I miss all the negative archetypes. The devouring monster, the adversary, the evil king, the overwhelming nature element (the flood etc). This video is okay from a self-help perspective. But it really misses the depth that makes Jungian psychology so healing.
I don’t think The Jester archetype has to do with the The Joker from batman. The Jester is about enjoyment and pleasure, not about “revenge against the hypocrites” like The Joker. I think The Joker was actually given his name ironically because he’s really not about lighthearted enjoyment
These all stem from the 12 signs of the zodiac. The 4 groups are based on the elements and their relation to the psychological temperaments. LEAVE A MARK are the Fire signs (Choleric): Aries, Leo, Sagittarius. SPIRITUAL JOURNEY are the Water signs (Phlegmatic): Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces. PROVIDE STRUCTURE are the Earth signs (Melancholic): Taurus, Capricorn, Virgo and CONNECT TO OTHERS are the Air signs (Sanguine): Libra, Aquarius, Gemini.
You are missing that the archetypes manipulate the psychic forces. One can embody all of these archetypes separately, in a symbolic manner. I see these archetypes happening within my experiences. Nobody is one single archetype, that is far too exact for what Human Nature and the psyche are known (to us) as being. However one specific archetype can be more noticeable than the rest, but you cannot shed the other archetypes. Assuming that one is embodying only one archetype is allowing the Ego to take the concept of such knowledge, and try to apply it to the "Perceived reality". But in doing this, it can only see what is presented unto it. The Ego cannot see deeper. The all encompassing Self understands that, and can witness the archetypes flowing and manipulating in unison, with one archetype being more in tune than another.

Did the test for both myself and my girlfriend and to be honest, both were surprisingly realistic. I don’t know if it’s pure chance but both personalities make sense for us and I’m almost convinced.
I think the speaker did a nice job of explaining all the different aspects of each archetype. What gets confusing is that depending on who you study, these archetypes can take on different names and identities and they can be somewhat hard to define at times. Still, I think the speaker generally nice job of giving out an overall description of what each archetype represents.

Hello, I have a quick question: Do I get to decide or manipulate what archetype I am? If I want to become a warrior or king archetype, can I change my behavior to fit that archetype and eventually become it?
Low key the video doesn’t explain that part great. The idea behind jungian archetypes is that they are fundamental elements of every humans psyche. You have a king, warrior, sage, lover all in you; but you also have a the opposite. These archetypes often overlap in some sense and there are always negative and positive elements to them. An example is how an over-expression of the king archetype is a tyrannical control freak.
This are not all the arquetypes and you could improve your communication skills (edit your audio, if u must). You could also have shown some examples of the arquetypes you did mention.

I used to over think very analytically, but i get what you say. The elements of what is in side us, is everywhere around us in our lives and nature, and im starting really experience it more profoundly lately. I've got a "tool box" now, gathering "tools", wheather its tarot cards, drumming, dance, meditation, or channeling (i'm still at learning stage) but i feel how the energies resonate with me, and off we go to explore and feel, and heal and its amazing!!! Liberating, most of all humbling. Weve got all these energies and elements inside ourselves, and i for one has just been programmed and my attention has been focused so much on the outside world, without really feeling whats inside me- diversions. Currently, i'm really getting into the chakras, especially the sacral, learning all about her as ive totally neglected her. Using sound, colour and the goddess Hathor. Pearson's book, only in a few moments he tries (and fails) to add some natural nature to this important content (not to mention his terrible pronunciation "The Sesh" Instead of the Sage for instance. you could (even if this video is already 4 years old) simply use any AI software, maybe elevenlabs, and you would end up with a more immersive video.
