The Louvre staff were awesome. They respected the art in a weird way. Not sure if they banned you. It didn't sound like it. You honestly should have left the painting there. You could have kept on saying you have a painting there.
Honestly everyone in this video was so cool. The cops were really chill about it, the staff were too, and same with all the museum goers. Not a single tense interaction. Just good vibes.

When an art piece goes missing, theres a huge reward for it and someone can claim it no questions asked unless the art is damaged, or they have evidence of the person giving it back being the one that stole it.
They cant do anything to the person returning the art and claiming the reward without evidence of them stealing it, doesnt matter if they're in possession of it. They'll just get interrogated a bit about how they got the art piece
