When I was really little, like 4 or 5 my parents were planting things in our garden in the backyard. I live in Colorado. I grabbed a poppy packet and went sprinting down the neighborhood shaking little poppy seeds everywhere. My neighbors found my parents chasing after my 5 year old self pretty funny. Until the neighborhood was overrun with white poppies the next year. We still get them in patches of our lawn every year.
Love the poppy seed idea and waiting for my piping set to come! You’re my favourite teacher and positive inspiration! I’m actually a nurse but due to years of nursing and health issues I’ve had to stop and that was a big blow. You’ve given me hope and got me up and moving. 4 loaves in and now starting some piping high tops☀️ Thank you so much for being a light in the world! Keep smiling and shining! 🥰💥🌟🌈☀️

Ca girl here. We 1st saw them when I was a young mom living in Lancaster, CA. We were out for a drive one day & GASP!!...around a bend in the middle of our desert was a huge field of these beauties. This was the early 70's & ppl no more followed the rules then....don't pick...don't trample, then they do now. I now live in a CA mobile home park but they are scattered all around here....makes me happy & peaceful :)
as a girl currently growing up in the CA i was also super happy to see this soap i live near mountains so every year me and my family drives to see the beautiful wild poppies
north carolina has a wildflower program where they just..... throw wildflower seeds down beside major roads and highways, and among those wildflowers are poppies! so i've seen poppies growing all over my state, among other flowers.
Yes, I’ve seen them when driving trough NC. They do it here in Tennessee too. Maybe we’re spoiled in our part of the south, cause we have all these wild flowers just sprouting up everywhere? 🙈 😊
Would LOVE to see a Blue Bonnet soap - we lived in Texas for four years, and seeing them bloom was our favorite part of spring! We tried to grow them here, in Wisconsin, but they just don't take.
I live in North Texas and let me tell you mowing our lawn is a fun task, we get big patches of them all over our yard so we use a week eater to avoid mowing them. Our yard looks crazy in the spring.
November would be a great time to do a red poppy soap. Red poppy’s are often used for Veterans Day in the US and Remembrance days in other countries to honor veterans. Also a state flowers soap collection would be awesome.

My grandfather was ww2 veteran so remembrance day has always been important to my family but even MORE so now since grampy passed away last year... Red poppies represent veterans in the US too, must be an international thing. My daughter was poppy princess for 2 years at our VFW. Red poppies will always signify our freedoms. 💜
@@justkibby5959 It's definitely international as it's a thing in the UK too. It's because the battlefields after WWI ended became covered in poppies and it became the symbol to remember those who served and died during the wars
Red poppies were apparently the first plants to flower on the battlefield after the war. I am in Australia and they are used in Remembrance Day celebrations.
In Australia we have 2 days we remember with poppies. Remembrance Day 11 November as mentioned already, and ANZAC day which is 25th April. ANZAC stands for Australian and New Zealand Army Corps, and 25/4 is the anniversary of the day the ANZAC soldiers reached Gallipoli in Turkey and joined the fight in WWI it was devastating to our troops and not a battle we won. But some did survive to tell the tale and I wouldn't be here otherwise as my Great Grandfather was one of those who got to come home.
ANZAC day is going to be so different without dawn services this year!! But I do love me a red poppy, I think Flanders Field is where they grew during the first world war in Belgium? It has something to so with the Battle of Passchendaele. Oh I'm appalled at my knowledge gap hahaha 🇳🇿🇳🇿🇳🇿
Oh man, Katie. They're everywhere. There's the fields, sure, but there's also ditches, fencelines, the middle area on freeways, etc etc. Little pops of color to break up the doldrums of traffic.
When I lived in California, it was most often on the side of the highways I'd see the poppies growing, just huge swaths of golden orange up and down the foothills. They grow everywhere and love to shine.
A red poppy soap would be perfect if you ever did a Wizard of Oz collection! I would love to see any kinds of flowers you wish to make, it would be really interesting to see what methods you use.
Love this one! And, I gotta say, Royalty Soaps are saving my hands. I had been using RS almost exclusively for a few days. However, I used other soap for 2 days and my hands were burning like crazy. I had been gardening and baking, thus washing my hands way too much and grabbing any old soap. Today I went back to RS and no more burn or irritation. Thank you, Duchess and all Your court.
These are SO cute! I love the high contrast! I was thinking some black sesame seeds or something of that nature would look so good in the center of the poppies because it would look like the pollen in the centers and it would bring some of that black onto the top!
I live in California and see poppies EVERYWHERE. They grow by the sidewalks on my grandma's street and a bunch of other places. It's interesting hearing how excited you are about them. Makes me proud and a little bit like I take them for granted. They're just so normal here. 🤷♀️❤

