 times since then. Amazing group! Chino is an amazing man as well. Met him at SXSW a long time ago and he was so kind and humble.
Funny I went to family values tour in 98 as well and missed not only chance to see Deftones but incubus as well because both bands fell off the tour for some reason so the line up was korn last, preceded by limp Bizkit, ice cube, Rammstein and then of course fucking orgy to sub in for the Tones SMDH

90’s music will be remembered forever for decades and centuries to come
My strongest memory of this song is a -27c walk to (middle) school in Tapiola, Espoo, Finland at 7:30am(ish) some time in January 2006. I was too chicken to use Limewire at 13 to do it myself, but my good friend (to this day) burned White Pony for me onto a CD I listened on repeat for aaages back then. Don't worry folks, I already owned Around the Fur and the Self-titled, but allowance only goes so far '¨:D. This album is the anthem of teenage hormones bubbling up for me - the first crushes, the first "love", the first heartbreak. At 31 I've yet to see them live, but god I'm gonna cry through the whole set whenever I finally see Deftones live.
Great post. Saw them once. My coworker bought my ticket. I spent most of the show baby sitting him because he got too wasted.
