I think the video has to do with celebrity culture and obsession with becoming like your idol. Fans know exactly how famous people act, talk, walk...and so the press at the end doesn't notice the difference. They don't care/notice any change in personality, or they don't want to. Having a "powerful face" and reputation suffices.