But California poppies hold a special place in my heart......even if they have weird, stinky carrot looking roots. :)
I grew up in CA. One day, while I was in Kindergarten, my mom bought a Poppy to plant along our long driveway. She hopped that the Poppy would spread and we'd have beautiful Poppies all along the driveway. Well, I got home from school that day, was walking down the drive, and saw this beautiful new flower. I binge watched your videos as I was healing from getting my wisdom teeth extracted back in October 2019. I was 23 and the surgery recovery was even worse than getting my tonsils out at 21 which is labeled as one of the top most painful surgery recoveries if you have it done as an adult and it was terrible but the wisdom tooth extraction was way worse. I ended up with dry socket in the two bottom tooth holes and had to go back to the surgeon to have them packed with clove oil and gauze. Anyways I said all that to say that your videos were the only things that kept me from going insane lol I was so miserable. And now I’m back and I love your videos
You should do a red one for Memorial Day! Poppies represent remembrance of veterans in Canada, and they wear poppy pins for Memorial Day. I live really close to Canada and my dad runs a cemetery, so we have a Memorial Day thing, and the Canadian Legion brings them for us to wear
Being a California Native, and living in the Mojave Desert where we would get the wild poppy fields, I guess I took seeing them every year for granted! We would drive up to the wild poppy field, and my daughters would love all the different colors. There were purples, the orange of the poppies, yellow, wild sage, etc. You did a good job Katie, making those poppies!

I love the golden poppy!! Norcal native here, the golden poppy fields are the best!! Also Will yall be selling your soap frosting piping kit again soon?
So, I was a teenager in California in the 70's. That green brought back memories of shag carpet. 😄 However, it's illegal to pick poppies in California as it is the state flower so I'm afraid I cant use the soap.😆

I used to live in California, when I was younger i would go on this hike with my family that had California poppies everywhere, the California poppy is still my favorite flower to this day.
Pansies are really pretty and easy to pipe like buttercream. And purple is my favourite colour, lol. I love the colours in the poppy soap, the orange, greens, and black look great together.
This has to be one of my most favorite bars of yours!! I love the simplistic yet dramatic nature of it!!! I would love to see a low-top of like a field of wildflowers or something 😍😍
Katie, I have yellow and orange poppies growing in my garden. They grow every year and I leave them alone. Nature does all the work. I didn't plant them, they just came up on their own so probably the previous owner. I live in South Wales in the UK. I have seen fields of red poppies and that is a really stunning sight to see. All the best to you. God be with you all. Stay Safe. Stay Well. Stay Home.
California poppies are my favorite flowers! I used to live in central cali in a city and didn’t get to see them enough but now I’m in real north NorCal and I love seeing them everywhere in their bright little bunches. So cute!
My favorite bike path is lined with California Poppies right now!! The red wing black birds have come back from their winter vacation, too! Pops of orange and red are everywhere!!
California native here! Love, love, LOVE how you did the poppies! One of the houses in my neighborhood actually has a bunch of them growing on the side of their house, growing in between their lavender bushes. I kid you not, it makes for the most magical sight in the spring. So pretty!
Omg, all the flowers! I'd love to see any florals you'd like to look at. I'm an Aussie and we have some really beautiful flowers that I think you'd get a kick out of! And on a personal note daffodils are my favourite flower so I'd love to see a design with them! That's for being a bright spot in my day and have a great Easter!
Californian here :) I live across from an empty lot and CA poppies grow there along with flowering weeds. It's good for the pollinators and they make the space into a mini wild garden. I love your pretty orange poppies, awesome job piping.
I live in England and have poppies in my front garden and their is also loads of poppy fields around here. They are beautiful we love having family photos taken their.
Having lived in Calif. all my life and now not so proud of this state, we do have lovely poppies here. We grow them in our yards, along the roads, and when we go to the coast, they are everywhere. On the cliffs with all the ice plant. Stunning to see the ocean crashing and bright orange poppies with yellow, bright pink, purple, red, orange ice plant hanging on the cliffs. Breath taking and I never tire of looking at them. The poppies will be blooming very soon now that spring is here. The soap was so bright and cheery. Great job Katie. Look up ice plant on the cliffs of Mendocino and look at the beauty! It's really real. :0)
Yes! A Texas wildflower soap with blue-bonnets, indian paintbrushes, black-eyed susans, and little pink primroses would be fun - call it central texas summer
Oh you nailed the orange color perfectly! Those poppies grew in the flower bed in front of my childhood home, an unorganized hodge podge of poppies and ferns... love it❤
You really nailed the orange poppy color. The DOT plants wildflowers along the highways and interstates only use red poppies but the cosmos are always colorful.
I live in Ca so I see them all the time! I walk around my block and see them, or drive around and see them all over on the side of the road! So pretty!
Omg how have I only seen this now?! California poppies are absolutely one of my fave flowers ever!! We have some in our garden and not only are they soooo pretty, but also so... soft! Their petals are totally one of the silkiest things I have ever touched, I just so wish I could take some and sew myself a nice blanket out of them. If you do see some please make yourself a favour and rub their petals between your fingers!
my hometown of Castroville, Texas is overrun with poppies every year. like i'm talking yards absolutely dense full of red poppies. they bloom around the same time as the blue bonnets and mountain laurels and it's refreshing to walk through my old neighborhood and literally be surrounded with the colors of spring. 😊😊😊
I was super lucky, this time 2 years ago i was in Italy for study abroad and a bunch of us went to Athens Greece for a weekend trip and the acropolis was covered in beautiful little red poppies. One odd the best trips we took!
Poppy bloom when they really want to, they are here in the spring but depending were you live in California like northern we have them in early summer. I would love to see a soap with sweet peas. Thank you so much for your wonderful videos.🦋🐬⛳
I live in San Diego and I used to drive between San Diego and North County twice a week and my favorite time of the year was when the poppies were blooming. We have wild swaths of them up and down I15, our major freeway thru there. I love them so much!!!
As a native Californian (who currently lives in Texas) i grew up seeing wild poppies everywhere. I miss them so much. They grow random places like the side of highways the same way blue bonnets do
We live in California and yes the poppies are gorgeous. If you are ever lucky enough to drive on highway 49 (the golden chain) in the Spring you will have the pleasure of seeing entire mountains covered with poppies. Southern California poppie fields are overrun with tourists but the Golden Chain goes on for the entire length and cover huge mountains. Right now is the best time to see them. Remember this one thing: it is against the law to pick them from public lands. You can grow your own if you want to have them to pick. On our property we have wild poppies, daffodils and pure iris growing. No, I don't pick them because they are wild. I enjoy watching the local wildlife sleep in the poppies. They can grow anywhere and seeds are readily available. Love this particular soap because it's poppies ❤
Cali girl here the flowers are gorgeous. California poppies were my mom's favorite flower and green her favorite color. She died in a motorcycle accident a few years ago on April 19th. I'd say this soap being made and released at this timeb of year is no coincidence. I hope I'm able to purchase some before they sell out. My mom planted CA poppies all over her yard. You can purchase the seeds and plant them yourself. I'll see if I can find some to send you 😊
Love the poppies. I grew some California poppies in my garden one year, (Ontario, Canada). So, you don’t have to wait to go to California. You can bring a little California to your home. Stay well, stay safe. Also, thanks for your enthusiastic video.
I love poppies! Where I come from there are a lot of fields and poppies and cornflowers get mixed with crops. It's sooooo pretty. When I was a teen I loved to ride a bike and pick poppies. They didn't last long, but for a short photoshoot with a friend it was enough. As for the flowers that could be cool for you to pipe, pansies! They would look so cool with two colours of piping

So cute!
I absolutely LOVE the darker colored soaps. They're so eye-catching! Perfect contrast with the bright poppies! :)
ANY cool flowers form ANYWHERE will be AWESOME!!!🌷🌼🌻🌺🥀🌹🏵🌸
Oh you could do flowers of the month! I think the poppies are very delightful. Love watching you make soap, makes me smile
I have lived all my life in Southern California and when golden poppies have bloomed you can see then on the freeway
It is sooooo beautiful
My favorite bike path is lined with California Poppies right now!! The red wing black birds have come back from their winter vacation, too! Pops of orange and red are everywhere!!
California native here! Love, love, LOVE how you did the poppies! One of the houses in my neighborhood actually has a bunch of them growing on the side of their house, growing in between their lavender bushes. I kid you not, it makes for the most magical sight in the spring. So pretty!
California! Our GOLDEN poppies are indeed gorgeous 😊🧡. This soap looks gorgeous too!
Just drive through the mountains of Northern California, and there are so many beautiful poppies! They are everywhere!
I think a sunflower soap would be beautiful to see. They sure make me happy.
I briefly lived in southern France and I remember poppies would grow out of sidewalk cracks and walls like pretty little weeds. I loved it!
Oh please do a Bluebonnet. I was born in Texas and growing up they were always my favorite.
I would love to see a Lily of the Valley soap. They grew at my mom's house and I love going up her walk when they were in bloom.
As a Cali girl I grew these cause they grow so well here in Cali. And they are just gorgeous when there's a super bloom.
I saw these starting to bloom everywhere and I love how vibrant they are
Having lived in Calif. all my life and now not so proud of this state, we do have lovely poppies here.
I’d love to see a blue bonnet soap 😊 definitely not from Texas but I’ve always thought they were gorgeous!
I have experienced these gorgeous flowers on two continents. This video was a ray of sunshine.
I'm Californian, born and raised, and I see poppies growing wild all the time!
my hometown of Castroville, Texas is overrun with poppies every year. like i'm talking yards absolutely dense full of red poppies. they bloom around the same time as the blue bonnets and mountain laurels and it's refreshing to walk through my old neighborhood and literally be surrounded with the colors of spring. 😊😊😊
I can’t believe how many ideas you come up with. This one is really very special. Congratulations
I was super lucky, this time 2 years ago i was in Italy for study abroad and a bunch of us went to Athens Greece for a weekend trip and the acropolis was covered in beautiful little red poppies. One odd the best trips we took!
Obsessed with this bar! The simplicity with the colors is incredible!
This is the first year I’ve seen poppies growing wild locally, they’re so pretty.
They grow random places like the side of highways the same way blue bonnets do
Yes! Welcome back, Evangeline! You were missed ❤️
Omg when the oils turned black it was so satisfying! It looked like perfect ink for a quill 😍
Your poppies are beautiful!!! I did one for the American Legion with red poppies, but I love the orange!!!
